I had a fantastic experience at this vet hospital. My puppy got injured and I was able to bring him in right away. Dr. Sarah Dumont and her team did an exceptional job with the surgery. 2 weeks later, my puppy is fully healed and there were no complications during the recovery period. In addition, my puppy is always so happy when visiting this vet hospital which says a lot about the staff. Thank you Sarah and team!

Love this place. Everyone is really caring and do their best to make sure your pet is comfortable. Our last dog was well known by the staff and we plan on introducing our new dog to the team once our adoption is finalized in a few days.

Dr. Aimee is fantastic! She was caring, patient and offered best advice during numbers of follow up visits, after my dog had gone through an ear wound surgery at another ER hospital. Highly recommend!

Tonight we said goodbye to my sisters dog and best friend. It was one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I had never been to this clinic before but something told me the weeks leading up to this decision that it had to be done there. I am so glad it was. Dr. Amy and the staff were so accommodating and empathetic that it made even the most painful of times better. I really wanted to thank everyone there so much. This is the type of place I have been searching for and will definitely be bringing my dogs there from now on for all their care needs.

Took my dog in for diarrhea and vomiting. The admins, techs, and Dr. Sarah were all kind and engaging. After living in Vancouver for a few years I'm thrilled to even have vet introduce themselves when they walk into the room. I had a good discussion with Dr Sarah and we came up with a treatment plan. She suggested some very appropriate tests to run that were a little outside my budget given the non-emergency status of his issues. I suggested we treat some common culprits (worms) and test for giardia also seemed very plausible and revisit the expensive tests if nothing changed over the next few days. I never felt pressured with my decisions and we all agreed he would come back if anything changed. I will be going back again regardless.:) Five stars.

Phenomenal vet! Love all the staff here, they explain everything so well and are all so kind and helpful. Big shoutout to the nurses and receptionists as well who do so much to try to keep my two kitties comfortable:)

Great group of doctors, shout out to Dr. Dumont. Not only is she good with your pet, a dog in my case, she's also great with you, the stubborn human, lol. Highly recommend for your pets needs.

I took my beloved French bulldog into the vet as she had a runny rose with yellow discharge and a bad cough. After I informed them of her symptoms upon arrival the vet which is apparently new to the hospital decided it would be necessary to go forward with doing an X ray for pneumonia and multiple other exams. Afterwards the vet comes to the conclusion that my dog has a foreign object in her esophagus. I told them I would still like to do testing for the symptoms my dog was evidently having with the gluey nose discharge. The vet completely disregarded this. I later find out from a radiologist there was no foreign object in my dog $1200 dollars later and absolutely no explanation for the symptoms I brought her in for in the first place. I knew she had no object in her. She is with me 24/7. They refused to listen.

I am currently a week post vet and my dog can still barely breathe and clearly has a cold or bacterial inflection with the yellow gluey discharge coming from her nose of which I refuse to take her in again and waste more money at this vet. Please do your research and due diligence before going here. They do not listen to their consumers that evidently know their dogs more than the vet would as we are with our beloved animals everyday and know them inside and out. This is not the first time I have been ripped off here hence why I am writing this review in attempt to warn other concerned animal owners who only want their pet to be of the best health.

Very friendly staff when I had my angle boo passed away they were very sweet and kind and knew how I was feeling cause I was in tears over losing my furr baby and my husband was trying to be strong for me even though he loved him lots as well. But I got him cremated and they had paw prints as well I got from the package and I'd say there very reasonable priced cause I know alot of other places cost a lot more for cremation, thank you staff there for your kindness and love during our tough time of losing our furr baby, thank you so much. Dr. Yvonne and her staff are super knowledgeable and compassionate. They are also extremely understanding of anxious pets and do their best to make their experience as fear free as possible. We've been going to them on and off for 10+ years depending on where we were living, and always end up coming back to them as they're the best we've had.

I was recommended by a friend to come here when I got my kitten. I’m so happy I did, it’s very reassuring to know my cat Orion is in great hands. All the staff is amazing! They are all friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and caring. I’ve only had the best experiences coming here, definitely recommend!

It's always a pleasure coming here as everyone is so nice and welcoming. Any questions I have, I know I can just send over email and get an answer back. Emma, Rebecca, Sarah, and Aiko are all so lovely to talk to. Having been with Sarah Dumont, she is kind and explains everything well. However, Kristen really stood out to me as she made an effort to reach out in regards to my puppy's teeth extraction plan and made sure I understood everything that was going on, and helped make the treatment plan better and more affordable. She wasn't even the person handling this case but since it's something we chatted about before, she made sure to check in with me about it. Kristen is awesome! Overall, although a bit pricey, I would definitely recommend coming here as the service is impeccable and it's worth the dollars knowing that my baby is being taken care of by the best.

Had to come here a few years ago with a sick cat. Had to put her down. Very sad but the vet was very helpful and made the situation as easy as possible.

The staff are very friendly and professional and tend to all needs, no matter the issue.

I have been using their veterinary service for several years. The staff is always friendly, cheerful,
helpful and compassionate. They listen to your concerns. I’ll definitely continue to take my Sammy
there.

I came to buy a supplement gel for a second time. There was no words illustration at the door and the door was unlocked. I went in and a female vet said no one was allowed to come in during the pandemic. I asked nicely whether I could buy (and leave since I was here). She waved her hand and repeated the policy like I didn’t hear the first two times, saying you must call before you came. A girl this young, pretty and educated wouldn’t it be nice not to patronize.

This is definitely the best vet I've been to. The facilities look pleasant and they've done a good job of keeping it updated unlike the others I've been which look more run down. The technicians and front desk reception are solid.

If I may give some feedback, I wish the doctors would get to know my pet a bit better as some of them tend to have naturally strong projected voices which really puts my pet on edge. I also understand that animals would be pretty displeased with being stuck by needles and whatnot, but they seem to just brute force it instead of figuring out by now having brought my pet here nearly all it's life that it would potentially be easier if they adjusted to the animal itself instead of trying to please me. I'm not the one getting the shot after all.

Also feel the staff are under extreme pressure to upsell. I rejected additional treatment but they forgot to cross it off the list and performed it anyway, costing me an additional $200. Honestly, I am kinda scared to share this because I really hope to retain them as my pet's lifelong doctor and want to maintain a good relationship. I don't really feel they are giving advice in the best interest of my pet nor do I feel they have demonstrated themselves knowledgeable in the breed. I feel very pressured to spend money in the way they provide information.

Professional, careful, friendly, very thorough with explanations and details. These folks will absolutely take care of you and your pets. <3

Fabulous staff who are very skilled, compassionate, and excellent at communicating with us. We've been going there for several years now and we've had a great experience. Definitely recommend them!

Island vet has been amazing with my animals. The staff are professional and courteous and have gone the extra mile every step of the way. I have had animals for 27 years, both dogs and cats and have lived in different communities so have been to a number of vet clinics over the years and this clinic is by far one of the best vet clinics.

The staff consistently goes out of their way to be caring and kind to us, and every vet we've spoken to give us their full attention and seem to really care for our pups. Highly recommend.

DO NOT GO HERE! I would give 0 stars if I could. Our dog meelo was very sick and all island veterinary ever did was tests and take all our money. Now that we changed vets, Meelo finally got diagnosed and has gained weight and energy again.

We brought our new puppy to Island Vet on the referral of friends. We are sure glad we did. Everyone at the clinic was incredibly nice, professional and it was obvious to us that they love animals.
The staff spent considerable time explaining to us Rollo's requirements over the next year and things to consider that we had not. We opted for one of their payments plans that balances the cost of everything required for the year (stool tests, spade, flea pills etc).
The clinic followed up with phone calls over the next few days to make sure he was having no adverse effects. He is thriving and growing (too) fast. Thanks Island Vet.

One of the best veterinary practices I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They have been extremely helpful in helping me figure out what is wrong with my dog. I am new to being a dog owner and they have taken the time to show me how to be a bit better at doing just that. Yes it costs money, yes it's more then I can afford at certain times and somethings I have to pick and choose. But the staff there help me sort out what's immediately important compared to what can wait and help me make informed decisions. They are also extremely patient with me. It's not easy having a person come in who has 200 questions about what does what and why this versus why that and also wants to know things 5 or even 10 steps ahead so that he can plan for the worst if need be. Dr. Yvonne is very informative and does not need to take the time out of her busy day to answer all of my questions but she does. That is what doing good business means and this is why I continue bringing my dog here because they take the time to do good business.

After having a terrible experience with RAPS animal hospital. I took my files over to island vet. My dogs are seniors so it was important that I had a vet very close to home. I had an emergency with one of my dogs soon after opening files. The appt was fast and easy to book. The first appointment was a reduced rate. Dr Loomis was thoughtful and compassionate. She gave me all my options. We laid out a course of action. The staff checked in with me daily to see how Artie was doing. Thanks to Dr.loomis. I've got Artie for Christmas and it seems for a good long while. Thank you to the whole island vet team. Amazing group. I'm so glad I found you in the nick of time during this crazy time of year.

Ps- I know cost is an issue for all of us. But not once did I feel that there was an unnecessary test or exam was done. I think what makes me feel comfortable here is that every one is working to make both my dog and me feel taken care of.

I have nothing but nice words to say about this hospital.
I never have had any issues in any way. I have always been informed and given options in regards of health issues and concerns with my pet as well as leaving it up to me, going forward with the procedures or not, if and when they where needed.

I have been informed if and when there was waiting time, I have never had a problem in regards to making an appointment for and to my convenience and whenever I have had a question or questions, they where always answered immediately and if more information was needed, research was done and the information given to me.

My animal is in excellent hands with all the vets working in that hospital as well as the whole team and I would not want to have my pet in any other hospital neither a different team looking after him.

Worst VET i have ever been to they scam you.so much I was forced to buy the wellness plan and they charged me over $200 for the plan and I did not do one of the tests for my cat they charged an additional $70 never give the referral fees either DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
