Was traveling down memory lane and found a video InFocus did for our organization years ago. I had forgotten what a fabulous production it was and how well and professionally they executed the project. Thanks again for the great work!

Wish I had discovered InFocus's Graphic + Digital program sooner, the zoom class are really immersive [ like a live classroom ] and each dedicated instructors are amazing and really have the students interests top of mind. Highly recommended to anyone looking to enter the design field or just looking to upgrade some new skills

I recently completed the Graphic + Digital Design Program at InFocus Film School, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. All instructors are very helpful and I want to thank Leila for being such a great teacher. I learned a lot during her classes, She's an amazing teacher always willing to help the students. I really miss her classes. Coming to this school is one of my best decision. I'd recommend it to anyone who is serious about becoming part of the industry. The program is tough and for good reason, because it creates the best possible graduates.

With so many schools to choose from I'm extremely thankful I decided to attend InFocus. The staff at the school are incredibly kind and helpful making the process easy from start to finish. I was in the Graphic + Digital Design Program and the instructors were absolutely hands down the best you could ask for. They are available outside of class hours to help with any problems, and truly go above and beyond to help students succeed. There is extensive feedback for on going projects and hands on, in class work throughout the entire program that facilitated learning and continued improvement on skills and projects. Each project is unique and correlates to skills and knowledge required in the industry. I can honestly say this program rivals many degree and diploma programs as the amount of skill and the projects gained upon graduation is incredible. I have never felt so proud of the work I've done and have had so much fun doing it. I can't say enough good things about the school and I recommend InFocus Film School to anyone who is looking to learn and succeed with a career in graphic design.

Hight quality teachers! Giving you tips and material from the real world as a graphic designer, you will work on projects where you will apply all the theory learned and you will see your evolution if you keep practicing and making an effort. The teachers are very attentive to any doubts you may have or if you have any problems during the course that need special attention. They also create a healthy work environment among classmates where you receive constructive feedback, where group work and learning other styles is encouraged. My experience in this school has been very good and I am grateful for everything I have learned to each of my teachers and classmates.

The 1 year crash course on film production was great - everything I needed to prepare me for a career in the film industry! InFocus has an excellent group of instructors and support staff who go the extra mile to support our learning.

I took their compositing program and it worked great for me. I came in with literally zero photo/video editing experience (not even Photoshop), and a month after graduation I got a job as a compositor in VFX studio here in Vancouver. The course was substantially cheaper than VFS/Lost Boys/Langara's VFX programs, fully online and short-term. I could still work part-time. The best thing about InFocus is that it's small and humble, so everyone up to the director of the school are very approachable and ready to help. They are really there to make sure you succeed, it's great. Also, I got plenty of industry connections and insights through mentors that teach evening classes. Overall, I'd highly recommend this course! And yes, the VFX industry is booming now, so it's a great time to get in.

This is an amazing school! My experience here is extremely good. People are very nice and instructors are very helpful! Coming to this school is one of my best decision to pursue my career as a filmmaker! I would definitely recommend Infocus Film school.

My career started long ago on a communications path and was more of left-brain thinking but with the recent training at Infocus Film School Graphics & Digital Design, I finally had the opportunity to get my right brain cranking in design thinking. It's not all fanciful stuff. With designing, you learn all your life. I had professional instructors with real experiences, plus tons of hard work on my part to complete interesting projects. After graduation, if you are not from Vancouver, you are quite on your own as emails are often ignored. Infocus lacks in post-training strong alumni relationship, as this seems to be done selectively for PR.

Pendant que notre mère nous preparait notre repas elle a reçu un appel téléphonique. La personne sur l’autre bout parlait avec ma mère dans une manière très méchante. Quand ma mère voulait l'ui poser des questions la personne sur l'autre bout a simplement racrocher le téléphone sur sa face. J'ai seulment 15 ans et s'était triste voir comment méchante cette école est envers ma mère.

Having no experience with 3D but always being something that caught my interest I decided to take the 3D animation program at Infocus Film School. I have learned so much, and was given the right advice for my portfolio- from industry professionals!

Miguel is an amazing coordinator that ensured that we always were taken care of! My modelling mentor Arturo along with my animation instructor (Selman) and my Lighting instructors Kiruthiga also spent countless hours giving me constructive criticism and ensuring that the end product was worth showing.

A few months after graduation and after applying I was offered a position at Mainframe Studios. I want to thank the entire staff at infocus for working their magic and rolling out their online program in record time!

I am still to this day very thankful and highly recommend to work hard!

I was in the Film Production Program. It's intense but very useful, as someone who didn't know anything, I learned a lot. The teachers are all very caring and ready to guide you in whatever you need. The school is small but has more than enough (equipment, etc) to offer its students through their program. All in all, a good investment for the start of your filmmaking career.

The school has an intimate, down-to-earth environment. This means that every students receives the opportunity to develop their skill set with equal support from its experienced faculty. The teachers were excellent. All of them were very knowledgeable and had current, real-life advice. But the best thing about the program was how hands-on it was.

I was in the film production program in 2017. The program was for 10 months. It was very intensive which I personally liked. They let you make different projects throughout the program. The program helped me to understand the technicality and creativity of how to light a scene which was most beneficial for me as I didn't know much about it. As for directors, they let you direct different projects and under proper supervision, they let us direct a scene in the class itself with professional actors and guide us what else could directors do to make actor's lives easier. They have small classes so instructors can actually sit one-on-one with you and help you with all your questions and problems. All in all, it's an excellent program for film makers and they help you make contacts with professionals in the local industry. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is looking to get into industry.

Because of the skills I developed while attending InFocus Film School, I entered the film industry as a camera trainee and soon after began interning on union sets around Vancouver. Attending InFocus was a great decision and has completely changed the trajectory of my life!

InFocus film school gave me access to the equipment, knowledge, and people needed to find a path into the VFX industry. I started working at a major studio right after graduation. They liked the my demo reel that I created in the program. Big thanks to Miguel one of the instructors. If you're willing to put time in, you'll do great things and meet great people at InFocus.

I am a graduate of the 10 Month Intensive Film Production Program at InFocus Film School and and I could not be happier with my experience. This is a school that truly supports the creative vision of their students and responds to each student on an individual level. Like the industry itself, the curriculum is always changing to better match the direction of the field. I received countless hours of one-on-one instruction and guidance. InFocus genuinely cares about the happiness of each and every student - having a huge impact on our growth and success. My transition to working in the Indie Film Industry was seamless and I have been fortunate to have a steady stream of employment. The industry is very busy right now and I am grateful to have the skills necessary to be selected for so many opportunities!

I have only limited experience dealing with this school so yours might differ:

after contacting admissions officer by email and asking him a few questions i've got an answer suggesting we have a phone conversation instead.i've explained that i rather have all the answers in written form since i'm considering more than one school and some information might get lost in the process. The man said he has too many people contacting him to answer to every one by mail.what? Isn't it his JOB? Okey, i've said we can skype. On the agreed date and time i went to skype and wrote to this person that i'm online and waiting for his call.one hour later there was no progress, one more hour and still no call from him.i gave up.

Maybe this was his way to get rid of a person he doesn't want as a student, maybe he's just extremely lazy and unprofessional, in any case, i'm taking my time and money elsewhere and i suggest you to do the same.

It’s a scam! They keep saying is better than VFS, but they are not! Pretend to care about the students, but trully only wants your money.

This is a fantastic school that honestly cares about its students. They focus on hands-on, practical experience, and you're shooting a new project every month! The instructors are all working professionals and extremely knowledgable. They continue to offer help and references, years after I finished school.

After graduation my grad project won a grant from Storyhive to expand into a web series pilot. I couldn't have done it without the help of InFocus Film School.

I'm really happy I went to this school. Very nice and helpful teachers. Enjoyed having the chance to explore so many different filmmaking styles and trying all the different roles. I feel it really helped me figure out my own creative direction. I got a really good vibe at InFocus. Really great value for the price you pay compared to other schools in my opinion.

I have done a couple of courses at this school and I love it! The instructors have been wonderful in their teachings & sharing their own stories. I loved it so much that I will be going back again to continue my studies.

I loved my experience at Infocus film school during visual compositing program I took. Program was intense, short and well worth as it did not only provided huge amount of knowledge but great community for future days. Steve, head of the school is extremely helpful and supporting and he does care for his student’s future. Miguel who is head of compositing program is great teacher and always looking ways to improve student’s experience. All together, great place to spend 14 hour days ;) Shortly after my program ended, I got opportunity to work on short movie directed by one of the teachers in the school.

InFocus Film School provides affordable, quality education through accelerated hands-on learning.

I took the Compositing for Visual Effects program in 2017. The course ran for only 3 months, and I was surprised and impressed by how much material was fit into that time! As fast paced as it was, it was never too overwhelming and I quickly gained confidence in my ability to use the tools and techniques I was taught.
The success of this course was due to the fantastic teachers/industry mentors brought in to share their specific areas of insight and walk the students through each lesson step by step. The relatively small class size was a big plus as well because we each got plenty of time to work through our problems with the teachers and with each other. I learned a lot from my classmates after we all became familiar with different compositing techniques and shared them with each other. Finally, I should mention the friendly, stress-free environment of the school itself. The school's staff are all very friendly and eager to help in whatever way they can. Students have 24/7 access to the school and its resources, which made it easy for me to work at my own pace. I could come in whenever I had free time to work on projects, even working late into the night. That was very helpful when coping with the stress of meeting that final deadline! It's a more personalized experience than bigger schools can offer, which is important for any kind of learning.
I'm very happy with my time at InFocus! I would recommend this school to anyone who feels they would excel in this kind of environment.

I got a documentary course on 2011 in this school and now I am super happy for the time that I spent there. There are several reasons that I would like to highlight about InFocus compare to other film schools in Vancouver. First of all, the instructors are well experienced and bring lots of practical knowledge to the class. Secondly, the method of teaching is really practical and from the first-day students get involved with production period. Besides, the price is really reasonable and affordable and finally, after finishing the program I realized my network and connection got dramatically changed.
I highly recommend this school to everybody who would like to start or continue his education in the film industry.

I took the 6 month Film Production Program from 2016 to 2017, and I'm so happy that I did. The school has small class sizes, with plenty of one on one time with the teachers, as well as lots of hands-on time with the gear. In a short period they covered every aspect of filmmaking, from operating a dolly to lighting your own film noir scene. We got to learn and practice all the roles in production and post-production, such as directing, gripping, camera operating, editing, and much more. The instructors are extremely dedicated and knowledgable, and assist you with any question or subject you need information on. InFocus is very supportive of it's students. After graduation, the school is enthusiastic in helping to find you work opportunities and check in on your progress. The attentive nature of the staff at InFocus is what really sets the school apart to me. I learned vital filmmaking knowledge at InFocus, and now feel confident in my abilities to do my own film work.
