My experience with Invictus Charters and Captain Gerry left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this charter for a fishing trip.
Captain Gerry has a talkative nature, but it became evident that his words didn't match his actions. We were unable to catch any fish while other boats in the vicinity were reeling them in effortlessly. It was disappointing to see that promises made by Captain Gerry did not translate into successful fishing.
It's one thing to speak nicely and try to convince customers, but it's another to deliver on those promises. In this case, it felt like all we received were empty words and unfulfilled expectations.
I hope others have a more positive experience with Invictus Charters, but based on my encounter, I would advise exploring other options for your fishing adventure.

Went to Nanaimo to look at a truck. Ended up staying for an extra day. Called around and Gerry had a cancelation and got us on the boat that afternoon and we had a great afternoon/evening fishing and sharing stories.

Went out with Gerry and had a great time. We had 20 on line but only managed to land 5. We got to see a whale breach a ways off. The boat was very comfortable, Gerry was extremely helpful and did everything he could to make sure we caught as much as we could.
He was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to answer questions about some of the islands and things we saw.
Super friendly and great time.

Gerry did a great tour with us and we caught loads of salmon. We only kept the daily limit, we released the other catches again. We also caught shrimp in a catch basket. It was terrific and Gerry is a perfect and very experienced captain who explains a lot and gives you the help you need. We had a lot of fun with him. We can definitely recommend him.
