The worst vet ever, they call themselves emergency when they are just there to take your money. The doctor couldn't care less he had that stupid smile on his face while telling me the worst scenarios just to scare me so that i come back.and His English is so unclear, and their serves were so suspicious. They took my cat to the back to do the tests and saying it's because they have so many Clints. Crab, i have been there for an hour didn't see a single soul. Don't recommend i hate them so much.

My dog suddenly collapsed and was unresponsive. We rushed him to the Intercity clinic at 3 am, and the staff immediately took him in. They were incredibly efficient and compassionate, explaining everything clearly and keeping us updated throughout the night. Thankfully, with their quick and skilled treatment, my dog pulled through. We are eternally grateful to the amazing team at Intercity Emergency Clinic for saving his life. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone facing a pet emergency.

I am immensely grateful for the outstanding care provided by Intercity Animal Emergency Clinic when my pet faced a life-threatening incident due to relapse. The team's quick response and expert handling of the situation were truly remarkable. Called this place to ask about a concern I had with my cat accidentally eating something that was potentially toxic. I wanted to see if it was absolutely necessary to bring my cat in for this because she's a senior and doesn't do well with transport so I didn't want to put her through unnecessary stress. The receptionist was unhelpful, extremely rude, and had no compassion whatsoever! She was so bad at de-escalating the situation and makes you feel 10x worse and more worried about your pet. When I asked to speak with their manager, they refused! Acted like she needed to protect the manager from dealing with this, which I don't get because isn't it their job? ! She kept dismissing my concerns and resorting to generic answers like how they're an emergency clinic so they're super busy and can't chat with me on the phone (even though on their website it literally says "Conveniently message, call or visit Intercity Animal Emergency Clinic. Whether you have a question, concern or simply want to get to know us better, we are happy to hear from you. ") and I should just bring my cat in if I was worried (probably because they just care about the money!). That isn't an excuse for poor customer service and lack of empathy! I called Burrard Animal Hospital after and the experience was the complete opposite. The receptionist was understanding, patient, and was able to calm me down and make me feel less worried (she still recommended I get my cat checked to be safe, but did so in a much less pushy way, which I appreciated). They're an emergency clinic too and I imagine just as busy but they're still able to provide decent (and caring) customer service! The negative reviews for this place seem to align with my experience, which was just a phone call! So I can imagine what a risk an actual appointment would be. I'm glad I didn't bring my cat here and won't ever plan to. My cat is also doing fine.

Great Care and not a very long wait time. Buzzy needed some stiches but not an 6 hour wait at the Emergency. Intercity emergency Vet Clinic was the perfect spot. We got Buzzy some stiches and a few prescriptions and we were out in a very reasonable amount of time. Thanks for the great care and the follow up calls to check on Buzzy

My cat was sick and had to schedule for surgery, they arranged it right away with very reasonable cost. They also even waived some charge for additional exams. Took very good care of my cat, now shes all normal and recovered very well. All the doctors and staffs are super friendly.

I am only writing this negative review for the sake of other pet owners.

My 3 month old puppy had bloody diarrhea multiple times in one day so I brought him in at midnight for emergency examination. After an examination by Dr. Ravindra, he (understandably) told me there was nothing they could do until they do a series of blood tests, x-rays and parvo test, which would require an overnight stay so they can give constant fluids. The bill came down to $2000+, around $1000 for the overnight stay and nurse care itself. I decided to only go through with the parvovirus test, and some injections (fluids, ampicillin, vitamin B) and some medication, which amounted to about $500.

A few days later, with no persisting symptoms, I went to my usual vet (All About Pets in Langley), and showed the receipt to Dr. Lau. He told me that 4/5 of the medications prescribed to me were unnecessary and are used to treat vomiting, which wasn’t the symptom I took him in for.

I’m not an expert but I’d recommend carefully reviewing every item this clinic charges you for, making sure it’s absolutely necessary. I’d pay any amount to ensure the health of my dog but a lot of vets exploit this.

The respect and admiration I have for the multiple staff and vets I have dealt with over the past few days is beyond words. I have read the other reviews and see a pattern, but thankfully I had not read them before going, because I had a completely different experience. I did not feel pressured at all to make any decisions, but was met with an abundance of compassion by everyone I dealt with. I have come twice over the past 2 days due to complications from a surgery I had with my regular vet, who they have been working in tandem with to help give him the best care possible. I did have to do diagnostics and x-rays but that made sense given that externally he looked fine, and there was no way to know what was happening without looking inside post surgery. Prices were high sure, but compared to my regular vet bills this week, not crazy. I think animal care in general is just going to be expensive, especially emergency vets, and comparing bills to my regular vet nothing seemed astronomical or ridiculous. Also the price of medicine doesn’t seem jacked up from what I have paid elsewhere either. Everything felt reasonable, the total just hurt lol. The amount of empathy and care I have received from these amazing people mean the world to me, I have been a mess this week worried about my fluffy son. And the money is worth it if it means I get him the care he needs to recover. Thank you again, and I hope to not have to return, but if there is an emergency, this is the first place I’d go.

If you need to come here, then it is probably for a pretty serious situation.
This place is one of the few in-patient, 24hr animal clinics. They know it and will charge accordingly.

In terms of service and treatment, unlike some other reviews, we had no major issues with.

We came in with our dog that wasn’t doing so well, they did blood work, xray, ultrasound and supported her the whole day that she was there. Gave us a diagnostic, some meds and told us how to follow up with our regular vet.

Minus a star only because they were pricey and missed sending a few results to our vet that we had to chase a few times.

we didnt have the money because some complications. We ask if they could hold on our pet for 1 more day. They basicslly brushed us off and said that if we made him stay, they would charge extra.

So we asked if we could pay later on if we picked up the animal, no. All options rested on getting money either at that very moment or

THEY WILL GIVE UP OUR ANIMAL TO THE SPCA.

At this point they were keeping our pet hostage at their clinic. They told us if we do not pay by tonight then they will contact spca and he will not longer be ours and animal services will be involved.

The fact they THREATENED is appalling.

DONT EVER GO HERE. This is how they treat the animals AND the customers. You should never be treated like this for saving your animals life and getting help. OVERLY EXPENSIVE and GREEDY. THEY DO NOT CARE FOR YOUR ANIMALS.

Im afraid of what my pet will be like when he returns home. I feel sick to my stomach thinking what they were like to him if they reacted like this. Hes my baby and the fact they did unnecessary tests poking and prodding him for 3 DAYS! And almost gave him away like that. It makes me absolutely heartbroken. I already had a fear worrying if he thought we were abandoning him and now they were threatening to hand him over to animal services? Absolutely disgusting

I came here one night as every other vet was booked or closed the day, honesty the experience has left me very skeptical of veterinary clinics. When we got there they took my sick cat to the back to do their “test”. After about 20 minutes of waiting in a cramped room that was, for some reason monitored, yes monitored. They brought my cat out and told me they couldn’t inspect him because he was scratching and biting. Strange thing is. My cat doesn’t scratch or bite strangers. I honestly don’t think they even removed him from carry on. Intercity then insisted I leave him at the clinic overnight because they didn’t finish their test and to monitor with a quote for $1500.later I found a clinic that did everything I needed, for a third of the price who didn’t set of red flags. Buyers beware, seems to me Intercity is out for one thing and that thing is not your pets best interest. It your wallet.

Went to this location because was the only one open on Sunday, I just wanted to give something to my dog because she was scratching a lot, and I told the doctor I will take her to her regular clinic the next day on Monday. TROUT LAKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL After a 800 dlls estimate I told him I would like to take home only Viaderm Cream and 500mg Cephalexin, but the doctor was very sketchy. I asked if I could see the medicine first and he did not want. Even though I was planning to go to my regular doctor the next day at the end the doctor did not let me buy less medicine. So I had to paid for 42 tablets. I opened and counted the pills in front of the receptionist and they where only 37 Tablets. She was sorry said was a mistake and add 5 extra pills missing PLEASE! PLEASE! READ THE BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THIS CLINIC "ALL ARE TRUE" DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. THE DOCTOR WAS EVEN SCARE OF MY 2 YEAR OLD GOLDEN RETRIEVER, HE DID NOT EVEN TOUCH HER. AMAZING HOW COME THIS INDIAN DOCTORS CAN WORK LEGALLY IN CANADA. CANADIAN GOVERMENT SHOULD HAVE MORE REGULATIONS ABOUT THESE PEOPLE DOING BUSINESS IN CANADA. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! PAID 180 DLLS AND WILL NEVER EVER WILL COME BACK TO THIS CLINIC

If you care about your pet’s life, don’t go to this place. This place is overpriced and the doctor is VERY inexperienced, all they care about is making more money instead of treating my pet.

I share my experience with you my dog was not well and I went to intercity animal emergency hospital it provided very good treatment

They never informed us when we walked in the room that they're taping everything until we saw this. Only came here due to usual vet was closed and my cat passed away at night. Was gonna get the paw print from them but they increased the price by $50 compare to the memorial service center on top of the admin fee. Took 3 different people came in and out to tell us the price of paw print is out of their control as manager was not in. Anyway, 2 stars for some of the nice staff but that's it. If I ever have a pet again, I don't think I will come here.

I have an amazing dog which is pomerian and my dog was very lazy before treatment but after a fascinating treatment by this company my dog is now very frendly and she also started shaking hand with me and she listen my words and stated following it!

I had to take my dog to intercity animal emergency under an urgent situation. The doctors there were very understanding and compassionate of my pets needs. The support staff was extremely helpful and caring too. Special thanks to Dr. Ranjan, Dr. Yadav and Dr. Garg. Highly recommend this ER to everyone who love their fur babies.

My cat was lethargic and not eating and I couldn't get in to see her usual vet, and Canwest was slammed, so we took her here. The place was empty. A tech who seemed very bored and indifferent asked us a bunch of questions and entered our answers into a computer. The vet came in and took our cat in the back for an exam. Signs on the wall said we were being video and audio taped, which seemed extremely odd. Vet returned and told us she had no physical symptoms and he'd need to do $2,000 worth of tests and possible medications, although it didn't make sense that he would know the medications before diagnostic testing? I asked if he could just give her fluids and an appetite stimulant, which he did. Next day I took her to her usual vet and after a physical exam and blood test she was diagnosed with pancreatitis, for $350. I'd never set foot in Intercity ever again.

I had a pet dog and I went to this clinic and my dog had received a good treatment and staff was very cooperative and I had received an excellent service

Outstanding care. I visited in very early morning hours with a sick dog. The doctor and vet tech were exceptionally empathetic and caring. My stressed dog responded very well to their patient approach and her stressed owner so appreciated the high level of care provided. We both left feeling much better and I'm so grateful to have had this resource available.

I have in the past bought syringes at this particular animal hospital. Now I've been told "they are in back order. " So what does that mean? ! Does that mean I can call back another time or not at all? This hospital REFUSES to acknowledge that I have bought syringes at this animal hospital. Now I admit I called a lot but only because I assumed they might have received those syringes for my cat who is diabetic. I WOULD NOT suggest this animal hospital. I imagine there are better hospitals just NOT Intercity Hospital. I WILL refuse to spend my money at this animal hospital and including getting my syringes that I need to take care of my cat. The people who work here are NOT professional and they just lost another customer!

This is a review of gratitude and thanks to all the staff and doctors who assisted with saving our beloved Milo just past midnight of January 31st, 2022.

To the nurse, Tara, who hurriedly grabbed Milo from my arms as soon as we arrived to quickly put him into the oxygen chamber because she checked his gums and tongue first thing and they were purple! Many, many thanks for your sense of urgency.

The nurse Reagan, who quickly sat us down and gathered all Milo's information to assess the situation. She sat us down, kept combing back to check on us (to ensure that I was not hyperventilating) and giving us updates, and reassured us that Milo was in good hands.

To Dr. Ranjan and Dr. Chahal who treated Milo and thoroughly explained to us about what was going to be done, and all tests and consents before getting started.

And to all the hospital staff attending to Milo - THANK YOU! It's so good to know that there are still such caring people. We are very grateful they were there for us and Milo. Thank you! Blessings to you all.

P. S. A special thanks again to Tara for calling about Milo the following day just to check up on him and to make sure he was eating and doing well with his medications after being discharged.

We have been to this clinic twice (once for each dog) for emergencies when we couldn't get a last minute appointment with our usual vet. Loved how we were able to get a spot same day and I found the doctors there very knowledgeable and will explain thoroughly the options and issues. Found it to be a nice/different experience that usual vet visits in that I had more choices in the care options, there was no pressure to do every single test (of course they would provide recommendations). Doctor was available to speak to me via afterwards to answer my questions and front end staff were great (when they didn't know something, instead of giving me generic vague answer, they would offer to find out and get let me know later).
