Excellent and caring staff, felt they were all very concerned for my dental health and about my comfort during procedures. Great follow up care and flexible about scheduling appointments.
I broke a dental appliance while out of the country…. Called IQ dental …. They quickly arranged a replacement and couriered it to me. WOW and all at no cost! A caring place for sure.

I have been a frequent visitor at IQ Dental for the past few months. I received great care and service for cleaning my teeth with Essi, dental fillings and crown by Dr. Peyman and dental cosmetic consultation with Dr. Bahar. I appreciated that how it was easy and convenient to take and arrange all those appointments and to go through the sessions. This wouldn’t be possible without the helpful, caring, professional, and friendly staffs, doctors and hygienists who were involved. I enjoyed their clean and professionally managed space as well.
I certainly recommend their service.

Recently had a root canal done by Doctor Safari and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The procedure was painless and the dentist was very skilled and professional throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The office was clean and modern, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone in need of dental work. Thank you for a great experience!

Dr. Peyman Safari-Pour is the best dentist I ever had in my life. He is extremely knowledgeable, very professional and freindly at the same time. He always patiently discusses different options and explains upcoming procedures. He's staff are also very accommodating.

Everyone is very friendly and very professional. The office is beautiful and with its latest equipment I felt like stepping into the next century. The TV on the ceiling made me very relaxed during the procedure. It was the most pleasant Dentist appointment I can remember.

I cannot thank the whole team at IQ dental enough! From Terry McKay who intervened & helped me when I was in severe pain, when my original dentist (in Kitsilano) who did a preventative crown that went very wrong. To Dr. Safari & Ellie who did my root canal to the ladies at reception.
My entire experience and was amazing and very astonishing Dr. Safari is an expert, I had a pain free root canal, painless needles, I had more clenching from holding my hands together anticipating pain than the root canal & needles itself.

Probably the best dentist experience I have had. I have no insurance and they made sure to do as much work as needed done to deal with the issue without trying to spring on a bunch of extra costs and were very flexible with payments. Great staff and excellent dentists.

Dr. Peyman Safari-Pour, Heidi and and the team did a great job completing a recent root canal. Although no one wants to go through this procedure, they made it painless and comfortable. They even managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule knowing I was in some discomfort. Dr. S has incorporated the latest surgical equipment that is amazing. This is a very professional team right through to their front line staff who knows how to manage the billing and scheduling with ease. Go there, you won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Saffari has performed fantastic job. I have done a few fillings and a crown and had great results, thanks to his clinical and artistic skills.

He discussed options with me and helped me to make the best decisions. He is one of a kind.

Dr. McKay and his team are professional, experienced, and welcoming. I recently had my old filling replaced by Dr. McKay. Being extreme afraid of needles, I told him about my concern at the start. He needed to freeze my teeth and had to make about 6 injections around my gum. He told me exactly what he was gonna do and how I was going to feel. He did it so slowly that I had zero pain. When he told me I would feel a “pinch” on 2 spots and that was exactly what I felt. I am very impressed with the entire experience.

His team is also very efficient. My insurance claim is always handled by them before I am finished with the appointment.

I have not seen a dentist in years due to stubbornness and terrible experiences in the past but my partner HIGHLY recommended IQ Dental (Terry McKay to be exact). Now. I hate to admit my boyfriend was right but my goodness I was blown away by their quality of service and care! Not only are they safe and sanitary (in the year of 2020 that is a big thing) they are just overall a wonderful group of people. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the staff including Roxanne the receptionist who makes you feel like your in your own living room with her warm personality, Heidi the hygienist/dentist who was absolutely lovely, patient and kindhearted (thanks for the lip balm for my chapped lips, wow so sweet) and the famous Terry McKay I've heard so many good things about and can 100% agree they are all true. Not only did he figure out the problem within minutes but what would be safe for me as I'm currently pregnant. I am so grateful for this dentist practice and the wonderful people in it. As someone who "hated dentists", I've certainly changed my tune and will only be coming here. Thank you again to all the staff! Highly recommend to anyone who is stubborn like me or even just curious in finding a new place for a simple cleaning. I can confidently say between the service and the personalities you will not find a better place on the North Shore.

I visited McKay because of a broken tooth I had. After examining, he somehow decided to start working on my teeth from the ones which had the least urgency. Well, what about fixing the broken one before it causes infection in the mouth? ! He was supposed to be open to communication, and identifying and hearing out what the patient needs first. The staff was also unbelievable since they canceled my early morning appointment by ASSUMING that I wouldn't go. There are so many clinics out there who pay attention to the patients' needs and respect the patients' schedules by not canceling the appointments just because they assume you won't go. I definitely don't recommend this ridiculous clinic.

Dr. McKay is an experienced, talented, ethical, knowledgeable, friendly and communicative dentist, whom I can enthusiastically recommend without hesitation. The office staff are very accommodating when booking appointments, and effectively manage to limit the waiting time.

I first visited Dr. McKay based on the glowing endorsement of a highly respected oral surgeon, who has been Dr. McKay’s patient for many years. I wanted to see a trustworthy and skilled dentist who could provide a second opinion on my (now previous) dentist's advice to get crowns on my upper teeth to repair the damage done through excessive wear and fix a faulty bite. This is a prohibitively expensive and aggressive procedure, which involves the filing, reduction and reshaping of existing teeth in order to make room for the porcelain caps.

Thank goodness I received a second opinion! Not only did Dr. McKay clearly explain why I didn’t need crowns, but he recommended a far cheaper and more conservative treatment—bonding—which would repair, strengthen, protect and improve the appearance of my teeth without reducing their size or integrity.

Last week, Dr. McKay, with the help of his excellent assistant, spent over two hours painstakingly performing the bonding procedure on my upper and lower teeth. Before starting, he clearly summarized what was going to happen, and then just before each step in the process, either he or his assistant would explain precisely what would happen next. I appreciated the high level of communication throughout the procedure, which Dr. McKay performed to perfection.

Not only did Dr. McKay do a superb job with my teeth, but he saved me well over $10,000! It takes me 60-90 minutes to drive to his office in North Vancouver, but I would never consider going anywhere else for my dental work.

Terry is someone that goes above and beyond. He is a teacher, extremely knowledgeable, offers a clean environment, and he is a gifted dentist.
He has an unbelievable personality that is calming and makes me feel I'm in professional hands.
