Really nice portions, lots of fillings and food is made quickly. The staff are all really nice and they have a water dispenser and cups for free. Also it’s right across from the bus loop so it’s really easy to grab something before a lecture or study session.
But they raised their prices by a few dollars so it’s not as affordable or convenient as before. Now one roll comes out to almost $20 when it used to be around $16 after tips.

The only reason I gave them one star because I cannot give them zero. I ordered food delivery when my delivery are picking up the order, they close before he arrived without any notice or communication.

I keep coming back here because their food used to be so great but the quality has gone down significantly. It made me sick the last time around…

Mediocre food at best. Honestly makes you feel kind of sick and the worst service I’ve ever got in my life. I am not expecting 5 star service but being a little nice goes a long way

Big portions. Seasoned slightly differently than standard Japanese, as you’d expect from a quirky novelty type of restaurant. Everyone’s dishes were “fine”.

Fresh ingredients and very tasty! Portions are very filling as well. I especially enjoyed their takoyaki.

It's ok.burrito has gotten smaller in circumference versus before when they started their business.you get more value from going to Quesada and probably more raw fish from the other sushi place

Just ok. Fresh and tasty ingredients but not wrapped like a burrito. Make sure to get a fork to scoop up the rest. Probably wouldn’t return.

Interesting burrito sushi, large rolls were quite tasty and packed with delicious ingredients. A bit of a struggle to consume but was quite delicious nonetheless.

Nearly empty at 3pm in the afternoon (albeit on a very chilly day) I wasn't sure to expect- But they served me a generously sized burrito and fresh ingredients. Tried the Fire Ninja and it was great! Family run is an extra plus!

Dishes seems to be a bit expensive, but it is worth it! They serve dishes with very valuable and fresh ingredient. Especially, beef and salmon food are great! But I'd like to ask to wrap it a bit more tightly. It often became loose during eating so I dropped tasty content on the ground easily.

The ingredients tasted good but the structural integrity and ergonmics of the wrap were poor service

I have ordered the Ocean mama from here before so I know what it's supposed to taste like. Today I ordered from here and the salmon tasted slimy and felt slimy. I look at the salmon and it's very dark and even kind of gray. I called the store explaining the situation and they tell me this salmon is supposedly better than their regular salmon and that if I have any problems, they'll complain to their supplier, rather than take on any responsibilities themselves. I don't think slimy and dark colored salmon is supposed to be fresh and better quality. After eating half of the roll, I felt nauseous and threw the rest away. This place needs a health inspection.

The food itself is good and generous.
But I wish they let you have an option to not have wasabi mayo in the rolls.
I cant handle much spice so I only ended up eating half of it

The food is so delicious! I tried the fire ninja japarrito and it was soo good. It was fresh, sweet and spicy and also had some crunch. There was more filling then I expected and I was super full afterwards. I will definitely be back for more! The owner was very nice and it seemed like a sweet family operated place.

The sushi burritos here are delicious and the portion size is generous. The wrapping of the seaweed has become a bit sloppy recently but everything else is still great. The karaage is juicy and crispy. I keep coming back again and again. It's that good!

Nice food.
BUT if you order it on DoorDash, there is 30% chance the dashers claim their cars broke down after they picked up the food.
I wonder if the road in that area is extra bumpy.

With the Sumo Crunch you get 4 big pieces of prawn tempura packed into the roll with crab, mayo, cucumber, mango and spicy mayo. Very yummy and a LOT for 11.99.

Solid sushi rolls (california and bc roll [not that much meat but nice and crispy]) ; 1 portion is pretty filling for 7 bucks.

I've had Japarrito sushi-burritos twice and can confirm that they are fantastic. The taste is great, the ingredients are decent, and the portion sizes are quite generous. I don't even go to SFU but I would go out of my way (as I have done in writing this review haha) to try one.

Best Japanese food on campus! After changing into a japparitto all of their food have increased in quality. Their sushi combos and entrees are fair priced and they give you ALOT of food. I find that their sushi here is cheaper and bigger in portion than Togo sushi across the street. For 10$ I ordered the chicken teriyaki entree, and it was a ton of food and totally worth it! Even came with miso soup. Don't sleep on this place.

Hainan chicken set was wonderful.chicken was very tender.didn't expect, even Laicha.iced tea was really good.must try~~~

WOW! Very impressed. First time trying this place and I ordered a Ocean Mama sushi burrito. It was amazingly good and would definitively go there again.

This place is much better than it looks from the outside. Their food is so good. I believe they changed a chef.

Sushi burritos, sushi combos and the sashimi rice bowls are the best. My new go to place for food at SFU.

2) I ordered the sushi combo #8 (cali roll, yam roll, and fire roll). The rolls are delicious! Everything was very fresh.
3) Everything is so overpriced at SFU. It is so nice to find affordable and tasty sushi on campus. $9.99 for three rolls is such a good price!

Very nice quality of the salmon and the customer service was also very good. I’ve tried a lot of sushi places before but I definitely recommend this place.

Ordered a spicy salmon bowl, but got a non-spicy salmon bowl. How sweet! The rice was uncooked or kind of hard and dry. They added green bell peppers in the bowl, it’s a weird combination. The salmon wasn’t fresh. The miso soup tasted like pees. Threw it away immediately.
If want a decent salmon/tuna/poke bowl, just go to STEVE poke.
Not recommended this place at all.
