Jane's Place

Efficient and friendly service and satisfying breakfast portion at reasonable price. It would be nice to have a ‘senior’ price, but hey do have smaller portions for those purposes. Service was quick and although the place was very busy, food was good and ok value generally.

Wouldn't recommend this place for lunch hour as we waited to get seats and then for service. There only seemed to be one girl on shift and she was amazing! Did her best!

The food always exceeds expectations. Today fish and chips. Very, very happy the fish was cod. Really good.

Stopped in for lunch today. All the women working here were super friendly and helpful, their teriyaki chicken in a caesar salad or wrap is excellent! Same with the fries. We will be back again, keep up the good work!

The perfect diner experience. Our server, Emily, was so attentive and quite hilarious - she made our day. Generous portions, good prices, nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Food is always top notch, quality never changes and staff is always friendly. Would recommend anytime to anyone

Besides a mall location it's probably the best place for breakfast in salmon arm. Just wish they were open longer through out the day

I had the best eggs benny's ever there. Too bad I don't live close to go often. Stopped in while heading home from MB. Highly recommend! And the staff are super friendly.

Been to Salmon Arm numerous times. Never tried Jane's before. Usually go to the Barley Station (which is superb for food and service!) but they are closed on Mondays which is the day I was in town this time. Jane's offers a pleasant atmosphere in the Piccadilly Mall. Can't say the same for the waitress who had my table; however the hostess was very friendly. I had 1/2 a Farmer's Eggs Benny that came with potatoes. Egg cooked as requested. Felt even as a 1/2 portion, could have been more generous for the price ($10.75). The potatoes were delicious! Crispy and lightly seasoned. My waitress asked if I'd like a refill on my coffee and she never came back. I regret leaving the tip that I did. Not sure if I'd try Jane's again. I'd say for breakfast, this is an ok spot, for anything else, go to the Barley Station instead!

I've walked past Jane's many times and thought "wow, it's pretty busy in there, must be good! " So today I finally decided to try it out.
My server was great, attentive, and kind (my server was a 5 star server, this review does not reflect your staff's abilities, nor does it reflect your cook's abilities to cook the sub-par food you provided them to cook me).

The breakfast was very poor quality. I could tell the hash browns came premade, from a bag in the freezer, deep fried. The bread was thin and also poor quality. The "farmers sausage" was basically a pre-cooked garlic sausage heated up on their flat top grill. The eggs were eggs.
Basically I could tell that all the food comes from Sysco or GFS or some mass supplier, and the price is waaaay to high for such poor quality food.

When my server asked how my meal was.what could I really say but "great" which was of course a lie. I didn't feel that telling your serving staff directly about my complaints would be very respectful, and I didn't expect a refund or discount, so I kindly paid my bill and left.

How to improve:
Take Bon's off Broadway in Vancouver as an example. Their breakfast special costs $2.95 when you buy it with a coffee. All together it totals up to $4.20 for your breakfast + coffee. They make their hash browns from scratch there, from whole potatoes, and their breakfast special includes sausage. Why I am saying this is because for 12.95 you should be actually cooking food, not just reheating food you bought from a supplier. At the very least you should start making your own hash browns and the food quality would be SO much better and worth coming.

Kind of a shame as there are very few breakfast restaurants here in Salmon Arm.

Good food but can't say the same about their coffee cups. Took a few drinks and looked in my cup.
I took my fingernail and scratched the inside.

Both cups were like that.
The waitress says to me that they are stained and need to be bleached. That is NOT stained that is not cleaned properly and if you know that.
Why the heck would you give them to customers!

The food was absolutely terrible. 0 flavouring. Staff was okay. No idea how this place is rated somewhat high. I would recommend going literally anywhere else.

Was passing through Salmon Arm and looking for a place for sit down breakfast. Luckily a man in walmart recommended this restaurant. The server was friendly and attentive. We both had the meat lovers and was impressed with the portion size and price was decent. Would definately recomend and will return on any other pass throughs of town.

Had a great lunch. Server was awesome. Brought crayons and a picture for the child who was with us, and treated her like gold. Food was pretty good.

This is my family's favorite restaurant in town. Best servers I've ever had and always delicious food. The breakfast special is incredible!

Food is always great! Loved their (Lumber) Jack soup! Large portions and good service. Always a favorite place for lunch.

My wife and I stop in last Tuesday to have lunch with a couple of friends that live in Salmon Arm lunch was ok the problem is when I checked my visa bill I was charged twice for the meals, for two days I have been trying to get them too credit my visa but the owner doesn't have time and won't talk to me or return my calls.

Delicious food and great people there. I had half spinach salad and is amazing and comes with garlic bread and goid price

The food was okay and so was the service. Everything was fine until we saw the cook putting food in the buffet trays with her bare hands. Then when I mentioned it to the server I got a handful of excuses as to why she did that

This is an old fashioned family type restaurant. It reminds me of what all restaurants use to be like. Friendly staff, good food and very good prices.

Consistently delicious homestyle food. Flavoured coffee creamers. Great service, good place for families. Breakfast special is amazing.
