Jang Mo Jib Korean Restaurant

Food was ok but had better. Don't come hungry, you'll be waiting 30 minutes for food. It'll take forever to get the server's attention and they have a clear preference for customers. Don't bother using the button at the table because they don't come. Other tables that arrived after us got their food before we did. I wouldn't come again unless I was the only person in the restaurant, but I'm sure it will still be a long wait.

I don't know the taste of the food. The table and spoon were so dirty. The inside of the restaurant was so dark and dirty. I felt sorry for the young people who were eating. The restaurant shouldn't be like this.

Super busy place, we had to wait for a while to get our seats and even after we sat down we found ourselves yelling at each other because there was a group of 30 on the super long table by the wall, there really should be a wall to divide from the rest so we can actually enjoy our meals, food was delicious tho!

The food just tastes like oil and hot pepper. The seafood-no-seafood pancake come was burnt and soaked in the oil. No water was serviced.

Poor service. Waited for 20+ minutes before a server came, even though other tables who requested service with their call button were waited on right away. Server who took our payments was also very rude and gave us attitude when we asked to split the bill. We were charged 18% gratuity for a group of 6, which is standard as we are a larger group.but the actual service we received was terrible. Would have tipped $0 if we came as a smaller party.

Great Korean restaurant! Shoutout to the servers - there was a young lady who served us who was very warm and friendly and happily offered us extra side dishes. We ordered the Korean hot pot as our main - it was fantastic and just enough for the two of us, making it a great value! Also enjoyed the homely atmosphere in the restaurant.

The food was decent. They have a lovely decor though and the patio is a lovely view especially at nighttime

This is a great place to come with friends and family. One of the very authentic Korean food you can find in the city. One of the best pork bone hot pot soup you can find in town. The food is great and the service is always good！

Service is also exceptional. Spicy chiken is really spicy. So beware:) i have low tolerance for spicy.

This restaurant represents what it means to truly value customer service and customer experiences. Every staff member at this location is so kind, thoughtful, and professional. You truly feel like you are being taken care of when you eat here. Well done to everyone who works here, especially the servers and manager who has obviously prioritized the experiences of guests. The food is delicious and super filling. Food also arrived very quickly even though the restaurant was packed. Very well-run place.

Delicious food and service, a staple of Korean food since i've been young. I recommend the mandu and cold noodles!

Ordered Bibimbap.it was TINY.
Hello Jang Mo Jib, Bibimbap is not some delicacy like sushi.it is not supposed to be tiny because it is so special.
You need to double this size, it's a joke to be so cheap.

Great food specially the seafood pancake and awesome staff. Kudos to nathan for the impeccable service. Highly recommended.

À peine arrivées, nous avions envie de manger coréen et on est tombée sur Jang Mo Jib par hasard. Beau décor exterieur et intérieur, Nathan nous a servi avec beaucoup de gentillesse et le Naeng Myun était délicieux.
And because I watch Kdramas, I knew what to do with the scissors

The food is good! Staff is nice and friendly, prices a bit higher than average. Also open when other Korean places are closed, so good for them! The small free dishes with kimchi and all are great!

My brother and sister-in-law suggested this place for dinner while my husband and I were in town for our honeymoon. The four of us went for dinner and everything was top notch. The service was fantastic, the food of course was incredibly delicious and the atmosphere very enjoyable. We were there a few hours and left full, happy and excited to go back again to try more of the fantastic food! Would definitely recommend to anyone living in or visiting Vancouver! Thank you for a great dining experience!

J'ai adoré mon expérience Coréen au restaurant Jang Mo Jib Korean Restaurant! Le serveur Nathan était très amicale et nous a donner un excellent service! Le restaurant est un mixte de tradition Coréenne et art contemporain. Le menu est très appétissant! Je conseil fortement de venir ici, si vous faite passage à Vancouver!

Delicious and very authentic Korean we loved everything we ordered; ribs, pancake, chicken fondue, mandu. Kimchi was also very yummy. Will be back!

Called to this restaurant to make reservation 12 people yesterday on August 5th 2021 noon, the guy picked up the phone and said no, can not, I'm busy sorry. So we decided to come and so surprise the restaurant was pretty empty. And the guy asked me to wait for 15 minutes (he knew I was the one who called him). Then he is busy assisting 2 couple that came after we arrived. More than 15 minutes we were waiting (12 people), and this wonderful guy is simple ignoring us on purpose. Owner must know about this! Restaurant will go bankrupt by having employee like him. Then we decided to have lunch at Tabom. More busy, and server let us sit right away with good friendly manner.
Too bad, Jang Mo Jib. Please train your staff first. No matter how delicious is the food, if the service is bad, customer will go away.

We Had a shared hotpot with korean fried chicken.hotpot was too salty makes me too thirsty.and fried chicken sauce was good but the actual chicken had a weird taste of old chicken.left most of it.

I had dinner with my friend around 9pm at this restaurant. Food was good but the customer service was worse.
We wanted to top up kimchi and ordered extra dishes so we tried to wave the staff there, but every one seemed like they tried to ignore us. They gathered to clean the table after the customers left. We were waving them many times for over 15 minutes. The restaurant was not busy at that time. Then, finally, a girl saw us waving while she was assisting customers paying their bill because we sat nearby the counter. Seeing us waving she nodded her head and asked us to wait for her. After she had done with those customers she went inside and continued to clean up the other tables and let’s us wait once more time, she totally ignored us on purpose. When she came out and we did not want to order new dishes any more so we just asked to top up kimchi only, our food was already cold.
I empathized that at that time all staff were tired but their attitudes and customer services were totally unacceptable. We never want to come back here again!

Really amazing food! We ordered the iron wok chicken BBQ and the beef B. B. Q. Highly recommend both. Service and ambience were highly energetic and fun.

Best gam-ja-tang in town. Also referred to as pork bone soup. Service was good! I recommend to friends.

Regularly enjoy coming here for a quick bite to eat. I've also tried their lunch set which is quite good with lots of variety.

After 2019 new year fireworks, we ordered food at 12: 30 A. M and the restaurant was super busy. The menu is so looooong! So, you'd better ask the server to help you on choosing the right food.
At the end, you will not regret ordering its Gyoza. All the food is high-quality and you'll enjoy the unique atmosphere as well!
