One year from payment to delivery and even then the motor is not as promised. Plus, the installed garage door had two dings right from the start.
The staff is very pleasant, though. Supplier must be really cramping their style.

Not a happy customer. First off I'll say I got my door (mostly) as ordered and it works. Quality seems decent. Installers were good. Customer service was another matter.

My challenge is I had a $3200 deposit in place for 9 months, and horrendous communication where I had to pester them repeatedly for updates. I know that the numerous missed installation dates (at 5 months, 7 months, and 8 months) were a result of supplier issues. These things happen especially post-COVID. A phone call or two would have went a long way.

Would have loved to see this company do one of 1) communicate the issue TO me, rather than me having to chase them 2) offer to refund part (or all) of the deposit while we continued to wait 3) offer an alternate solution at the same (or similar) price. All of these options seem like pretty straight forward customer service.

After 9 months of me paying interest on a deposit, they phoned me 2 days after installation to insist for the remainder of the payment. I just about lost it.

Customers seem to be an inconvenience here. Will take my money elsewhere in the future, and wish I did the previous time I bought doors from them as well.

The service has been very disappointing. It has been a year and my garage door has not been replaced. The responsibility has lied solely on me to get updates and find out how to move the process along. Not once has the company contacted me to give me an update or offer an apology for the delay. They have tried to blame both me and problems with the supply chain. I had to pay for repairs to my vehicle because I could not put it in the garage safely with a broken garage door and it sustained damage over the winter. Consider looking at other companies.

Despite a communication error regarding a hardware issue, the installer did a very good job. He was on time, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. When the door was in, he cleaned up the site. He also said this was one of the best companies he had ever worked for; what a good thing to hear from an employee!

I had a wonderful experience at Island Overhead. In spite of being closed, she offered to help me. I had a garage door opener that wasn’t working. She generously took it apart put in a new battery then checked that it worked. When I thanked her and asked what I owed, this lovely lady said with a smile.no charge. This made my day.

Their technician Tommy fixed our overhead door that was in dire need of service while we were at work. We remotely opened the door and he went to business. Tommy was extremely knowledgeable and in addition to servicing our door he offered to bring in a package that was on our doorstep before leaving. Thank you!

The first person Steve to measure the garage door was off (I checked) by a bit & should of discounted a bit for piping above so I did not have to reorder 2 panels which took a month.
Aaron gets a for install & follow up but overall the garage door is now fully insulated with a contractor & working well so satisfied overall with my purchase.

We ordered a white powder-coated aluminum door with 12 glass panels, to complete my wife's quilting studio. The door is stunning and perfectly complements her studio. The only glitch we had was with a minor error during installation, which Island Overhead Doors immediately agreed to rectify.

I'm pleased with our new Steel Craft garage door installed by Island Overhead Door. (1979) Ltd.
Unlike my noisy old garage door our new door is very quiet and smooth when opening and closing.
The removal of the old door and hardware and installation of the new door went quickly and smoothly and was interesting to watch. The installer was courteous and did a professional job A panel had been damaged during shipment with a couple of tiny dents. When the new panel arrived the damaged panel was quickly removed and the new panel installed. Our new door looks very nice and adds to the value of our house. My experience with Island Overhead Door Ltd has been very positive

I used island overhead doors to repair my cube van rear door several years ago and was very satisfied with their service. More recently my home garage door broke. They were able to make an appointment the very next day, install was quick, unfortunately during the process one of the garage panels was damaged but the installer Thomas, came back and took full responsibility and made everything right. I would highly recommend them for any overhead door projects.
