The team at Jim Pattison Subaru are brilliant.professional.made very welcome.and the process of buying our new Outback Wilderness was very straightforward and uncomplicated.we waited a few months for the vehicle to be built and JP Subaru kept us up to date with the build in Japan and its journey to Vancouver.
All in all a really good experience.and we would highly recommend Jim Pattison Subaru to our friends.in fact we already have done.

Called this dealership for a new set of keys since I lost mine. They told me it was $7,000 to get a new set. If I wanted to trade in my car, since I couldn't use it without a pair of keys, they were offering me a few hundred dollars. This is not a joke. My Subaru is worth at least $10,000 CAD. Go to Fast Locksmith if this is happening to you. Got two keys for $1,100. Better than losing my entire car.

Update 10/18/2022

I finally received the cheque in mid October after a couple of months waiting and multiple times of follow-ups. I appreciated that the manager Bernard called me and apologized for the delay and the inconvenience caused. He also offered the compensation for the whole unfortunate situation. Overall, I am glad they fixed the problem and handled this professionally after I escalated this to the manager level.

This is an updated review after 4 months. My sales Alan is amazing and professional. But if you are considering lease or finance with them, and need to work with their Financial Service, I suggest that you should always double-check if they charge the correct amount as promised for your monthly payment. I found that I got charged $18 more for monthly payment after the first month payment got taken from my bank account. I reached out to my Sales Alan, and he handled it professionally, quickly and apologized for a mistake that was not made by him. It was their financial service team miscalculated my monthly payment amount by double counting the tax. Then Alan said the Financial Service will reach out to me and send me a cheque to refund the overcharged amount.

I did get a call from their Financial Service team however, after they said they are going to mail me a cheque for the refund, I didn’t get one after a month waiting. So I called and followed up. I think it was Shawn from the Financial Service team who chatted with me again and promised that he will mail the cheque to me within two days and ask me to call back if I don’t receive the cheque next week. As you may guess, there is no cheque in my mail box after a month. I tried to call and email, no response since then. After 3 months, I still don’t get my money back and get overcharged every month for the lease payment.

My point here is not only about $18*24month. My point is that always double-check if they take the correct amount of the payment from your bank account as they promised.

Highly recommend Alan Alizadeh! I contacted a couple of dealerships in metro Vancouver area and I decided to go with
Northshore Jim Pattison Subaru because Alan is one of the best that I’ve worked with, professional, responsive and honest. He listens and explains things clearly and always be honest and genuine. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends who are interested to purchase Subaru in the future.

Having enjoyed my Subaru Legacy for 12 years, I thought it was time to enjoy some of the new enhancements that newer vehicles have. I was met at the dealership by Jack He. I tried calling the service department recently and over the course of two days and several attempts the phone just rang and rang and rang. Eventually the receptionist transferred my call back to her and asked for my name and number so that someone could call me back. It's been two weeks. I'm not holding my breath. I live 6 hours away and was hoping to make an appointment while I was in town. Pretty poor service.

Service advisor at North Short Subaru told me I needed to replace brakes & replace rotors. When I asked what was wrong with my rotors they couldn't be machined: I was told my specific model, 2014 Crosstrek, "always recommended rotor replacement". Immediately I contacted another Subaru dealer who recommended and efficiently completed the correct brake service: brake pad replacement with machined rotors (as should be standard practice).

Update 2022:
How does one stop this company from calling me?
I've asked nicely. I'm NEVER coming back. Desperate for customers?

Today was a true low point. I called the service department at North Shore Subaru from the side of highway 1, on way home to The Sunshine Coast via the Horseshoe Bay Ferry. Frighteningly, our Forester suddenly lost power, but fortunately we were able to roll into the shoulder. We immediately called BCAA, who initially informed us that, because of high demand volume, we'd have to wait approximately 4 to 5 for a tow. When I explained that my wife, 12 year old daughter and were waiting anxiously at the side of a busy highway, they put us on high priority and a tow truck arrived in under 20 minutes. My next call was to North Shore Subaru. The service department immediately informed me that they were too busy to help. When I explained the situation I was told, nothing could be done until well into January (a month away). BCAA was kind enough to recommended a nearby mechanic who, although also busy, recognized our need. He called us within an hour and informed us a new alternator was required and it would done by the afternoon of the next day. The name of the garage that took care of us in our time of need is "Integra Tire and Auto Service of North Van. " It's wonderful to know service and care still exists, just not (from our experience) at North Shore Subaru.

It has been changed drastically from a place with great customer service with professional staff to an almost chaotic one.
Long appointment wait list, and not very well time management. I had to leave my car overnight and lost a day of work.
Picked up the car and the issue wasn’t resolved properly. No car washing, as it used to be. The front desk person was very young and not very professional.

If you are wanting a new Subaru - go and speak with Francis. From start to finish I had one of the best purchasing experiences I have had. Francis' knowledge of the car I wanted was exceptional, communication was regular and prompt, and all round was just a top guy to be dealing with. The whole JP team was great (Sherie and Rael too). My boyfriend and I recently visited JP Subaru and had a disappointing experience to say the least. Dealt with Alan. Friendly guy, however, I knew the vehicle's payment before I knew it's engine. No conversation, nor interest really, was initiated to learn about vehicle needs/wants, and there was zero walk around done on the car to explain anything about it. Reviewing payments was confusing with little to no breakdown of retail price vs purchase price. I recommend this place is you're looking for zero guidance and follow up in your car purchase journey. If you're looking for a positive, interactive, and informative experience on the other hand, visit elsewhere.

Our experience with Freddy was great since the first day, he has lots of knowledge about the brand and trims, we were unsure what exactly to get since we had owned a forester before and he guide us to get a Crosstrek (witch we absolutely love) we had to wait for a couple of weeks but he was always in touch with us to give any update. The pick up day was quick and smooth.

I recently moved to the North Shore and thought I'd switch dealerships for services on my WRX. I called to speak with the service department to book an appointment for a service last week, twice, on the 25th and 26th, and left messages for a call back both times.

It's now June 3 and I have still not heard back. Nobody has returned my call and so I have decided to stick with my existing dealership, even though it means driving quite a bit further for servicing.

If this is the sort of response somebody receives when trying to become a customer, I dread to think what it's like when somebody becomes a customer. It's deplorable.

We bought a Crosstrek in mid-January 2021. Freddy, the sales associate, was helpful and prompt in answering questions. Every email sent out was responded to immediately! For example, the finance department did not call me as expected and Freddy rectified that. Everything promised in writing was delivered as expected. We got a vehicle for lease after paying $5000 in down payment. After a while for some reason we had to return it. At that time we weren't aware of lease transfers. The employees at Subaru did not mention this at all, and as a result we lost our whole down payment.
Please clearly explain all the available options when someone is doing a return.

Attempts to do a remote transaction and negotiate price on a used vehicle met with an aggressive and insulting sales person. Price was aggressive, but still attempted to negotiate. Second sales person fixed things - unfortunately the delay resulted in the unit selling and I'm back to the drawing board. All good just not impressed with the rude commentary from the first sales person. Maybe could have closed the deal, maybe would have still ended up missing out, but will never know. If you don't agree with customers trying to negotiate prices - state in your ads that NO-Negotiate will be allowed - price is firm. And if your a sales person in this realm be prepared for folks to try and negotiate and never assume we are dumb.

Just purchased a forester from Jack and Jimmy. Very pleasant and smooth experience. The service is professional, responsive, transparent and not overly pushing. One thing they could improve on is to conduct the PDI even if the it has already been done by other dealers, as not all subaru dealers are holding the same high standard as this one

I had a wonderful car buying experience at Subaru at the North Shore Automall. I had originally only been planning to look at Toyota and Honda (have owned one of each before), but a girlfriend told me to check out Subaru, as she'd just bought there after doing a ton of research and the Outback came out ahead of the Rav-4 and CRV. So I went to Subaru as well (was at the automall anyway, so why not?) and met with Freddy Ghanei, who she had dealt with. Freddy was knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted to get us the car we wanted. We went for a test drive and sure enough this car drove better than the other 2 and was packed with more safety features as well. Freddy gave us a quote, and we went home to discuss. We were new car owners just 2 weeks later, with all the bells and whistles we wanted, as well as super low financing. The rest of the team, Victoria (warranties and add ons) and Wei (insurance) were all very helpful, very knowledgeable and I enjoyed my experience in buying my new car, which I LOVE! Thank you Subaru team.

Went in with my aunt to test drive a new suv. Looked at the crosstrek and forester and was impressed with the salespersons knowledge and the honesty throughout the whole transaction. Typically do not see the same personable types within car sales, so Francis really helped out and took the time to explain the benefits of each model and trim level to best suit my aunt’s needs.

Such a wonderful car buying experience. The staff at Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore are top notch. This is my 3rd Subaru and I couldn't be happier. Most people dread going in to a dealership because they think they will be attacked and pounced on. Not the case here, my salesperson Jack He was very professional and easy to deal with. From the first meeting to him handing me my keys he was a true pleasure.
Sales Manager Marek also gets a score of 100% for his terrific attitude. I felt like he really cared about me as a customer.
Victoria in the business office was also very pleasant to deal with and she explained all the financial intricacies of my deal.
Kudos all around. I LOVE MY SUBARU.
