The on-boarding was smooth and they were able to take me on right away despite me not having all the information for the intake form ready. Doctor Alex was funny, explained everything thoroughly and gave me options. Amy, the hygienist who worked on me, was thorough, made sure I was comfortable. She was gentle but thorough and made sure the X-rays came in a timely fashion. 12/10 would recommend. Don’t know why I waited so long.

Dr. Alex Darrach-Cottick and Assistant made my tooth extraction an extremely easy experience! The kind and gentle demeanour that they exhibited gave a genuine sense of care. Best dentist in Victoria by far!

Very efficient and very friendly. I love that the insurance claim gets done so smoothly. I really enjoy how Aimee took a minute to update my medical info too. She was very thorough with the cleaning and check up. I love that Dr. Alex came to check in with me too. I love getting my swag bag too. You can never have enough tooth paste and floss.

I switched to this clinic last year and haven't looked back! Dr Hana is fantastic; she's kind and knowledgeable and, most importantly, gentle on my mouth despite having to do some difficult work. I've been to the office 4 times now, and the whole team is always smiling and upbeat. It's weird to say you DON'T want to leave your dentist's office, but that's how I feel at the end of a treatment lol.

The team has rebuilt my trust that my experience of dental care matters, that it can be inclusive, these are special people and I am grateful for their compassionate approach.

I used to hate the dentist. It was never a pleasant experience. InHarmony has changed that experience for me. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. They are knowledgeable and helpful.

Had my first session today and it went really well, very calm and highly skilled staff. Pretty much pain free.

It’s always a pleasure to go to Inharmony Dental. I know, it IS a dentistry, but they are amazing! Fast, efficient, calm and calming! I usually have anxiety but I feel comfortable coming here and being taken care of by all!

I've been going to this dental centre for a few years now. The staff are all wonderful. They are calm and always considerate. Great place. I recommend.

Over the last two years I have had extensive dental and denture work performed by Dr. Alex Darrach-Cottick and his team. After years of fear, anxiety and pain in undergoing dental work, Dr. Alex is hands-down the finest dentist I have ever known. He is a master craftsman in his profession.
Of all the extensive work that I have had done by him, 99.5% of it is absolutely pain-free. Including needles, due to a remarkable little vibrator device that he has which almost completely masks the trauma and pain of the needles. I was told by one of his nurses that not many other dentists have this device.
InHarmony Dental Care specializes in patients with dental anxiety. And Dr. Alex himself, is such a calm, funny and wonderful guy to be treated by, that I thank my lucky stars that I ran into this group several years ago! And this extends out to his team that he has trained so well, who are frankly the best professionals I’ve ever seen at work.

I have been a patient of InHarmony Dental Care for several years now, and I am always impressed with the level of service, kindness and comfort provided. Dr. Alex and staff are skilled and professional as well as friendly and kind, and I recommend InHarmony wholeheartedly. Going to the dentist can be a positive experience!

My 7 year old is often very nervous and unwilling to cooperate in dental and medical offices. Today was our first time visiting In Harmony and all of the staff here and the beautiful pup that greeted us were amazing during her appointment. She started off quite nervous and reluctant to sit in the chair, but by the end of the appointment she was happily sitting there on her own, cooperating with everything and chatting with the hygienist. I am shocked at how well it went today compared to other recent healthcare appointments. I greatly appreciated the thorough pre appointment medical form so the staff would understand in advance the best ways to help ease any anxieties. Thank you so much!

They're all very nice, and I feel bad giving this review, but everything the dentist did to my and my partners teeth needed redone and caused more problems. We went to two new dentists to fix it, and both of them said the work done was very shoddy and one even suggested I try to get my money back! My partner got a filing that needed redone within a year and a tooth extraction that her new dentist said was almost certainly unnecessary. I had a filling that needed redone when I got braces since the work was so sloppy and I had a root canal that also was done poorly according to my new dentist.

Nice people, but unfortunately not a competent dentist.sorry to say.

It pains me to write this review, it really does. I thought InHarmony would be the one. The receptionists were professional, kind and welcoming, the location was perfect for me, and my dental hygienist was amazing. However, something went wrong somewhere, and they just could not acknowledge it.

The next time you're visiting the dentist, here's a tip for you: Do your research.

According to the BCDA 2021 Fee Guide, one unit of time lasts 15 minutes. Therefore, when a dental clinic charges me for three (3) units of time, I expect them to clean my teeth for 45 minutes (or give or take a couple minutes because, as they told me via e-mail, they like to "round up" to the nearest number). I'm not going to lie: That's pretty weird. When you charge me $48 for one unit of time (or $3.2 per minute), I really don't understand why you are allowed to "round up" at all.

Still, I can live with rounding up a few minutes, even though I don't like it. What I can't live with is you charging me for ONE ENTIRE unit of time ($48) of scaling when I only received two units of time.

I arrived at the clinic at 11: 00 and finished at 11: 37 (I checked my phone). 11: 37 was when I stood up from the chair and made my way towards the front desk to pay. It's safe to assume that the last 7 minutes were spent applying fluoride and polishing my teeth ($19.70 and $40.90 respectively). No matter how I see it, there is no logical explanation as to why I was charged for three units of time (45 minutes of scaling).

When I contacted the office to inquire about it, they were very professional but ultimately unhelpful. They did not really acknowledge what I said. Instead they told me something about 13 minutes out of 15, which makes no sense at all because as I said, I finished at 11: 37, and the last 7 minutes or so were spent applying fluoride and polishing my teeth. They refunded me $24, which was welcomed but did not feel genuine at all.

I'm not sure what happened. I don't know if it's because my treatment plan included three units of time and nobody changed it, or if this clinic just likes to cut corners and assume that most people don't do their research and take the time to analyze their receipts and do a bit of studying online.

All I can say is that I am incredibly disappointed and so frustrated at the thought of having to pay for another new patient exam somewhere else. I chose this clinic because I was promised transparency throughout the entire process. I'd like to assume it was human error as opposed to them ripping me off, but it still feels bad, especially when you are already struggling with dentists and trust issues, and the money comes out of your own pockets because you don't have insurance.

All in all very good service, but if you decide to become one of their patients DO YOUR RESEARCH, READ YOUR RECEIPTS AND ASK THEM TO RECORD EACH UNIT OF TIME PROPERLY!

Excellent front desk staff. Cheerful and helpful. Dentist and assistant were awesome with helping me stay relaxed and reduced my anxiety. Highly recommended.

At first everyone was very nice. Dr alex, jessica and ashley. But someone messed up on my appointment timing. It was suppose to be at 12: 30 pm and i was prepared to go, but got a call at 11: 38am saying that it was at 11: 30 am and that i called to change it on may 18th. That is not possible. I had my driving license test that day. There is no way i called to changed my appointment to an earlier timing as i always prefer a later timing. (i work until late night and don't wake up early) I called them to explain that its not on my end. And they never agreed to it and kept on repeating it was me. That is very frustrating and unprofessional. Just agree that you messed up on my time and apologize atleast. Kept on putting this on me. Just to be extra sure i checked my phone history (i never delete it), i checked it on my icloud and also my mobile service provider, no call was given to inharmony on 18 may. Not even that, i strictly follow my iPhone calendar. Even in that, the timing is 12: 30 pm. Also, They gave me an appointment confirmation card that says 12: 30 pm as well.

Well if you guys make notes, please make it right, and if you mess up atleast don’t be rude or put the blame on other person. Accept and try figuring something out. Also please check your call history and you’ll realize i never called you on 18th may.

Now they can’t take me for atleast a week. I have to wear the old aligner for another week for their mistake. (when it is only suppose to be worn for 1 week). The only times available they told me was on after 5 days or 7 days. That’s ridiculous. I told i cannot because my schedule is very tight, i also suggested that i will pick up my new aligners today and get checked up after 5 days because I don’t want to delay or keep wearing old ones for another week.

The staff is usually very kind and nice. But this time, I understand something might have went wrong but it would have been nice if you would have accepted it rather than blaming it on me and even after explaining that it’s not me, still keep on repeating i need to take care of that in future.

I hope the dr Alex or the in-charge reads that as it was very disappointing and inconvenient, i have to move around all my schedule now.
Sorry for this big rant, but i had to do this as it ruined my entire day.

So glad I found this place! Ashley, the receptionist, is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable! Jess is my favourite, she’s a dental assistant. She helped me get through the anxiety of several cavities. And I don’t remember the dental hygienists name but she’s great. Great place for people anxious about going to the dentist!

The dentist has never been my favourite place to go like many other people I dreaded going to the dentist. I have changed my opinion since going to InHarmony Dental Care that is due to everyone that works there. From the receptionist, hygienist, dentist and all other staff. All of their concern and care for me puts me at ease. I highly recommend them!

I HATE the dentist, but I love myyyyyyyy dentist and all the beautiful people that work there. My gurl Reza always takes the best care of me, and makes me feel like royalty. Dr. Alex, is easily the greatest, and most gentle dentist in the world today, and the girls working the front are friendly and delightful! And I have missed Kate the last couple times I was there.

Everyone hates the dentist, but these folks are great, dr. Alex has the best bedside manner money can buy and is a very skilled dentist to boot. Ashley and Courteney are great at helping you get appointments as soon as possible. Rheza is the best dental assistant I've ever had, and all the rest of the staff I haven't met seem to be very nice as well. I don't think they hire people who are not compassionate.

Very knowledgeable team from Doctor to the assistants. They brief you on what to expect and fill you in on all alternatives of treatment before selecting best ways to make you keep smiling. Best dental practice I've ever visited and I've been to many.

I've been going to this same clinic for maybe 5-ish years? I've had thousands of dollars worth of work done on my teeth through them and they have been great. Everyone there is extremely kind and Dr. Alex is an amazing dentist (and person from what I can tell). I had a big fear of needles but they use a tool that vibrates and it helps the needle not hurt nearly as much. They have significantly helped my fear of needles which has been very helpful as I've needed many blood tests over the past years.

I recommend them to everyone but it does seem to be getting popular so expect to wait a couple months potentially (best to call and check though).

Their office is super clean, they actually removed the cushions from the chairs in the front waiting room for covid. They will tell you anything you want to know about what they are doing and how they do it. They will show you all of your scans and photos. They have various approaches to helping people who are afraid of dentistry. I fear ever moving away from Victoria cause I doubt I'll find a group as good as these people.

This clinic is amazingly kind. I am a very nervous patient. I avoided dentists for over 20 years. I would recommend these people to anyone. They are sweet kind and understanding.

ETA: I have now been seeing them for a month (I need MAJOR work done, and am Neurodivergent) and these folks are TOP NOTCH. They explain evertything, ensured I was informed of DentalCard (which is so easy to set up) and are so encouraging every single visit. They cheer me on, they hold my hand when I need it, and are the most comforting and genuine folks. If you're scared of the dentist, THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED TO GO!

From booking, to answering follow up questions, greeting process, the whole appointment and payment - each person I interacted with at your clinic was so very friendly and professional. I felt cared for and informed. Thank you for your kind attention to detail! Yes, I left with a smile:)

For anyone who appreciates being cared for by empathetic and professional staff, RUN here! This office has been amazing each and every time I've been there. My daughter always has a comfortable and enjoyable time as well.

Amazing care, wonderful people! EDIT: I had to add to this after my appointment this morning! If I could give 5+ more stars I would. I went in more than a little nervous to have fillings done for the first time, and it was a cake walk. Dr. Alex is gentle and calm and his staff (I ADORE Rheza) are wonderful. I love this place.

InHarmony dental honestly changed the way I feel about the dentist.
I used to have extreme dental anxiety and this office has helped me immensely. Every time I go in they are kind, caring, respectful and understanding.

I avoided the dentist going to the dentist for 14 years. Inharmony did everything to make sure it was a comfortable expérience coming back. I wont consider another dentist.

Even knowing that I needed work, It took me months to build up the courage to make an appointment and so first I met with Kate and the dogs, Gryphon and Rigby. Wow. InHarmony Dental has made a world of difference in my dental experience. I came to this practice with a history of childhood dental abuse/assault and was extremely needle phobic. Working with Kate and the dogs and experiencing very gentle, kind, caring, respectful treatment from Dr Alex and his staff has changed my extreme panic to mild anxiety and curiosity. I would have not believe it possible if I hadn't experienced it. I'm glad I finally got up the courage to try Dr Alex and Kate's methods and change my dental experience going forward.

Hands down the most enjoyable dentist experience I've had to date! All staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was given detailed information about what was going on with my teeth and felt included in every step of the process. Appreciated the clear break down of treatments yet to come and the chance to pre book my appointments. Having the option to watch Netflix or listen to music while I had my teeth cleaned was a huge bonus! Great distraction! Thank you for the excellent care! I will be back

I went in yesterday for my first consultation. I just want to say thanks to the entire InHarmony team. Everyone made me feel comfortable.

I had been experiencing painful jaw issues for about a year, from a previous procedure (from a different dental office) and was told by friends to see Dr. Alex Darrach-Cottick, as he came HIGHLY recommended.

Dr. Alex Darrach-Cottick and his team explained everything to me during the consultation and he adjusted my bite. So far it has done wonders.
I immediately noticed less tension in my jaw, and last night was the best night sleep I have had in months. I am literally floored.

My jaw did not hurt this morning, like it usually does, and the clicking has already started to subside.

THANK YOU to everyone at InHarmony (front desk staff, hygienists, dentists- everyone). I cannot stress that enough.

I felt at ease when I left and am so happy that I was recommended to go to InHarmony for treatment.

Recommended unnecessary work. I tried going here after I moved and didn't want to drive so far to keep going to my old dentist. My whole life I have gone to dentists every 6 months (and haven't needed a filling in years) but when I came here they said I needed 6 fillings, a crown, a nightguard, and some cosmetic work (that I didn't even want).
They based this off of the results of a laser cavity detector which has been shown in studies to result in "false positives" and isn't recommended to be used alone to diagnose cavities.
I found them to be misleading and patronizing.
Brought all the recommendations back to my old dentist who said it was all unnecessary.that they were basically just trying to bill a ton to my insurance to replace all my existing fillings. Watch out.

Dr. Alex and his team are fantastic! I've only had good experiences. Great facility, easy parking, free WiFi. HIGHLY recommended!

At first our experiences here were very positive. Kind staff and an attention to detail. Unfortunately we received an unexpected bill without explanation that said our insurance limit had been exceeded (which with other dentists this has never happened) and needed to pay the difference. We tried to discuss this with the staff here and we were unable to come to a fair conclusion. I think this is a great dentist if you don't worry about the financial end of things but.for us we decided to find a new dentist because of hidden expenses.
