We ordered Chana masala from here the other day. It was very disappointing the portion was very small. This is noticeably smaller from the previous times we have ordered this dish.

So delighted to find the place.one of the best Afgani restaurants in the area.dishes are mouthwatering.great food.they deserve more than 5 star rating for the taste, presentation and service.

Amazing food and even more amazing owners! Try the cheese burger pizza and the butter chicken so good

Always a great experience with very friendly staff and their food is always sooo delicious! The veggie samosas are so crispy with great sauce and the vegetable chow mein is always a hit

This was an odd and very creepy experience.

At first, there was an issue with the driver delivering the wrong order. (I ordered through Uber Eats).

That’s a human mistake, and things happen. However the true issue was the restaurant’s response.

They immediately called me and demanded that I don’t contact Uber Eats Support.

Only a minute later, they called again and asked if I contacted Uber Eats Support, and said “if you do, they’ll deduct lots of money from us”. They demanded a few more times that I don’t tell Uber, before the call was ended.

Then they called me again and said “Just checking that you haven’t contacted Uber Support. They’ll take a lot and LOT of money from us if you do. We have your phone number, if you contact them. ”

Once the order was finally corrected delivered, the restaurant called me AGAIN and said “Just checking that you won’t contact Uber. We have your personal phone number and we’ll contact you if we see any deductions to our account. ” It was beyond creepy, very invasive, and startling. The food was fine, but I’ll never order again from here, it was extremely unsettling and stressful.

If I have an issue with my order, it’s not the restaurant’s right to contact my personal phone number multiple times and request that I keep the issue private from the company they’re delivering through.

Also, the phrasing of “We have your number, we’ll contact you if we end up seeing a deduction in our account” is CRAZY.

So the restaurant called me again for some reason, I didn’t pick up. But since it’s been weeks since I did this review, that’s creepy af that they still have my number.

Also, I’m not salty because the order was wrong. That happens! Mistakes happen and that’s a part of life. I have no issue with the Uber Eats driver. My issue is the extreme creepiness and insistence (from Jamila’s Kitchen) that I keep my issue a secret, and the constant phone calls.

The food was meh. The portions were not great. Not the worst for the price (I used an uber promo code) They forgot items from my order (Veggie Pakora, Bread) Definitely better Indian and Greek food in the area. Maybe dine - in is better.

Ordered through Uber eats. Note there are two Jamila found on Uber eats. Best to go via kitchen and grill, as it includes the Indian cuisine too. Ordered the chicken tikka masala. Asked for super mild and it worked out great. Veg Biryani was very good and not salty. Greek roast lamb was the best. Lamb was perfectly done and soft and not dry. The pilaf rice was the best. I asked for salad to be replaced with potato but that was not carried out. Yuck on Greek salad as I personally don't like it. Calamari was a bit disappointing. Would not recommend it. Batter was too thick and they need to choose better cut of squid. Also ordered lamb kabuli. Personally not my thing. And meat is too little. Definitely worth getting the roast lamb if you like Greek cuisine more.

Our butter chicken and biryani was sooo poorly made.we just threw them into trash.not edible.way too much spice. I don't even think you guys taste your own food.its not the first time your order was like this.never ordering again waste of 50$

The owners of this restaurant are amazing. They’re very giving to the community, great food and friendly staff.

Gives free food to those that cannot afford it and makes one of THE BEST Indian cuisine I have ever had

Been ordering from jamilas for a good 2 years, in that time I cant remember a single bad meal.
Everything is always in order in the bag, you get all your condiments, and the food is always fire and warm! Whether youre feeling for greek, afghan or indian its all good man, I tried the pizzas, the lamb, the chicken bro, the GOAT in the sauce dude!
You want a cool dessert to wash down all that food tho i guarantee you gotta wait a bit after, try the Ras Malai, its light, sweet, yet savoury, the perfect way to cap off a full meal bros

Wow! I don't do reviews. But the food was so good. It was cooked perfectly and tasted authentic and flavorful. And it was a Friday night. I had the lamb souvlaki dish. Highly recommend if you like authentic seasoned greek food.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! The owner, and their food are amazing! Above all this, they give back to the community! Such good people ️

Been ordering food here for take out regularly. The owner is great and the food taste and portion is amazing!

We wanted to try different restaurant than. Our usual so we give it shot As it has 4.1 rating. But we were disappointed, this is not indian restaurant, taste and greavy is quite different in taste, Naam is not as soft.

We are vegetarian and we only order indian food. They may have other stuff good but my family didn't like Indian food.

Wow! Outstanding restaurant. Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the entire Tri-Cities - even all of Vancouver. I've ordered many times from Jamila's and every time the food is incredible. Whether I get pizza or traditional food, it's always the best. They even customize your level of spiciness (I love mine super spicy). I highly recommend going here! They're amazing to the community too - lots of philanthropy.

Biryani was spicy and hot enough but didn't have enough ingredients. It was only rice and lamb. The paneer chili had a sweet taste to it. Very friendly staff though.

Gave them 2 chances and that's one too many. Their food is just bad, you would get the same quality, if not better from pre-packaged curries sold at grocery stores.

We ordered Qabuli rice with beef kebab as take out and it was so delicious and also the food quality was great. They packed the food for us organized and nice.

Ordered delivery from Jamila’s Kitchen and was so impressed! The Lamb Qabuli Palaw and Boolani were amazing, not to mention the chutneys! 5 stars all the way, will definitely order from them again.

We had the feast for two. There was too much rice compared to everything else it comes with. Single order for butter chicken and single skewer of chicken. It would've been nice if they threw in another skewer of something else and at least some greek potatoes.

Chicken was dry (maybe due to take out) ?

Flavour was alright. Heat on Indian food was at a good level.

I’ve gotten the Honey Garlic Chicken wings from here a few times with my friends and we have always enjoyed the meal. Easily the best wings I’ve had. Owner of the store is also very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, and even better service! Ordered for pick up, but when I got home I realized they messed up my order. I called back and told them what was missed and they apologized. They asked for my address then delivered the missing item in less than 15mins. Although they messed up my order, i appreciate how they went above and beyond to redeem themselves. Will definitely be coming back!

Friendly staff, excellent Indian food, lots of choices and fantastic lunch specials. The portions aren't as big as other places but it more than makes up for it just on taste alone. Highly recommended.

My oven just broke and I had a $30 uber eats coupon so naturally the first place I thought to order dinner from was Jamila’s!

I'd say don't do skip the dishes or any food service because if you're expecting what you see in photos of dining in, you're going to be disappointed. Here's two orders of calamari for $13 each. Half full, cold, and soggy.and they forgot to include the tzatziki I ordered. What is calamari without tzatziki Edit: Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message. Maybe you're right, I could've called to rectify the issue, but the food still came out of your restaurant to be delivered to me, and your staff saw the condition of it before they packed it up. At that point, would someone from your restaurant have driven to my home to replace it? Or would it be a next time I dine with you, something happens? If it would have been the latter, I'll pass!

Hands down the best take out you could ever buy.i've been ordering from jamila's for probably coming close to a decade.it's absolute quality, handmade, authentic and family run.i've ordered for house parties with friends, office lunches, dinners etc and have never had anything less than amazing.they truly are deserving of five stars.

Jamila, Jamila.butter chicken Jamila's.is the best I've ever have, rice freshly cooked and the bread is to kill for as well as the samosas, divine.as take out only right now, the containers are strong and reusable, this restaurant owners also serve people in need and sponsor a lot of teams in Coquitlam, you are not only getting the best food for your money, you also contribute the small business who contribute to the community.

Mild butter chicken was "white girl perfect" and medium chicken goa had reasonable heat without burying the flavor. The salad was incredible. This was the best curry we've found in the area yet; we'll be back for sure!

One of the best Restaurants in Coquitlam area. We go there frequently and nowadays just takeout. Very friendly staff and tasty food. The main dish takes a bit long to be ready but I guess that is because they make everything fresh!

Ordered Skip the Dishes from Jamila’s and got Indian food. It was really good! I love Indian food and they hit the spot. I got the chicken Vindaloo, boyfriend got the butter chicken. I’d order again for sure!

If you are looking for a Authentic Afghan Food so this is the place very delicious food Specially the Qabili Palaw and i tried their Indian food Biryaani it was good too the owner of this restaurant is very Friendly i highly recommend to come here and give a try their delicious foods

! We ordered the dinner size calamari but it looks like appetizer and it was raw and chewy. Total order around $100 including, Greek Salad, skewers, rice, dips, samosa, bread, pita etc. I hate to write a bad review on a pandemic but the owner needs to put more attention.portions way too small and taste wasn’t great either.

I love ordering from Jamilas! They have a very wide selection of food but I always seem to order the Indian and it is delicious! Would highly recommend the palak paneer, Great naan and rice too. The staff/owners are so kind, friendly and appreciative of the business. I always recommend this place to friends.

What a delicious meal! The mousaka was the best I ever had, and the prawn masala with paneer naan blew my mind! I also love how this place feeds the poor. Very admirable

Ordered Greek from here but really this is not true Greek. The calamari was overcooked and very dry, the tzatziki was so thick you could turn it upside down and it would not fall out of the container, the rice was not correct in its flavour.definitely not Greek flavour or colour, the Greek salad was a white onion salad with 3 pieces of tomato and no dressing.a tiny bit of feta.it was grated not chunks so maybe not even feta. Maybe caught them on a bad Friday night but we waited well over an hour too. Blech!

This restaurant has the best tasting food for Indian cuisine and their pizzas are very good as well. We love how they offer to feed those in need. They cook everything from scratch and have the best customer service. We hope customers tip them well. We ate their food last night and it was delicious. We are hooked now.

Good experience with Jamila's.
My wife wanted pizza and she can be picky, but she was happy with the Greek pizza.
The roast lamb was succulent.
The saag goat was full of flavour.
The butter chicken taste a little bit like tomato soup.
The tzatziki was fresh and thick.
The breads were fresh and wonderful.
This all came with various sauces, rice, potatoes and salads. All very nice.

Could you please pay closer attention to where you are delivering? We put delivery instructions for a reason. However.your food is great, loved it.

The food didn't seem fresh at all, the Greek style potatoes were a weird brown colour (not due to seasoning), the calamari was a strange light beige colour, and the lamb and beef souvlaki both were too tough and chewy (when it should be tender). Not to mention that the rice was clearly from another dish, not suitable for Greek cuisine, and the tzatziki was overly sour.

In our experience it's not easy to find good Indian food in Coquitlam, and unfortunately this is the case with Jamila's Kitchen & Grill. I hate to write a bad review for a local shop but I need to keep track of which Indian restaurants are worthwhile and, while the rice was fine and the naan was.okay, the butter chicken tasted essentially like canned tomato soup. Also it was actually quite expensive ($18 for butter chicken and rice + a salad we didn't necessarily want) which makes it even more disappointing considering the quality. Sorry but I would try elsewhere.

Second chance We ordered pizza it had no meat, all the toppings were old vegetables.so we called back to let them know, some lady picked up the phone and I could not even understand what she was saying, it felt like she was eating or something while talking on the phone we had to order from different place.this place is horrible and the manager/owner is very rude.

The food is very good, and when we got home with it to find they had made a mistake on the order, the guy drove the replacement meal to our house for free.

I went there to pick a skip order and i waited for 23 minutes while they served 5 customers who came after me and when i asked for how much time will it take their answer was ‘we will give you the order whenever it’s ready’. I didn’t show up early. Skip gives you pickup time for every order So, i showed at exact time. But it isn’t about time it was the behaviour you had. That bad one.

Just so great. Second time ordering here, we just got the calamari dinner and lamb souvlaki dinner. The best lamb souvlaki dinner I’ve had in years.

Amazing lunch menu. Ten bucks gets you a bunch of food and it's made fresh right in front of you. I've been going here for years and I've always been satisfied.

The Lamb Curry was just a few pieces and in a watery curry. The SALAD only has some mushy cucumber with soggy tomatoes. The CHICKEN was very dry and overcooked. I do not recommend this place. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
