So disappointed in them. Have been a customer for 20+ years. Have had a call in for maintenance on gas fireplace. Twice they have had the decency to call to cancel (one star) but it has been the day of and AFTER the time scheduled for maintenance. Not going to try again.

I have used Island Energy for the last 14 years and I have to say the service is Top Shelf. This is a local business and you won't be disappointed. Right from the first call to the office, Heather to the service tech who arrives on time, Parker they are the ones you want looking at your system. Honest/friendly service. I highly recommend them.

After waiting 6 weeks, Island Energy is still not able to even schedule a service appointment for us, despite the fact that they installed the entire HVAC system in our house.

I have been a customer of this company since 2013, until today. Starting 2022, they have canceled my maintenance appointment WITHOUT or with very little notice 3 times and basically told me I either had to deal with their flaky operational method (aka last minute cancellations), short-staffedness and prioritization over so-called "no heat calls", or "JUST GO LOOK FOR A NEW COMPANY". I am shocked and speechless at how they treat their long-term customer who has not only used their service for years but also referred many family members and friends. It seems they want their customers to beg for their service and to stay home waiting for their technicians who will probably never show up as promised.

The first annual maintenance appointment that was cancelled was scheduled for January 2022. It was cancelled the day before. OK - since I didn't have any urgent issues, I decided to just wait for the rescheduled one. It was then rescheduled to October. I received an appointment reminder a few days before and made time to wait for the technician on the day of the appointment. Then ON THE DAY of appointment, when I was sitting home waiting, right before the appointment, I received an email saying the appointment was cancelled because "you did not reply the appointment reminder email to confirm. " After I called out this ridiculous excuse (the appointment reminder email NEVER asked for any kind of confirmation as the title of the email suggest - it's just a REMINDER), Island Energy replied saying they are short-staffed. Specifically, they emphasized that their company prioritizes "no heat" calls over routine maintenance appointments which I assume is the reason why my previous two appointments were cancelled last minute. I expressed my frustration and worry that my equipments need to be checked since they haven't been for 2 years. The air circulation seems to be having issues and my fireplace has not been working properly (fire hazard). So I pled to them to not cancel my appointment again once rescheduled. (I still don't understand why customers have to beg for an app to not be canceled.).

Island Energy then rescheduled me for today at 9: 30am (November 9), adding "While I cannot guarantee that we can keep this appointment we will do our very vest. It this does not work for you then perhaps you would be best to find another company to deal with. Let me know! " (Excellent example of their customer service that doesn't really care about their long-term customers).

Then on the day of this newly scheduled appointment, I stay home waiting. At 10am, still no one showed up and I didn't received any call or email cancelling this appointment. I phoned Island Energy. The person who answered said my appointment is cancelled (of course), then she went on to elaborate on how many no heat calls they have and how they don't have internet today to send out cancellation emails (how convenient). Well, it seems obvious they have access to phone line so a call in the morning would have been nice so I didn't have to stay home for the whole morning waiting.

Given this is the third time Island Energy has cancelled my appointment with little notice or WITHOUT notice, I have had enough. I don't know what is going on with this company and their repeated cancellations of appointments, not to mention their cold and flaky customer service. I would not recommend anyone to waste their time to deal with this company.

I had a heat pump unit with 2 inside heads installed by Island Energy. One downstairs in the living room and one upstairs in the master bedroom. They did a great job! Ed, Brittany and Calen were experienced at their work and were cheerful and friendly while they were working in my home. They also cleaned up their work area both days they were here. I would highly recommend them.

This is a company you want, from the moment I decided we need a heat pump, they were the first of 3 companies contacted to get back to me. They were fast about getting the estimator out to my property, they were honest about the time frame for the installation. (All 3 companies were about the same 4 months on average for installation).
The price Quoted by island energy was the best of 3 by a lot.
This company worked with us, through Delays due to Covid, medical problems, and schedules.
There installation crew were top shelf and very nice people to have working on property, they never seemed to take a break, they worked steady for 2 days 8hrs a day and had the job completed. In short Great Company. Highly recommended.

I got quotes from 5 HVAC subcontractors. As a professional engineer I analyzed the quotes and quickly determined Island Energy had the most accurate assessment and sizing of the system I required. Their price was very competitive and delivery/installation date amended to suit my schedule. The team fitting the through-floor vents did a marvelous job in ensuring the hickory flooring was not damaged. Am very happy with the overall project which is high praise as I am a hands-on DIYer and fully uinderstand and appreciate the challenges in retrofitting these systems.

I'm publicly giving Island Energy a five star review, not only for helping patiently to guide me towards the right decision for upgrading our heating system, but also for the how they responded when things didn't quite go as expected during installation. They were responsive, rational, and caring. In addition to this one major install, I have used them for a couple of years for general system maintenance. They are always helpful, punctual, clean, and friendly.

We've received heat pump maintenance and thermostat repair & installation from Parker and Chris between 2017 and 2021. They were both very knowledgeable, efficient, and polite. Very easy to do business with, and we felt that we were receiving excellent quality. Would definitely recommend.

Huge savings on my hydro bill! I went from baseboard heating to a heat pump - I am saving well over 50% in costs (plus my house is lovely and warm) Super pleased!

I have been using Island Energy since the early 90's. The company and all its staff are first rate and a pleasure to do business with.
Rob Barry is super knowledgeable in the area home heating and cooling and will point you in the right direction for you and your homes needs.
