The first person I contacted for a quote was great and super friendly, i was completely set on using them for their service for the purchase of my new home. I later called back to schedule my date and the lady who answered the phone was very disrespectful and cut me off 3 times in less than 60 seconds of our call. I had to confront her because I could not finish asking a single question without being cutoff, and in return, she just hangs up on me. Hopefully this person is just having a bad day - but I had to take my business elsewhere after receiving that experience.

Handled our conveyance of a property sale well. One thing you will notice is they dont take direct phone calls.i am trying to hire a executor of my estate.it would be nice if one can realistically assess what fair fees are.you dont want family involved.thats rule no 1. Rule two when a lawyer says he wants to charge you a fee for a meeting and you say.hold on at 5% fee could be a million dollars.dont think they need to earn the business. But from their web site.none of these references are for estate management and execution

We have used Irina and her team now to close on 3 properties, and guide us through a complex process of subdividing our property and registering all of the 11 covenants on title for the TOL requirements.
Irina is diligent, competent, details focussed and very good at what she does. She also supports her team and they are the whole package.

I called to make an appointment and they even were able to assist in an earlier appointment then their opening time. Although i ended up going with another company who is open on the weekend, i highly recommend this company.

Making appointment with them is just a waste of time, really had a bad experience with them. On my scheduled appointment I was there 5 minutes early, but after waiting 50 minutes they are asking if I can make appointment for some other day.

I highly recommend Brittany Ratzlaff with Clayton Heights Notary. We used Brittany for the purchase of our townhouse and had an excellent experience. As first time home owners, we had a lot of questions but Brittany and the staff at Clayton Heights Notary made the whole process quite easy!

EXERCISE CAUTION! WHY?
We obtained quotation in "writing" for the registration of buy and sell of our home in Surrey. We found discrepancy of more than $1,300 EXTRA on the day of registration! An increase of more than 30%.

We asked why? Irina Bartnik the Notary says, the quotation was "approximate" and can change anytime! We insisted that 30% increase is too much, a vast difference of asking EXTRA $1,300 is not fair.

We have no choice but to sign the documents in the last minute of registration day! Cannot go for shopping another Notary on that day; files were sent ten days before to her office. We felt very disappointed.

Later we found with other Notaries similar sale and purchase value is at-least $1200 less. As we did three registrations with Irina in the past 12 years we went to her with trust without inviting other quotations.

Now changed her office name as Clayton Heights Notary (was "Irina Bartnik Notary")! Quotation from her in writing means nothing! Her integrity is questionable. Trust is broken.

Irina handled the real estate conveyancing for the purchase of my condo and she was responsive, organized, extremely thorough and offered all in all great service. Irina made the process so easy and seamless and I highly recommend her services.

Our experience there was less than acceptable. First off the portable table outside and the traffic going by made it very difficult to hear. Then being scolded for saying we did not pay our taxes when we did so she confirmed that and no apology but instead said"this day needs to end". The next issue was that property taxes were not included in our mortgage payment which we had requested but she told us just do it yourself as the bank will charge you. Well we spoke with our broker and she said that is completely untrue so my feeling is that she just did not want to change the paperwork and do her job that we paid over $1600 for. I will not be going back for the paperwork on our second home.

Irina's office was extremely helpful and prompt in their responses. Irina walked through the entire process very clearly before signing anything, and they scheduled/sent multiple follow-ups to remind us of required dates/times for various completions.

Irina was friendly and professional. It was a bit comical doing a Covid19 version of our document signing outside the office at a little table under a portable awning with a couple of nearby weed-whackers making communication difficult. We managed to complete everything despite all that and were pleased with the service and assistance provided.

Irina and her team have handled our last 4 moves/mortgages and we have found her wonderful to work with. Very detail oriented, easy to be around and all our interactions have been positive. I would recommend her to anyone especially when you look at the difference in costs between a notary and a lawyer.

Irina was great. She carefully broke down each document we went through and had to sign, and was not shy to educate me when I look a little lost. Would strongly recommend.

Terrible notary. She made us chase the bank for the pay out statement. The bank even remarked "dont you have a notary to do this for you? ". Then she promised to deposit the cheque from our sale and didnt bother. No idea how she has such high reviews. People must have never worked with a good notary before.

My husband and I just bought our first home, and we are very happy that we chose Irina as our Notary. She is clear, professional, and efficient, and she explained everything in detail as we went through all the paperwork. Being a first time homeowner is daunting and a little overwhelming, but after speaking with Irina we left the office satisfied, happy, and with all of our questions answered before we even asked them. Irina’s service for my previous client was exceptional so I wanted to refer further business to her again. But this time around, after sending an email to inquire about her fees, I never received a reply. After calling her reception the next day to inquire and confirm about fees, sent over an email with all the details and requested that they confirm receipt of the email (since I never got a reply from the last email). Had to call the office again and got a “oh we got your email”, which begs the question, why didn’t they acknowledge receipt of the email so I don’t have to keep chasing them on my clients behalf.

Edit: Thank you Irina for your prompt response and attention to the matter. I did not feel that this matter would have warranted a personal phone call and it was not a comment out of a malicious intent. The frustation was that the same issue arose twice within the same 24 period. First my email inquiring about rates was never responded to, and it was brought to the receptionist’s attention during my first phone call. And after being informed by your receptionist to send over the documents promptly to give you ample time to prepare, I did and requested a confirmation which I never received

I literally just talked to the receptionist at this office trying to make an appointment with Ms. Bartnik to go over a form pertaining to my mother's passing, and found the woman to be rude and unhelpful. Based on my bad experience, I advise people to look elsewhere. I also advise Ms. Bartnik to look for a new receptionist.

Response to Owner Update: No collecting of thoughts was needed, and I find your insinuation par for the course. I knew exactly what the document was called as I was holding it in my hand and told the receptionist what the title of it was. What I hoped for was a quick, three to five minute meeting so you could tell me exactly what I needed to do or bring with me (death certificate, etc) and then schedule a time this week to get the document officially notarized. My wife and I were also interested in getting our wills done in the very near future, but we will go elsewhere after this experience. You don't need to respond further.
