I ordered 40 bowls for lunch for my event. The bowls are GF so I didn’t have to worry about dietary restrictions. I got lots of great feedback, people loved the food. My order was packaged and ready on time as promised. Thank you, I’ll be ordering again.

Tried this place a few nights ago, and was really delighted with my meal! Big portions, lots of flavour, all around nice experience. I went back tonight, and there is obviously a new staff member working.but instead of being supervised/trained by the other team members who were there, he was left on his own to prepare my order. He SCRAPED out the bottom of the rice cooker, but instead of going to get more, he decided a pitiful amount of rice was appropriate and moved on to the next bit. He put teeny tiny amounts of everything else on top, closed up the box, and handed it to me. Honestly I could barely tell that there was anything inside, because it was so light. I'm just flabbergasted at the complete 180 from my previous experience here, and think that this new staff member is obviously not yet ready to be completing orders on his own. We all start somewhere, I get that, but where's the quality control? ! If this was my 1st experience here, you better believe I would not be returning, especially at the price point ($18+). Thankfully I can cook some extra rice and doctor it all up a bit when I get home.but doesn't that reallllllly miss the point of picking up some takeout? Quite disappointed by this experience, and am not sure I'd come back for round 3.

Insanely greasy food. There was so much grease that it literally seeped through and wet the entire bottom of the container, then just completely covered me in oil, staining about $150 in clothes.

Chicken shawarma wrap was wonderful and generously portioned for a reasonable price. Service was friendly and helpful, despite some technical glitches (I ended up paying cash).

Best meal on campus, any time I want to treat myself, this is where I come. And Falafel Fridays are the cherry on top.

Friendly staff, asked for more sauce and I got what I wanted. Falafel was crispy and fresh, aromatic and delicious.

The team was amazing. I tried Lebanese fries and chicken bowl which was too amazing. Even the Manager greeted me very well. They were so humble. I will be back for sure and highly recommend this place.

“Build your own Chicken” with a side of 2 falafel.

This was quite exquisite and mouth watering. The chicken was super tender and the sauces added a very good kick. The staff were very welcoming and food was served quick. This was my first time but surely not the last.

Used to be the best food on campus - they adapted the model from being able to custom order and watch them build to placing an order and waiting. I think this changed the ability to customize. Now, I'd call it a decent meal that I have once every couple months - before it was my weekly fav.

I gave it 3 stars because the quality and taste of the food here has dropped. It used to be very tasty and it came with brown rice as written but now it’s a yellow white rice… the portion size has also decreased.

Healthy vegan style food and very friendly and welcoming service. Thanks to dear Pratik for his patience and warm assistance to me to choose my favourite vegan options!

Jamjar Canteen at UBC campus is a true find. The person in the front’s recommendation of hibiscus lemonade was spot on - a refreshing and must-try homemade drink. I felt like maybe he’s the owner of the place. The fries and chicken bowl were flawlessly executed, showcasing culinary excellence. Perfect for summer, this establishment deserves applause for its remarkable flavors and attentive suggestions

I got the chicken shawarma bowl. The food wasn’t completely fresh, but it was still enjoyable.

I love this place, some of the best quick food around. The flavors are great and it seems pretty healthy.

I wish they still did the half and half of the main dishes and also I use to enjoy creating my own plate by pointing at what looked good. The newer way to ordering creates a bit of mystery that isn’t ideal.

The cauliflower and chicken are my favorite. I think I’d do the hummus over the red pepper sauce next time.

Definitely a great deal and good option for lunch or dinner. I can imagine being a student on campus and using this as two meals for the day.

The Chicken Shawarma Bowl was amazing! The chicken thighs marinated in spiced yogurt were so flavorful. Generous portion, great value! Highly recommend for a tasty and satisfying meal.

P.s their self made drink is fresh and tasty as well!

Most importantly for me, the food is Halal here. I got a chicken bowl and it totally filled me up. The main food was chicken + rice but, including salad and desert (hummus) in the bowl, the single order was a complete meal. Nevertheless, I think it could be considered "student-affordable" as well. I must add that I felt like I need someone to explain to me where I should start eating it, but I believe I figured it out. The staff were welcoming and seemed to care about their work.

Fast and inexpensive for the portions. I got a Mujadara Bowl and couldn’t finish it for lunch it was so big. Had the rest of it for dinner with some more veggies and tofu added in. Both the original lunch and modified dinner leftovers were excellent.
