It took me a while to write this review as not all my experience with JP Hyundai has been bad. I wanna be as brief as possible if I can to narrow down. I have been a customer since 2016 when I decided to purchase a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe best car ever no issues since day 1 wonderful car. Since it was a 6 seater I needed a 7 seater do to family growing so 2020 I decide to purchase the new 2020 palisade beautiful car in and out but unfortunately ever since the change I have spent literally majority of time at dealer then enjoying the car.
First issue faulty engine not even having the car months (keep in mind brand new car), before they can do anything they need to open a case look into it and see how much oil it is consuming so I was in and out of their office weekly until this could be looked into. They figured that car was In fact burning oil so they ordered the engine and I was given a car to use until engine came and gets replaced took approximately 1month to get my car back. I never in e made a huge deal, all their employees were so wonderful very helpful, understanding and made my experience great.
Since then everyone there is new which now makes sense on what a horrible experience I had in my most recent visits, the car just recently keeps showing the engine light, 1st time it happened I called brought in and apparently was fixed, on my day off recently before Christmas engine light came on again, since they leave appointments until a month away I decided to bring in the “service manager” Zaid I believe that’s what his name is has got to be the most careless person there I’m explaining situation and how I needed car looked at or atleast be reassured I could drive as I needed to pick up my kids from school all he kept repeating is we will try our best but can’t guarantee anything. The service supervisor Raymond instead of hearing me out quickly assumed I was asking for special treatment according to him (he was sitting in the back watching Zaid go back and forth with me) little did I know he was supervisor, in the end I ended up in tears.till today I am waiting on a follow call as engine light is still on called yesterday today and my number taken down with no follow up call to atleast give me updates. Horrible service.

Picked up my new vehicle this week from Jim Pattison Hyundai. The team was amazing and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience while buying a vehicle.

My 2013 Hyundai Veloster was repaired at JP Hyundai Surrey after experiencing engine failure due to pre-ignition damage. The service manager, Allan, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist me with my appeal to Hyundai Canada to repair the engine. He also arranged for a rental car for the latter half of the 10 month repair process, which was greatly appreciated, especially since I’d just had a newborn baby!

When the vehicle was ready for pick up, I was disappointed to discover that one of the 4 coils in my car burned out during the drive home from the dealer, causing the check engine light to come on again. While the new service manager, Raymond, did replace the coil at no cost, it seems that only the bare minimum parts were replaced, leaving me with some concerns about potential future issues with my car. Furthermore, the battery had corrosion and swelling, which was not addressed by the technicians causing my family to be stranded twice over a long weekend, requiring jump starts from strangers.

Despite these issues, I would still recommend this location!

Overall, I am satisfied with the repair and the excellent customer service provided by both Allan and the new service manager, Raymond. Allan's efforts to help with my appeal and the rental car arrangements were greatly appreciated and made a difficult situation SO MUCH easier to handle.

After browsing the internet, I was surprised to see these guys had 5 Ioniq EVs in stock. I reached out via their chat and was told it ‘was best to talk to a salesperson’. I made the long drive to the dealership from white rock with my family in tow. I show up and asked the only salesperson on duty about the cars. Without a direct answer, he proceeds to sit us down and gets to know us. Then reveals that none of the cars on the site are available.
So I get it now. This is a clear reminder of how slippery the car industry will go to get you in the door. Hugely disappointing experience. Not sure why these guys think this is good business. Won’t touch these guys with a ten foot pole now or ever.

Great sales but very disappointing service department. Can never reach a living person on a phone and don’t bother leaving a message as they may or may not return your call. I even emailed the GM (Chris) to complain about the lack of service and he did not even feel that we were deserving of a reply. Again, sales team, the vehicle’s are fantastic but really consider having your service done elsewhere.

Not happy. Though I have had many small issues with my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Plug In this one is really inconvenient. I have gotten a nail in my tire that can’t be patched & Hyundai can’t replace it for 2 weeks. And is unable or willing to help me with a loaner vehicle until the appointment. So now I have a car I can’t drive to work or to bring my kid to school. This is my first time owning a Hyundai and so far, not thrilled.

One day, the battery warning light was flashing so I brought my car to nearest auto mechanic. He checked the car and told me that the engine oil leaked which made the alternator break.
He also told me that it is a recall issue and to bring my car to Hyundai service.
Therefore, I bought the car to the Hyundai service centre right away.
The good thing was that it was repaired quickly and kindly. At that point, I was more than happy to rate 5 stars.
However, when I went back to pick up my car, they said that my alternator has been checked and is still working. But unlike what they told me; the red warming light was still flashing.
Furthermore, after a few hours, every warning lights were flashing, and my car shook badly and suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.
I called the towing services and waited for more than an hour.
The towing service worker came and checked the battery and alternator.
He also told me that the alternator is broken.
This happened at night, so I left my car and key with a letter at the Hyundai service centre.
I got an answer from them the next day and was told that they have only fixed the recall issue.
One of my friends had this same problem and she got very good customer service at the Port Coquitlam Hyundai service centre.
They offered a reimbursement for the towing fee and replaced every part of which was damaged because of the engine oil leak.
I explained this to the worker of Hyundai service centre in my location, and finally had the alternator replaced.
I'm still asking for the towing expense and haven’t received a response from them yet.
If you were in my shoes, how many stars would you rate?

Has to be the worst customer service I have ever had. Tried to buy a truck said that it could be going to auction I said okay let me know I will buy it THEN next day I ask if I can go ahead and buy it the only text I get back is truck is gone. SO Then after two days I decide maybe they will have the auction details of where it goes he says he will give tomorrow.tomorrow comes no reply I ask again all he says. I have no info on the truck, so why is it that a dealership is so engaged with its customers when they are ready to spend money etc but don’t give a care at all to help a potential customer out, this place will not care about you and the lines of communication are terrible even trying to get ahold of them someone’s always to busy. Oh well I’ll find something else

I recently had my cat stolen from my car. I called JP Hyundia in Surrey and spoke to a most amazing service technician (Ryan) about my issue. We had the car towed And Ryan (service tech) called me and had my icbc estimate done in a few hours. He went above what most service personnel would do, in my opinion he looked out for my car as if it was very own.
The technicians in the shop and in service had my best interest in hand, Ryan lobbied for ICBC to get new parts. As promised he had it ready a day earlier than expected.

I had another issue which I don’t believe is related to this but Ryan took care of it right away be it minor He looked after it as if it was his own vehicle.
Your service manager should be aware of the fine job that you do for your customers also the management you should also recognized you for your skills and your abilities to make things correct for your customer. This is why I buy all my cars from Jim Pattison Hyundai in Surrey.
“Sam” you have a rockstar on your team. I also think the service manager should give Ryan an award for his dedication and customer service beyond what I ever expected. So Ryan I thank you so very much for your kind and thoughtfulness in fixing my car.

I have nothing but great things to say about this dealership specifically Wajdi who went above and beyond to help me and do what he could to get me the car I wanted, while still not being pushy at all. He was amazing and of all the dealerships I dealt with during my search for a car, this was by far the best experience.

While I did not end up getting a Hyundai vehicle I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this dealership to anybody. 5+ stars!

I went to the service department regarding my car’s engine recall and it was a nightmare. The were rude plus not helpful at all. I had to go through a lot because of them. My friend had the same problem and he went to open road hyundai richmond and he’s problems were solved nicely and he was also treated nicely. I wish I would’ve never been to this place. Never returning to this place again tho!

I got car from this dealer which I am happy with. Wajdi helped me look at different options as I wasn't sure what to buy. He was sensitive to my time and aware of my priorities when it comes to car options. Samer also did a great job with the financing. I ended up getting a sweet deal on a pre-owned SUV. Highly recommend them.
Also after using their service for years now, their service and customer service are awesome.

I don't even want to give one star. It will be minus star for us. I would like to share my experience with them.
I wouldn't recommend for this dealership for God's Sake. Don't get me wrong. Me and my husband are the Huge Hyundai's fan. We bought 3 cars from this place. The first two were great. As we bought the brand new cars so we didn't have any problems with that. In 2020 July, we were thinking of getting a small car so we looked at on their website. They had 2017 Hyundai Accent (certified preowned by Hyundai) and we bought it. Now we are thinking of reselling and found out the car had the previous accident record in March 2020 which we didn't know / never been told by the salesmen from dealership. Currently, My car worths about 12K as per Auto Trader and because of this accident they reduced to 9K the most. We had a great shock by this unprofessional dishonesty from the dealership. So we went to the dealership yesterday and the salesmen said he can only offer 7000-8000 the most and asked me sell at auto trader. He didn't even mention the ICBC record of accident at all. When I asked about the accident, he was saying that someone had told you for sure when you buy it. Trying to playing dump to us. I even brought my sales contract and showing to him. Really shocking of his customer service and treated badly. He said he will call back today and never DID. I am very disappointed and would like to address to GM. He should have known how the salesman works very badly or do they approve this kind of horrible manner toward the loyal customer like us? Because I trusted this dealership, I came back and give you the business, and they cheated / hided on us without telling the accident. Now that We'd learned our big lesson. NEVER PUT ON TRUST EVEN THEY ARE THE BIG DEALERSHIP. PLEASE DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

This service department is first class. Recently had a scare with our Sonata so we sent the car in for an immediate inspection. Upon arrival we met Raymond, he was confident and gave us reassurance that we would be taken care of. The following day we were contacted by Allan, he was very prompt with communication and fair when it came identifying the issues as well as agreement on cost. To be honest we were concerned about the product quality when this issue first happened as we were considering the purchase of a second Hyundai but Allan and his service team have restored our faith in the brand and kept us loyal. This is the way to retain business. Thanks again Allan and Raymond for the amazing service.

I've purchased my last 3 vehicles from JP Surrey and each experience is top notch. My most recent purchase was a 22 sonata n line that had a factory order, chip shortage, and it arrived a good month before I expected. Hyundai has been a great company, love their cars and Jp Surrey has been been more like a family than a dealership. Service dept is also a class act, I get all my required services done here. Highly recommended dealership, great sales staff and go see Sam for that financing!

I bought my last two cars at JP Hyundai Surrey. My latest purchase was a 2019 Kona EV Ultimate. I couldn’t be happier with the car itself and the outstanding service, support and follow-up the dealership has provided in the past three years. Sam Abunnadi is the Finance Manager who put both of my purchases together. Sam is both professional and personable and continues to be supportive to the day. Alan Yu is the Service Manager and the “go to guy” wherever I have questions or maintenance issues. Alan is both attentive and efficant… he takes the stress out of any car worries I’ve had. Truly the best dealership I’ve dealt with. 5/Stars and beyond!

A year ago if would ask me about Surrey Hyundai I would say that they’re amazing and you would be treated so well here. Now however I find Surrey Hyundai dishonest and will cheat you! I recently had to trade my vehicle in. They offered me A low offer on my vehicle and told me that the offer was low because they can’t get too much for my vehicle and that it had high km. Me being curious I checked to see what they’re offering my vehicle for. First they use the fact that my car has low km as a selling point and is selling it for $3000 more than what they said they would ever be able to sell it for! I have never been so disappointed on how I was treated and they will never get my business again. I will drive to another town to take my vehicle to be serviced. And anyone who asks me for a recommendation I will tell them how horrible they are and how they will try to Cheat them!

I would give them a rating below 1 star even in minus if I can. I had a really disappointed experience at the service department just today. First of all if you got a complaint for service on Saturday you have to wait until Monday. Because the service department manager only work from Monday to Friday. Is this a joke the biggest name in Canada Jim Pattison doesn't have anyone to file complaints on Saturday. You have to wait because you are not important enough for them at all. I would not recommend anbody to in Guilford Surrey Jim Pattison due to there bad, rude, inexperienced and very below expectations behavior and dealing. Rather go to some other location. It's not the first time they are having these complaints and I don't think so they got any responsible person to talk to who can take care of these complaints.

Came here to look at a 2013 mazda3 and the driver side windshield wiper blade just fell off in the middle of the test drive while I was getting off the highway. Snow all over the road and it just stopped raining for the day. Simplest work to do on a car right after topping off your wiper fluid, there's no reason for this to happen with trained mechanics doing their jobs servicing these things before they get put on the road.

I brought my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe in for a recall on a badly leaking valve cover. It took all day but I was relieved they replaced the alternator with the gasket. By the time I made it home I realized the bumper was sticking out on both sides. The technician did not replace the screws he took out in the wheel well that hold the bumper on and one of the clips had broken. Not to mention he didn't return the wiring to its rightful clip and just zap-strapped it to something. After a few days I've noticed the oil leak is actually much worse then before and the alternator is saturated once again in oil and my engine seems to be knocking a bit as well. I reached out to them and let them know what had happened they told me someone would contact me but and that never happened I was polite and patient throughout this infuriating interaction I used to be proud to tell people my grandfather use to sell cars with Jimmy Pattison but I'm not so sure anymore.

I had the first service of my palisade and they did a horrible job of cleaning the car from within. The doors from within, shoe marks on the driver’s seat behind were not even touched and the third row/trunk were not touched either. It was visibly very dirty and still is after I paid 150 for the first service.

I planned buying a Hyundai Sonata but out of excitement end up getting an SUV Hyundai Tucson. Im waiting 4 hr to replace my steering wheel under warranty. They have unprofessional technicians after replace the steering wheel no steering wheel mounted switch is working. Also there is uneven gap between airbags and steering. No body check after installations i have really bad experience. Plz check ur car or suv when u leave.

I’ll preface this by stating that I did not end up buying a vehicle here, but, only because there was no immediate availability of any of the vehicles I wanted (all EVs), and I wanted to make a deal before the Christmas season. If there was stock, I’d have a Hyundai EV right now.

These guys were great to deal with! Eric “Shrambo” Schram, and sales manager Regen were the best guys I’ve dealt with in a potential new vehicle purchase, something I’ve been involved in 7 times over the last six years (I’ve been too impulsive and foolish!). They were patient, extremely helpful trying to find me a vehicle, and went out of their way to hold & secure an incoming 2020 Ioniq. There was also not a lot of back & forth trying to make a deal, as they were reasonable right off the bat with very good potential deals. In a couple of years (I hope I last that long!) I’ll be sure to check back to see if either of these guys is still there; I won’t hesitate to make it my first stop in my next new vehicle purchase if either Eric or Regen are there.

Amazing experience dealing with the Jim Pattison team.
This has been the best purchase experience for my wife and I.
Everything was transparent, all the financing and warranty plans were explained thoroughly and made it easy for me to make a decision on the options.
The sales advisor also took a great deal to explain all the features for the car.

I recently bought a brand new Kona from this dealership. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I just want to thank Salesman Eric Schramm, Sales Manager Regan Judd, and Finance Manager Sam for showing me that there are honest sales people and It amazes me how they went way beyond the call of duty to make things work for me even though not so much for them. I had been to several dealerships and I am truly glad that I stop by here because you just don't get this type of care and honesty anymore. This is the way it should be especially when making a big ticket item. I can't say it enough (HONESTY). Thanks again you guys.

Different price at the time of delivery than what was quoted and finalized. They tried to change my monthly requested payments to bi-weekly making it look like its the same what was quoted. You people are fraud. After reviewing comments from other users, I am certain to take it up with Hyundai Canada. I am glad I did not sign the papers and moved to another dealership.

Horrible, gf's. Appointment was for 130pm, we were advised that it would be done by 3pm. We didn't get our car until 430pm.

We came back at 3pm and then we were told it should be done "soon". But we waited 1 1/2 hours. They had our phone number, they could have called and advised it will take a lot longer. We would have stated at Guildford mall or something. Or better yet offer us a courtesy ride home (I live about a less than 10min drive).

So whenever you come here, just make sure you do not have a lot of things to do since this place tends to run 30min to 1 1/2 hour late.

Not impressed, definitely will not be purchasing my future car from here.

The service department is fantastic. My vehicle had a warranty issue that meant they had to keep it for a week. I was contacted everyday and kept up to date with the progress. I really appreciated being kept in the loop!

Its a great experience with how JP hyundai doing business, trustworthy and quick respond if you have any service queries. Professionalism, expertise and excellent service by Allan Yiu and his team, made every visit comfortable. I highly recommend this company.

Although under construction there will still options to sit while service was occurring. In addition other JP dealers waiting rooms were available nearby. Service was quick enough and the experience overall was good given circumstances.

Wheels was having bolt lock
I went there to have the key to unlock them

Guy at the parts told me to buy the set
never mentioned that bolt unlock key is same for new ones and previous bolts

They remove the previous bolts put the new ones on which has same lock pattern, charge $89
Lock set $50 + unnecessary labour charges

The service manager Allan and the rest of the staff here are amazing. They have gone above and beyond to help me, from when I bought my car new, to all the years of maintainence. I was very concerned abt my vechicle and felt it was not safe. The Surrey location in Fleetwood, at the Auto mall was amazing. They got me in right away and the same day. The person at desk was very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what my issue was. I would definitely recommend them. Excellent Customer Service.

I have been dealing with Alan in the service dept for over 5 years. Every time I find he goes above and beyond and always makes sure that we leave happy and satisfied. I would recommend seeing Alan in the service dept he will take care off you! Bravo again Alan, 5 stars!
