Istanbul Doner

Outstanding real turkish doner. Great taste, great service and very polite staff.we had the beef pita which came in the handmade bread made on the premise which made this experience extra special from any other doner/shawarma places around. We also had the chicken plate which was also nice. Another impressive point about this place eas that they actually carved the meat infornt of you instead of serving from already carved containers.the beef and chicken were very fresh and fairly lean and by far healtheir than other places. We also tried their pistachio baklava and they were truly a delight.

A few improvements we would suggest:
1- Play turkish or middle eastern music to add more to the beautiful ambience and vibe
2- provide some extra sauce and side options (hot sauce, garlic sauce, tahini sauce, onion and parsley, homus, etc) for people who want more taste with the experience.
3- maybe warmed up onion and tomato mix on the plates would be nicer.

Traditional Turkish taste, kind service providers! Loved the food. It's a super busy area so parking could be an issue.

Chicken is to cold and ️is not fresh. Kitchen Chef needs more safety food taken precautions - using rags and handling with food.

Veryyy rude and poor customer service! The lady there did even bother cleaning the tables… after being told TWO times, she then did it with too much hesitation!

Food was also pricey and interesting enough that the waitress didn’t even bring spoon & fork that I had to ask for it! If I see anywhere that their customer care is like that, definitely 0/10 regardless of how good the food is!
Also, when I wanted ketchup on the fries, she just gave in a smallest container exists out there that was probably a few drops of ketchup…

Talking about the quality of the food, it’s just something average, but obviously wasn’t worth the price.

I ordered two mixed doner plates and sultak. When I arrived at the restaurant around 9 pm, I noticed large beef and chicken skewers on their doner oven. Unfortunately, it seemed like those skewers had been there for a while, indicating that the food wasn't fresh, especially the meat.

When the plates were served, I was disappointed to find that the doner didn't live up to the quality I expected, similar to the doner in Istanbul. In fact, it was even worse than the other doner restaurant on Robson Street.

In my opinion, this restaurant has a lot of room for improvement with their food. If they don't make significant changes, you'll simply be wasting your money on their dishes. Personally, I would recommend trying Persian food on Denman Street instead.

Authentic and over due addition to West End. Best Turkish kebab outside of Germany or Turkey. The house made pita is fluffy and light and the meat inside is moist and flavorful. Seemed a bit pricey until you saw the large portions.

We got the chicken Döner, it was decent, very filling. I think it was over priced tho $16 plus tax just for the sandwich.
A meal with fries and a pop came up to $23

There’s no parking so finding parking was pretty difficult. And no washrooms.

But good experience over all.

I got the beef platter it wasn't good. Too oily and no flavor to taste. I'm really disappointed at this place.

The best doner in the Vancouver! Texas size plates! Convenient location by Stanley park if you are looking for halal food option.

It's been a while since I had an actual turkish doner, a lot of people might think that doner is something everyone could make, certainly needs a depth in turkish culture to get the taste right, I'm not turkish but I can tell an othantic doner from a westernised one.
Istanbul doner has such a lovely staff, highly recommended.
Please consider opening another branch in the Coquitlam/Maple ridge area.

Doner burger is extremely delicious. Ask for extra saucy. The square green looking dessert is amazing

Great Customer service and food. The pricing can be better in my opinion based on the fact that the store is mostly take out based. Definitely stocked for the fact that we can see good Turkish food around Vancouver

Beef wrap is so delicious and huge. The taste of sutlac also is amazing. I will definitely try other desserts.

Being someone who usually isn't fond of the taste of beef at Vancouver restaurants, I was initially hesitant about trying it. However, this place completely surpassed my expectations! Not only do they serve incredibly tasty dishes, but they also go the extra mile to create a wonderful dining atmosphere.

Deliciously authentic Turkish food and exceptionally friendly staff. We stopped for a light meal. The acili ezme, which you could call Turkish salsa, was tangy and flavorful, and the tzatziki was cool and creamy. Both paired well with the bread. Everything tasted lovely and homemade. Our server even gave us free bulgar nuggets. I only wish they served çay; unfortunately Turkish tea was not available.

The Chicken Dönar plate was a good portion but I found the chicken was under seasoned and not all that flavourful which is a pity cause the portion side was great. Expected a bit more depth of flavour, especially for the price.

Besides the meat in the doner being dry and tasteless and being very expensive, my family and I felt very uncomfortable going in and ordering food since there were Turkish customers dining in who kept starring at us and giving us dirty looks. We are spending money as well and do not deserve to feel uncomfortable simply because we are not Turkish.

I bought this for $20 thinking maybe it might be absolutely huge. I cannot believe I paid $20 for a glorified burger. Go to Donair Dude instead.

Terrible experience, we ordered 4 donair wraps, and after waiting for 15 minutes we asked how long does it take to make our orders ready, and we were told that it is gonna takes another 30 minutes! Because the meat (beef) is not ready yet! We changed our order to chicken to get it quicker, and this is not the end of the story!
We had four chickens donair wrap and we all got sick, like poisoning.
That was the most expensive donair we have ever had, not tasty at all, you could barely see topping in it and obviously, something was wrong with the meat.

Iskender was delicious want to try the çiğ kofte next time only thing was wish the portion was bigger

TLDR: amazing food, authentic, delicious!

There was a whole group of us that went in for a some good Turkish donair. The group got chicken donair, beef donair, some fries, and a few other platters. The host brought us extra appetizers (they were amazing, to say the least).

My beef donair was very tasty. It was packed full of tasty meat, lots of veggies, and an amazing sauce. The bread was fresh made and the whole thing was too big to finish in one sitting.

Overall, a lovely new spot in Vancouver for authentic Turkish cuisine! Give it a try, and make sure to get some delicious appetizers!

It was the closest taste to back home in vancouver:) staff was very friendly, appreciated for their service.

When we visited, it’d been only 2 weeks since they opened. They were working very hard back at the kitchen to serve the crowd. Some people were waiting outside. We were lucky to be able to sit. They have limited tables. Doner was delicious. We didn’t try anything else, but we’ll eat there again during out next visit to Vancouver.

Waited 30 minutes to get my order, but I wasn’t told there would be a long waiting time at the first. The meat was tasteless, dry and almost no toppings inside the wrap. I got stomach ache for a few hours after eating the chicken wrap, very overprice for what they serve
