Jang Mo Jib Metrotown

OPEN till late (1 am), good for big groups and lots of parking in their own parking lot.

Food is okay but to find places that are open super late it’s pretty hard haha. Service is average, you’ll need to call them over if you need refills etc, they don’t usually check in.

Food we usually get:
• Dak-galbi (chicken grill plate with cheese, egg and corn) the corn isn’t sweet fyi but this is a great sharing platter~ I believe it comes with rice for everyone? You can choose the spiciness level by the way!
• you get your usual Korean side dishes (they have kimchi, radish, bean sprouts, and sweet potato)
• Yam yeong chicken (Korean sweet and spicy sauce) - not the best fry but they do try to season their meat (you can see it when you take a bite and look at the meat hehe) okay amount of meat!
• bulgogi beef - it was dry
• Ssuk uh soon doo boo (supposed to be seafood soft tofu soup in hot pot.um didn’t really have the beef and clams that they have in their menu pictures. There was one shrimp.
• mok Sal (pork neck meat) this was good, standard

I've been getting takeout from here for awhile and I really like their Doenjang Sundubu. The thing is the portions have been getting smaller and smaller.
I didn't even get a full bowl of rice with my order, it came in a small side container thats much smaller than the rice container i usually get and the container of soup is only half full.
When I first ordered from here I got a full container of soup and a full portion of rice. I've slowly been noticing less and less soup in the container and now this is ridiculous.
I absolutely love the soup from this place but if I'm paying almost $15 for it and I don't even get half a container of soup or a full portion of rice, c'mon.
Unfortunately, this is the last time I'll be ordering from here because they're skimping so much on their portions and I can't justify paying this much for half a container of soup and a 'side' order of rice.

The food was delicious and the portion of the Japchae was generous the plate actually really big easily perfect for 3 people. I really enjoyed the food a lot it was the only restaurant that opens late until 1AM definitely will come back again.

Solid late night munch. I went here when I was still a Vegetarian. Severely lacking vegetarian options, but the one option D1 Busat Soon Doo Boo was a tofu hotpot dish that was pretty okay. Not too expensive either, it was $14. Kimchi side was wonderful.

Overall an alright experience, and a nice low-key place to go to late night. However, I would personally only go here in a pinch since it's open late.

The Gamja-tang is consistently delicious, and their kimchi is amazing. If you're a dumpling fan, try the Dduk Mandu Guk and Gun-mandu which are amazing as well.

Yummy Korean comfort food… their bossam and cold noodles (which isn’t in the photo) is my favorite! Been coming here for a while with fam and hope it never closes!

Homey Korean restaurant. Authentic and delicious! Services were great, they kept asking if we want more sides. Highly recommended

This place has one of the best authentic Korean food. It’s a family run business and the service is great. I would recommend it.

Very good Korean dishes at a reasonable price with good value. We ordered the combo which had 4 items.

I ordered pickup from here with the Uber eats app, cancelled immediately within 30 seconds due to wrong location, Uber confirmed cancellation (all within a minute) then I proceeded to order from the downtown location. The cancellation was confirmed in the app at 7: 30pm, then the next morning at 6am Uber said the restaurant put the charge through. I had to fight for a refund. Not cool.

They have the best galbi tang, it’s so flavorful. Great dish to have on the cold days. It’s a nice hot soup and you have lots of side dishes as well. Also give their japchae a try it’s super flavorful too!

Their portion is big and price is very reasonable. It's one of my fav Korean places, taste is very good and comforting, it truely feels like you are going to your grandma's house and she tries to feed you well

Food is great but 2/5 stars for management because customer service is not as good anymore when I came for dinner today and also the last few times I was there last month. They seat you in so quick but takes so long to take your order. They don’t have enough staff and too many people eating there it was so busy the 3 poor servers I saw tonight seemed tired and over worked. They don’t even come back to check on you once the food is delivered. I paid for tip, but I wasn’t happy about it.

You must be kidding me. The Haemul Sundubu and Kimchi Sundubu soup that I ordered from their UberEats platform was only 1/3 full. The soup cost around $15 each. I can’t believe one of the better Korean restaurants like Jan Mo Jib have no quality control and tries rip off their customers.

The restaurant is homey, the staff are super friendly and the food was really good. Their banchan’s are soso good. I loved the spicy radish and the kimchi.

Excellent food BBQ beef, noodles hot rice bowl and the seafood pancake so good Service was great friendly and food came relatively fast. Went mid week got busy after 7: 00pm

Great service but honestly. TERRIBLE Korean food. Not sure if I would call it authentic. The servers are all Korean but its very questionable if the chefs are Korean, they may be Chinese. Very obvious that its Korean food targeted for Chinese customers, and everything seems overpriced for the quality of the food that they put on the table. Sorry but DEFINITELY will not be coming back.

Have eaten here a few times now, and we LOVE it! The prices are good, food is good, service is good. Definitely will eat here again and would recommend it.

A great place to have Korean food with large groups of friends. They have the famous cheese, corn and egg hot plates with your choice of meat, give them a try here it’s not so bad! They are quite pricey, though, that’s why it’s a better option to come in a group.

We've been coming here a lot for awhile now and we've always been super delighted with the food and service. One consistent server who brings a bright smile to our nights is Austin, who goes above and beyond.

Very authentic Korean restaurant. There are many Korean restaurants around this area. This is one of my favorites. They have a good selection of lunch specials. For dinner, I like their pork bone soup combos. It's a hearty family meal. This is not one of those on the table BBQ place, which I don't actually like.

Food is good, service is bad. No refill side dishes, rush me to leave like throwing the bill on the table i don’t ask for yet. I just want to enjoy my meal for the love of god! I really want to give no tips: (

I was here with 3 other people last Sunday (March 31st) and we ordered Mandu Jeongol $30.88 (Dumplings hot pot) to share. It was big enough for us to eat. Meat tasted good, but the dish was just average. The dish itself tasted kinds sweet like Bulgogi.

Banchan (=sidedish) consisted of Kimchi, potato, spicy radish (Kkakdoogi) and beansprouts; Kimchi didn't taste good though. Service was slow. I could've gone to much better Korean restaurant, but a friend wanted to go and I couldn't turn her down.

We had another friend C to join us while 3 of us ate; staff took so long to bring her water. We had to wave at staff few times to get her attention. Nothing good to write about. Food was alright so I'm giving 2 stars.

Really good Korean restaurant right here. Their dishes are amazing, their bulgogi is very delicious. The kimchi and the complementary food that comes with your entree are amazing here. Not too busy. Good service. Would recommend to others.

Food was just ok. Very pricey for the food they serve. Portion wise, it’s just too skimpy. Definitely will not go back.

It’s ok here. Customer service wasn’t really kind and got our bill mixed up more than once.spent 20 more minutes trying to figure out what wasn’t paid for even though we all had our receipts.

Staff chatting each other, wait for 15mins to order. I am the one customer at that time.
And they set up 12%_ 20% tip on machine mandatory.

A little expensive but still pretty good. They also have a location downtown, which is quite convenient to walk to from waterfront.
