Don't buy from this store, the worst customer service. If u ask them any questions, they don't even want to answer u or just said I don't know or if u can't found it than we sold out (but the website show still available). The cashier very rude, if u don't want to do business just close the door. I will never go to this store again. Thank you for this terrible experience, this is why everyone switch to online shopping.
Was less of a book store than I was expecting, I guess it's good if you want to grab some basic stuff for someone. But you not finding anything special here that's for sure. I know avid readers know that already but yeah.
Chapters was a book store. Indigo is a lifestyle store with more books than average to go with the pillows, blankets, candles, etc. I preferred Chapters.
Came here for the first time after covid and its definitely changed. Seems a little more empty, shelves are empty, but they still have a really good stock of books. Apparently they removed a lot of the chairs due to loitering and there's no longer a starbucks there.
Very good place for birthday day cards and books lots of information here if u need to know something and great customer service. Would definitely come back here again
Great merchandizing skills, so I'm glad I didn't have time to shop for more than my online order! In other words, VERY TEMPTING to browse when laid out so beautifully! Sad to see Starbucks gone, though. Coffee and books go so well together. I'm hoping they're just renovating.
There are a lot of items besides books to buy and it was nice to see a variety of collections supporting and giving notice to many different types of aspects in our society. The back to school stationery, notebooks, and other objects are of fine quality and I loved the Cook Book section.
Good selection for a smaller sized store. The Starbucks inside is still closed, would be good if they used that space for more books and less journals/housewares, but overall a decent store to shop in, clean and well spaced.
Been a while since I was last in here, has become less of a bookstore, more of a home store. More empty book shelves, usually only one copy of each book. Internal Starbucks is closed.
There's small amount of books but kids like this place.because of small items for kids are attract them.if you need books i recommend other shop, but if you want to exposed books for ur young children.that's enough!
Great place to buy books and gifts for my family. It's fun to browse in person, and has the added benefit of supporting local brick and mortar stores. I stay away from Amazon whenever possible.
Always enjoy. Different stores have different amount of stock and variety due to size. Best is Metrotown, but staff always pleasant, and very interesting products in store
Good covid protocols in place. Lots of discount stuff hidden in the back by the old starbucks. If you're looking for puzzles, their online selection is massive and really well priced. Bookwise, they have almost everything new and popular but not so much those rare finds you might be looking for.
The worst online shopping experience ever! I paid for more than 200CAD for lego for my kids, do not received anything for more than a month, the customer service info me the refund will be processed after they receivewd the goods back. And the item will be ship back to their company after 10 days of final notice. After a month, I still not got the refund, I contact with customer service again, they told me this time, I need to track the package my own and be responsible for make sure it back to the warehouse. This is totally different than what he told me a month ago.the issue is still not solved! I get not the shipment nor the refund! I am now very suffer about their irresponsible about my shopping and really really bad experience.
I am not a book worm but this place have so much more. Watching such a great collection made me feel so into them. Those fragrence candles will take you with them to another world and toys too for younglings. For adults the mugs and glasses are good too.
For the long standing Indigo (previously Chapters) bookstore at this location, renovations have consistently kept up the look and feel of the store. Well lit, tidy and pleasant, the environment is inviting and the staff is cheerful and helpful. The self-service kiosques on the other hand, can do with some much needed repairs. Plentiful underground parking spaces accessible from the mall exit.
Nice bookstore. Not good customer service. I was also victim of wallet theft, while there, at the Starbucks inside Chapters, I was offered little assistance from both establishments. Both establishments have video surveillance cameras. Only that there are not that many and poorly placed. What is the point of having cameras if they are placed in useless positions/places?
Pretty good location, nice collection of things. I went to pick up a package I'd ordered online and they were very helpful. Maybe it's the time I go, though it's usually still busy, but I tend to have a harder time catching a staff member to help if I need it. It's a little inconvenient, but of no fault to the staff. They always help as soon as they can.
They had planners for $5! Steal deal! Always love just spending hours in here trying to pick a book. Bujo stuff available in abundance.its like my disneyland:)
Lots of customer service on the floor, knowledgeable, courteous, polite and most importantly, happy to be there. Off all the staff on the floor, I have never seen them check their personal phones in the aisles. Either they are really good at hiding this or their are strict policies in place.
The Metropolis location is a gong show during the holidays. I they should have all the tills open during the holidays to speed things up.
My preferred method of shopping lately has been online and then pick it up at this location. Great experience on both fronts.
Just fine for a bookstore. Categories are a bit of a mess but that's to be expected with the state of bookstores. Needs more nonfiction that's for sure.
Great selection and well kept store. Kids section is well done and stocked. I don't think it's appropriate for staff to talk loudly about how much they have to put up with organizing the shelves though, kids touch stuff.that's what they do.
This is by far the nicest place and very friendly staff only thing my daughters favourite indigo store beside the Granville and broadway. The only downside is the Starbucks are very messy and their washroom is dirty as well their condiments are always empty and needed to ask most of the times.
Really nice layout with great selection - only issue is that their cash line is almost always long and there are not many staff members on the floor to ask for help.
Their in-store prices are not reflective of their online prices which is always higher. Their online website doesn't even allow you to lookup their in-store prices, so if you want to buy a book at their store, it can be up to 40% more expensive.
No wonder Chapters is shutting stores left and right. Their prices are significantly more expensive in-store than their website. I saw this hardcover book that I wanted to pick up but didn't wanted to wait for the turnaround shipping time. When I arrived at the Metrotown location, the price was 40% more expensive than their online price which I felt was unacceptable.
This chapters is quite nice. Even t here is a starbucks inside.so you can look around with your coffee. It's always my go-to place. They usually have items in stock if you can't find in the other locations. Staff here are always happy and friendly.
Solid book store. They carry everything a book store should carry and a little extra! In comparison to other Chapter's I found this location to be scarce on staff.
They have a very good kids books and toys section, and that is where I'm at right now, so I'm giving Chapters 5 stars. Do their prices compare to Amazon? No, not really, but sometimes it is nice to see and buy the book when you want it, and not wait. I've gotten a couple great deals the books clearance section. I generally just like being in the store, and find it quite relaxing to shop here. I would recommend.
