I was looking for a studio on instagram to shoot newborn photos and after going through many different profiles, I am glad I found Jana Photography.
Nasim and Jafer are very professional! The entire shoot went so smoothly for both my newborn and my 6 year old child. I cannot wait to go back for another session on the next milestone.

Both of my experiences with JaNa photography have been amazing! We went back for my second maternity shoot as our first experience was so great! She took the time to look back on our first shoot together and made sure our second time we were able to try different shots and moods, in addition, I was also very impressed by her ability to capture our 3-year-old's smiles and cute moments (as he is a bit of a trouble maker), and captured many special moments of us and our only child until our second baby arrives. I also love the addition of the couture dresses JaNa has added to their gown selections that I was able to wear this time, all the gowns are so beautiful. Despite me not feeling the greatest during both of my pregnancies, Nasim truly made the experience comfortable and fun, and I feel so beautiful in the photos she captured. I highly recommend JaNa Photography for anyone looking to capture these special moments!

I discovered JaNa through their incredibly beautiful Instagram account with stunning photos, and we did both our maternity and newborn sessions with Nasim and Jafar. My husband offered me a Solo Glam maternity session, and it was the best photography experience I ever had for myself. Never would have I thought that the most beautiful photos of me would be when being pregnant! Working her magic, Nasim makes you feel so comfortable and beautiful, you almost believe you're a model for reel. It's more than maternity photos, it's art! We then booked our newborn session with Jafar for our little family of four, and once again we were blown away by the results. Even with a 3-year-old full of energy and an unpredictable newborn, the session was extremely calm and easy, thanks to Jafar's incredible patience with babies. The photos turned out even more beautiful than we expected. They capture the emotions beautifully, and create wonderful family memories for years to come. We highly recommend! I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience we had with Jafar and Nasim at JaNa Photography. They are both incredibly professional and such a joy to work with. My husband is a rock and ice climber and they encouraged us to bring in some of his gear to include in the photographs. I was blown away with how they utilized his climbing rope and gear into the shots in delightfully subtle ways. Jafar is a such a perfectionist and works really hard to make sure he gets the perfect photographs. He was even able to miraculously calm our baby when she started being fussy. It was pure magic! I feel so blessed that we have these photographs of our beautiful baby girl and our family. THANK YOU! Can’t recommend JaNa photography enough!

This was our second time using JaNa for newborn photos and we couldn’t be happier. They are so professional, patient and truly are baby whisperers. You definitely get what you pay for-Ample time to get all the shots, loads of props and we never felt rushed during feeding, changing, or trying to get our toddler to smile. Jaffar is so creative with his styling and had plenty of suggestions for poses for us and even made sure to get the poses we requested. Will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

After following JaNa Photography for years and seeing the amazing work they produced, we were blessed with a studio visit this past week, wow.

We were here for our baby’s 100 day photoshoot last Saturday and I was looking for a studio that was in Burnaby, had great reviews, and prices that would reflect the quality of the photos. I’m so glad we chose JaNa Photography! I was initially bummed out that I had missed the golden window of 2 weeks old for newborn photos, but seeing that they offered a 100 day photoshoot, I decided to book. Email communication was super prompt, and our photographer Mahsa was very kind and gentke during the shoot. Our son was a bit fussy but she made sure he wasn’t rushed, and not forced to do poses he didn’t like. The photos? Even more impressive. I am through the roof looking at the previews and can’t wait for my photos to be done. Thank you for the amazing photos and I hope to be back for other milestones!

We just had our newborn photoshoot at this studio. It was just amazing. The studio was comfortable and cozy. Jafar and his staff had great preparation and took fabulous photos of our newborn and my family. Jafar was great with my baby that there was absolutely no hassle and sessions were smooth. We went for our newborn photoshoot today and the team was amazing! I highly recommend going to this place. The photographer not only takes wonderful photos but he is amazing with babies. I felt my baby was safe and comfortable the whole time. They also have many props and backdrops to choose from!

My husband and I loved working with the team at Jana Photography. I was almost 30 weeks pregnant with twins and they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. They were open to our thoughts and vision and worked with us to make the photoshoot perfect. The photos turned out beautiful and we received many compliments from family and friends. I read the reviews calling the photographer a baby whisperer and the owner claimed the same - I was still skeptical. Believe me when I say that if this guy opens a baby soothing shop it would be top of the line. Baby whispering aside, they were professional and the quality of the pictures that were shown to me were amazing. We should be receiving our pictures in about a week to select the ones we want but I'm very optimistic. This place did a great job for our newborn photos and couldn't recommend them enough, we even got to include our dog in the pictures as well. Amazing experience.

Jana photography is amazing. We arrived a little early for our appointment but they welcomed us into their studio. Jafar did an awesome job in prepping our baby to do his poses. He did an amazing job that our baby cooperated well. Nasim did a great job as well in explaining what is next after the session. We did a shoot with our 6 month old and our 3.5 year old. Mahsa was very friendly and patient with our kids and got them to pose happily for lots of pictures. She took many different angles and styles of pictures as they have lots of sets and props to choose from. We are really happy with our experience and highly recommend Jana photography as well as Mahsa because she is so great with kids and takes beautiful pictures.

Earlier this year my wife and I did a maternity shoot followed several weeks later by the baby shoot with our two week old baby girl. More than a photo shoot experience
I and my husband had a maternity and a baby sessions with Janaphotography, it was much more than just making poses in front of the camera. We had great memories every time we went there by their classy art and professional manners. They are well prepared for every occasions while you are there with your baby. I cannot recommend them enough! I was told about Jana photography from a friend, I saw her photos and loved them. Unfortunately, when I called in Decemeber, JaNa was fully booked but the best xmas gift was they they managed to fit me in. This is all thanks to Mahsa who works in the office and assists the photographers. She is such a patient and kind person, and super well organized. Mahsa answered all of my questions
and sent me all the info I needed from what items to bring to instructions on how to find the building and the free parking.:) Unlike other photography companies, Jana supplies all of the costumes/clothes/props that you could want. They are so creative, and open to your ideas. My maternity photographer was Maryam and she was amazing. I was so nervous and self conscious, but she made me feel so at ease. She took her time, until we got the right shot. I had such a great time, Our newborn photographer was Jafar. He truly is a baby whisperer! My newborn handled the photo shoot better than I did, thanks to Jafar! I still use one of his tricks to this day to calm my baby and help him fall asleep. HUGE HUGE thanks to JaNa Photography, I will be forever grateful for the amazing memories you helped me create.

My wife and I recently did a maternity photo shoot. Despite the fact that COVID-19 restrictions were in place, Nasim and Jafar did an excellent job being warm and inviting. With precautions in place, we were able to enjoy a nice afternoon at Deer Lake park with some of the most amazing photos taken! They were even accommodating enough to allow me to take pictures with my classic car. I would highly recommend JaNa photography to all expectant parents. We worked with Nasim and Jafar for an outdoor maternity photo shoot. They delivered great customer service from my first inquiry phone call until the final delivery of our photos. Nasim gave detailed and thoughtful direction for our photo poses, arm placement, and angles, which made a huge difference in getting flattering photos of us. Jafar was able to frame lots of beautiful shots in the outdoor setting with great lighting and also capturing lots of natural/candid moments of me and my husband and me. We have worked with numerous photographers for other key events and our experience with Nasim and Jafar really stood out as a great experience from start to finish. We would highly recommend them!

We recently had our baby girl's newborn photoshoot with Jana photography. All I can say is they are extremely talented and professional. Jafar is truly a baby whisperer. He was really calm and patient with our baby when she got fussy. He was also very engaging with our toddler who was all over the place. We booked 4 shoots (maternity, newborn, 5 month and one year cake smash) with Jana Photography and each time they exceeded our expectations.

To expand on our point - were away on a trip and the cake shop was closed the day of our baby's 1 year photoshoot, so they went out of their way to pick up our cake for us (@Le Gateau Bakeshop) and keep it in the fridge until the session. What's even more incredible is. I thought I told them I needed them to pick it up for me but honestly do not know what is going on with me but, I did NOT! So the cake shop phoned me 20 mins before closing and Nasim was ON it! She picked it up right away and called me as soon as she had it in her possession. On top of that I was supposed to bring cookies and that morning driving back from Squamish was SO hectic I completely forgot and Nasim ran out and got some. Talk about AMAZING service and really a truly wonderful team to work with.

Now our little munchkin has beautiful pictures and hilarious videos we took behind the scenes. We will cherish these experiences and recommend to anyone that is looking to book a session for themselves and/or their little ones.

We have used JaNa's services for 3 newborn and 1 birthday cake smash session and for all 4 sessions we were so amazed at how well JaNa's staff were with kids. They knew all the tricks to soothe the babies and capture the older kids attention in order to produce beautiful images. JaNa not only took good care of the kids they also were very mindful to ensure we (the parents) were doing well. JaNa produced very different but equally as beautiful images for all the sessions we have had with them. JaNa was very professional and has always gone above and beyond which is why we have gone back numerous times to capture our families memories. We highly recommend their services.

Jafar and Nasim are the best photographer duo in town. We heard about them from word-of-mouth. They were usually busy and we booked well ahead of time for my first son's one-year photoshoot. It turned out they did an amazing job and everyone in the family loved it. We just returned to them for my second boy's 100-day. Once again, they were energetic, professional, and best-in-class. Like I said, make sure you book early to avoid disappointment because they are busy, but once you shoot with them, you know why they are so popular!

We had the most incredible experience with JaNa Photography. We Fell in love with the photos online and knew we had to make the 2.5 hour trip from Whistler to see them. We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised how blown away by the Experience we were. The Couple that runs this is the Kindest most amazing ever. Our newborn photo session with Jana photography was really an amazing experience. They have lots of different outfits and decorations that no matter what you choose are just simply wonderful (in fact, I just like everything!).
