Jade Palace Chinese Restaurant

Tasty dim sum and portions are larger than usual. Busy at lunch but didn’t take more than 10 mins to get a seat for 6.

I was looking for a good place for dim sum and a friend recommended this restaurant. She was right - it was really good. The food was really tasty, good menu and service!

Look no further there is quality food here. This place has been around for at least a couple of decades. Cheers

Usually pretty good but it was not good this past time. We ate what we could and ended up having to throwing out the rest. Chow mein had no real flavour but had a funny aftertaste, like cornstarch or baking soda. The rest didn't taste much better. Really a shame to waste considering the price of food nowadays. Don't know if I'll be eating from there again.

Tasty food at reasonable prices. Don't bother with reservations on busy dates - they won't have a table for you nor the dozen other overbooked reservations.

New owners took over and it doesn't feel the same, the quality of food went down as well

Great location for Dim Sum, if you’re in Burnaby or North Vancouver. We’d typically drive to Richmond for good Dim Sum, but thought we’d try this much closer location. There was plenty of variety, and the food was well prepared. We even decided to get some take-out.

The only downside is that tables were quite squished together so people were bumping into our chairs as they came and went.

Made reservations for 12 people travelling in from all over the city. Arrived promptly and the restaurant was packed. Spoke with the manager / owner and asked how long for our table. He said 10 minutes. This scenario repeated several times. 40 minutes later, still no table in sight. We’ve dined here before and there is really only one table that can accommodate a group our size. I finally decided to walk to the bathroom so I could see how close that table was to finishing. It looked like they were only halfway through which likely meant another 40 minutes. What’s the point of taking reservations is you’re not going to honour it.

I was visiting family and we had dinner there twice in a week! Our orders included various meat, seafood and vegetable dishes. - everything was very fresh & tasty. The pork chops and roast squabs (baby pigeons) were super yummy! The dishes came quickly and in very large servings. We were impressed! What's more? Eating here won't break your bank. And the owner was super friendly. The staff was very efficient & helpful. So happy to discover this little gem.we DEFINITELY will be back!

UPDATE: within the same week, my family did a Dim Sum takeout and we got about 8 items. Everything was delicious & generously sized. Let me comment on two items in particular. 1) Ha Gau (shrimp dumplings) had great filling but I wish the skin was thinker 2) the Portugese Egg Tart was exceptionally mouth watering. HUGE HIT!

Good dim sum place and the owner will give you complimentary egg tarts if you order over a certain value of items I think. Their shrimp dumplings, chicken feet and egg tarts are good.

Friendly staff, good portion of food, many selections, large table. I would not say it's the best but it's fairly good with a reasonable price.

Nice neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Didn’t make reservation on a Saturday morning but was able grab a table really quick. The dim sum were pretty good. Nice portions at reasonable price. Their food were not as salty as some other places and I didn’t feel thirsty after the meal, which meant they didn’t use much or any MSG. Service was quick. I would go back to give their dinner menu a try.

Went there for dim sum because the restaurant we had gone to before quality of food and presentation had gone down. I can say just the opposite for the Jade Palace, there quality was exceptional and freshly made. We usually go for dim sum as a family and we were all pleased with the service. We will be back!

Went for dim sum. Very fast service. Eggplant with shrimp was kinda lacking in flavour but everything else was good. Parking is kind of a gongshow despite them having a decent sized lot. The 2 free public lots around them get full fast also. Price is medium/high for dim sum.

The owner came over with a piece of paper that said 1x Green Bean ‘on the house’ because he liked my beard. The beans were crispy, crunchy and perfect. This kind of service and food quality is hard to find anymore and I would definitely go back.
ALL DAY dim sum? ! Don’t tell toooo many people or it will be the busiest place around!

Best Chinese food in burnaby! Also super fast in house delivery. Great prices and great portions!

Got our baby shower food from here, and everyone loved it! Good portions, and everything was delicious! Owners are SUPER friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

We had a family birthday dinner here today. Food and service was very good. My family used to frequent the old restaurant in this location and are glad that the good food and service has carried on. We ordered the make-your-own combo for 4 people and added 2 chow meins and a large wonton. More than enough food for 11 of us plus leftovers. Everything tasted great. We'll definitely be back for more family dinners. Owner was very friendly and chatty.

Very good restaurant. Delicious and price is good. Boss Fang is super nice! Highly recommend
