Food was decent, service was poor. The moment we sat down at 5: 40pm, the waitress told us to hurry and place an order because they had many reservations at 6: 30pm. We paid the bill at 6: 40pm while my son was eating his last few bites and they immediately took the teapot and wanted to take his plate as well. Only when I told them that he was still eating, they left the plate where it was.

I don't care what reservations you have afterwards but please treat your current customers properly as we are still paying for meals. We still tipped them 10% but really, do they deserve any tips?

Too delicious! I cried after eating it. Singapore crab, Hainanese chicken rice and shrimp paste water spinach are all so delicious! Amazing food and atmosphere!

Came here for lunch to catch up with a friend. Was greeted when we entered by a lady and seated quickly. However we had some questions about the menu and their staff was so condescending that it made us feel like we asked a very stupid question. Service definitely needs to improve. Food overall was good but not excellent and price is very average. We likely won’t be coming a second time.

Food is over priced and very small portions. We’re sitting there chatting and lady comes over telling us to not raise our hand up when we never did. Even if we did, it’s not something you say to patrons…especially when the whole place is small. I don’t recommend.

A really good local experience. My old classmates from Hong Kong who live in Vancouver brought me to ipoh. It's much better than Mui Garden me and my family went over the past 30 years. Dishes are great.

The food are delicious, many dishes to choose from. One staff server was a bit rude, she asked us to move to save tables for a party of 16, not nicely though but insisting. Then later she sit a party of 2, where we were sitting.

First time trying Malaysian and it was a very good experience. We had the trio curry dish that had lamb, beef and chicken. The meat was tender with great curry flavor. We had the hainanese chicken as well. It was a little bland but the chicken was done well. The ambiance is unique and Asian inspired. Service was friendly and food came really fast. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this little place.

Restaurant setting is a small Malaysian atmosphere. Roti Canai is freshly baked blends well with the curry dipping sauce and wonderfully paired with the Chicken Satay dipped in spicy peanut sauce. Char Kueh Chow with flat noodles is flavourful. For dessert, we had the Mango Sticky Rice with fresh coconut milk, a bit bland needing sugar. Total bill is $50 inclusive of tax and tips. Overall, food taste and price is average. Service needs to improve, the staff was rude and rushy to get our order. Not good first impression for a diner. Credit card is accepted.

Had a group lunch and we ordered some good dishes. Everything was tasty and fresh. Bon Appetite

Best Malaysian food I’ve had in the city. Not too spicy but just right so you actually get to enjoy the flavours. Small but busy place so reservations for dinner would be a good idea.

After reading all the wonderful reviews, I was so disappointed in the level of service and the quality of some food at this restaurant. We made reservations since we had to head to the airport later in the evening, but they didn’t seem to care and made us wait way past our reservation time. On another note, a rice noodle dish we ordered was burnt and they wouldn’t take it back. The waitress was also very rude and had no understanding of customer service. While some dishes were good, I do not recommend going to this place. Perhaps they were having a busy day, but if they couldn’t manage the reservations and walk-ins, they should have just told us and we’d go elsewhere. Avoid this place! There are many other places that know how to serve and respect their customers.

My new go-to spot. Cheap, delicious, and GOOD PORTIONS? ! Where can you get that now? Nowhere!
Warning: The entire restaurant smells like shrimp paste and it's so good. I got sooo hungry just by smelling.

Quaint little spot with delicious, authentic, Malaysian food. We had the roti, three types of rendang, and fried eggplant. Service is quick, and the restaurant is charmingly decorated. Would recommend for small groups of 6 or less.

The food was good. The fish was fried well, and the seasoning for their other dishes was just right. Service was very attentive and pleasant. The parking area is a little small, but we had no issues on a weekday.

Had the Mongoloian fried pork chop…. Didn’t expect pieces of it. Wasn’t worth 23$.

Coconut rice is good portion and taste, seafood laksa was tasty.

Service and food were very average. Dishes are somewhat overpriced. Also we found some stains and dirt on our bowl and chopsticks just before we started eating. Let the server know and she just replaced them without saying anything.

Nice place n feel welcoming. Staffs are friendly n pleasant. Dishes are good n tasty but the satay grilled meat is a bit dry. Hainanese chicken isn’t that great, maybe I like the Singaporean style better. It’s still one of the most authentic Malaysian restaurant around town.

If you've never had Singaporean/Malaysian food before I guess this is passable. I grew up in Sg and spent many summers in KL and this was very mediocre. The highlight was the kway teow and Assam laksa. The normal laksa lacks flavor and the wrong noodles were used. The nasi lemak rice wasn't coconut enough. The curries were OK.

I don't understand why Vancouver has so much good dim sum/taiwanese/chinese/Indian/thai/vietnamese food but no one has seemed to be able to perfect singaporean/Malaysian staples.

What was really upsetting, however was the fact that we ordered 2 orders of satay (8 skewers total) and they literally gave us the smallest bowl of sauce. I attached a picture of the sauce because it was just so laughably little. When we asked for another bowl, the waitress told us curtly that it was another 1$. We were so shocked we just laughed and was like "really"? It was 2 tbsp of sauce in the bowl. Like I understand food costs have risen but this is ridiculous.

Half the point of eating satay is the peanut sauce. We just said we will pay because you need the sauce to eat the satay. The sauces and satay themselves were also cold. Like it seems like they just took the sauce out of the fridge cold? We were also shocked that they were so stingy with the sauce especially because we also ordered like $200+ worth of food. Like c'mon man. They ended up comping the extra sauce for us but I don't think I would order the satay from them or even come here again.

The ambiance/ decor was nice but that interaction was really a turn off.
