This review is on behalf of my brother Steve. During last weeks minus 12 cold snap. My Hyundai Tucson battery died. I was stuck at home, while I had several important errands to run for my elderly parents. I called Jim Pattison North Shore Hyundai and spoke to Allen. Since there were no tow tucks available, Allen was very gracious to bring over & installed the new battery. Thank You Allen for your outstanding dedication to customer service.

It was good with this dealership… until
it wasn’t. Haven’t bought a vehicle in 10+ years. Found a suitable one on CarGurus back in December’23 and decided to start the search, since my Dodge Journey (sole owner) has engine issues and was ready for pasture. Put the $1000 down and had the PPI done with money out of pocket, plus out of town expenses for travel costs.

The dealership sales rep was ready to commit to the repairs and sales agreement but had some apparent family crisis over the holidays. I was waiting to hear back from him and doing my best to remain proactive, albeit holiday funk and all.

When I contacted the dealership a week later to say I was ready with a cash buyout, provided they kept true to task with the pre-sale agreement, I found out, to my disappointment, that they had sold the vehicle out from under me. Avoid this dealer at all costs, unless you are ready to hustle beyond belief and be prepared to be taken advantage of, lest they rip the rug out from under you.

Needless to say, hoping for a better deal to come along and hope the person who bought my vehicle enjoys it. Be prepared for the $3000+ in repairs it likely cost you, if the dealership wasn’t honest about the work needed or you didn’t do due diligence with your pre-inspection purchase. (Black V6 2013, Dodge Journey, SXT AWD, sold @ $8300 141k km)

A nice ambiance in the dealership but lacking personal attention to detail in customer service, right through to the end of sale to work hard for total customer satisfaction.

If you want service - This is Your Place! We had prompt service and saw 3 vehicles quickly - Fun, Friendly Service too! Elmira at the front is Fabulous and she connected us with Noah who is a burst of Refreshing Energy! We all (kids included) had a blast with these two! The vehicles were show ready, clean & Noah had answers to our vehicle specific questions. I would visit again, it was all around fun, respectful and customer focused. Thanks Elmira & Noah:)

I have been their customer since 2018. Their service department does a great job! They do the right thing. The management knows their job. Moh (one of the service department employees) is quick, efficient and respectful. I appreciate their service and strongly recommend them. Both service and sales.

Charlie Huynh and Herman Tam were excellent to work with! They made the purchase simple and were able to get my car in on time before our first child arrived!

Charlie is the best product advisor I have ever met. From the purchase time to pick up time he did really great. He’s genuine and very friendly. He spend the time to go over the car to make sure I know all the features of the car. I bought lots of cars but this was first time sales person took time to go over everything. This is really impressive. Also while waiting to pick up the car, I watched him interacting with other customers and he’s very kind to everyone and is helpful. It was very obvious he loves his job and do good to clients. Great job!

Herman from financing department was very good too. Very professional and go over all the documents thoroughly. Other people just ask to sign here sign there but he went over important details of the car payment and extra protection that I can have. I bought extra protection because it’s very well explained and I definitely will benefit from having them.

Thank you. Highly recommend this dealership and Charlie and Herman for purchasing cars.

Purchased a Lexus last month and was quite impressed with the service after the transaction. During the sales process, a few items were promised and I was worried it would all be forgotten after payment. Luckily, I had salesman Arthur K who is a man of his word. He made sure all promises were fixed to my satisfaction - quick and efficient. Finance guy Herman T was also very good, he is methodical and takes time to explain, unfortunately, I tapped out due to my budget. Anyways, good experience all around.

Terrible after care service. Here is the whole story: booked in to have a service and tires changed. When we took the car down for the service, there was no evidence of a tire change on the books. We were asked “did you say that we were storing the tires for you? ” - do they not have a record of which customers keep their tires at the dealership and those that don’t? After arranging a second visit to have tires changed, we were told to “just come down but phone first”. We duly phoned to say we were bringing the car down only to find out that nothing had been booked in and made to feel like we were lying! It took two visits to complete something that could have been done in one, plus we were made to feel like we were the ones in the wrong! To add insult to injury we discovered after the tires had been changed that one had a bead leak. We had no desire to go back and try and book another appointment and so paid for another company to fix it. The manager of this dealership called and was very courteous. There is a clear and obvious communication problem in the service department as three separate people gave conflicting instructions.

Have always had my car serviced here, where I purchased it in 2016. In the past 4 service appointments, been dealing with MO and it really helped me with understanding what's going on, what's needed and what could be left to another time. He is great in greetings, and is very knowledgeable as well.
When it comes to technical issues, he simplifies the stories the way everyone understands, as opposed to using Jargon repeatedly and making you go by whatever you don't even know what it is in the first place.
Thanks Mo and keep up the good work!
Also thanks Toyota for dedicated services all these years.

Unreliable
I made a deal with them three weeks ago and paid a $1000 deposit. They canceled the transaction. But they have not returned the deposit yet. And they are not responsive.

Purchase a 2022 Tacoma Trd Off Road.
Sam was my sales rep and he was great to deal with. I received a fair price for my vehicle and got a great deal considering the shortage of Tacomas. He kept me updated on my truck along the way as I ordered it from factory and it took a while to arrive with covid and supply chain issues. Now the truck is my daily driver and I an absolutely loving it!

I had a great experience with Jim Pattison of North Vancouver a couple of days ago. I appreciate Mo, who helped me immensely with professional and kind behaviour. He heard me as a customer and found the best solution to my issue. He could describe a very complicated technical issue to me in a very smooth and understandable way. If you are looking for a pre-owned car with high quality, reasonable price and variety of choices. I badly recommend you should check this store out. Car history, inspection checklist as well are cleared and of course, test driving is not out of your review list. If there is a "flaw" belong to your potential vehicles, they will point it on scale, instead of your effort investigate concluded:). The sale or finance representative is all knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated to their work. Amazing that their professional service is kept up, even though your purchase completion. After dealing with a terrible situation because of the dead battery, I Approached Jim Pattinson North Shore and talked to Mo, a service department staff who convinced me to follow the best rationale procedure to tackle the issue. He is a nice person with a high responsibility to enhance the customer satisfaction, and shared with me lots of reliable info to provide me a peace of mind.
I am highly appreciated all his vigorous efforts to make me satisfied by addressing the issue. I think he can be an excellent role model.

I’ve only had one service bulletin performed here, along with buying plenty of parts for an old ‘93 4Runner. The staff in the service and parts department have been knowledgeable and the parts team is excellent at getting in parts for my old truck, they always seem to arrive in half the expected time as well. The facility is clean and the coffee bar is a bonus.

Sam Nejad is a great guy to deal with. I'm so happy with him and this dealership. Sam has worked hard to get me the best deal through three leases and 7 years now. I have absolute trust in him. I'll be back again in 2025!

One of the worst experiences at a dealership. I arrived for my 3: 30 appointment and waited over 20 minutes for someone at the service desk to assist me (clearly under staffed). Once it was my turn, the service rep Mo proceeded to tell me I’m late for my appointment and didn’t want to check me in. After another employee told him I had been waiting for over 20 minutes, he instructed him to check me in (thank you blonde guy working in the service dept Sept 2nd at 4pm!). I was then told, due to the time I couldn’t get the full service I booked and would have to bring my car back another day to get it completed. As the cherry on top, $60 for a tire plug. I will never be returning to this dealership for service. If you want good service for your Toyota go to Destination Toyota in Burnaby. This place can take notes from them.

Super friendly staff, it was my first experience in Toyota service North Vancouver and I really appreciate North shore Toyota service to call me directly after service and ask me how I’m satisfied with service

I went there to replace 4 tires, Moe check everything and advised to change oil and filters as well.
He is super friendly & professional and I highly recommended him to anyone who looking for service for their Toyota.
As Moe mentioned I will back soon for change transmission oil, he told me how is important to check every thing specially for cars upper 10 yrs old

Disappointed with lack of feedback.

I was deciding between a full electric car and a Rav4 prime and decided to put down a deposit for the Rav4 prime since the estimated time was 6-9 months.

After 6 months I followed up to see if the vehicle would be ready and was told it could be another 1-2 years. I understand that 6 months was an estimate, but I expected some kind of early feedback to let me know that the original estimate was going to be incorrect.

Had I gotten a warning that the 6-9 estimate was not going to be achieved, I would have been able to go through with my back up plan of buying a different vehicle. Because I was notified so late, I will miss out of the scrap it incentive of 6000$.

Other than this issue, the service was friendly and informative.

No one likes to buy a vehicle from a dealership, right? Not this time. I haven't bought a vehicle from a dealership in years and I was pretty surprised at how easy and painless this was. I started looking for a Toyota Sienna AWD for my wife by searching the internet. I spotted one that looked promising at Jimmy Pattison Toyota Northshore so started by using their contact page. Pretty soon I was texting and talking with Ali and ended up purchasing a different van that hadn't even been fully accepted onto the lot as it was still going through mechanical. I then jumped on a plane and headed to Vancouver to pick up a van that I hadn't even seen yet. Ali tried to caution me that I was jumping the gun a bit but I was undeterred. It turned out that the van had a prominent scratch on one door. Ali said that they would fix it but it would take a week, but I wanted the van right away, so the dealership agreed to lower the price by an equivalent amount and I will take care of it a local bodyshop. Pretty fair I thought. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, friendly, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. Ali was a terrific salesman and I feel like I made a friend. Denise came in on her day off to deal with the paperwork because I was from out of town, and Raj was super friendly and efficient with the insurance paperwork. The van was exactly as described, is a wonderful comfortable vehicle and my wife loves her van. She loved her 2010 Sienna AWD with 365,000 virtually troublefree kilometres and is lookinf forward to putting even more on her 2015 Sienna AWD Limited with 30,000 km. In short I highly recommend Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore and if you want a really pleasant experience, ask to speak to Ali. (p.s. Ali did not write this, I did. Mike Pasemko)

Went to this dealership today with my husband and my 7 month old baby.waited for almost 40 mins to speak with someone.we went in willing to put in our deposit to buy 2 2021 Rav4s. However, left the dealership feeling disheartened and will take our business else where. Will not be taking our business to this particular dealership

AMAZING EXPERIENCE, Charlie was very friendly and was super helpful. Very fast and gave me a great price for my first car. He also made sure the car had no problem and went the extra mile. Highly recommend Charlie as he made the process so nice and easy to follow. Pulhraj Sodhi was in charge of my insurance and he also delivered a fast and smooth experience.

There should be no concerns going to this place especially if you go to the people i mentioned

A good dealership and most respected team. I would like to give my best appreciation to Andy Albers, the General Sale Manager, for being always available to hear my concerns and doing his best to satisfy my needs, and thanks to Perry Karimi, the sales advisor for his great job and trying his best for finalizing the car deal.

I would like to give also another 5 star for my today visit and shopping from Toyota part department and to the great customer service which I received from Wilson Machuca, he is patient, smiling, and giving honest recommendations.
Thanks Wilson accompanying me and to provide me required parts in the earliest and most convenient way.
However I need to put a negative credit for Toyota Rav-4 with its all great features, I am surprised it doesn’t have tow hook place in front and back, and the mirrors not folding automatically from inside the, otherwise I enjoy its driving, and all other features.

This relates to the service department. When I checked in, this took over 20 minutes despite me being the only customer there. The service personnel's demeanor bordered on rude, and acted as if he didn't know what service had been booked, or that it was a surprise and they might not be able to do it today. Well gee, I wish someone had said that to me previously, before I booked my ferry to get her from the Sunshine Coast and at a $55 cost as well as the time I would spend traveling to and waiting for the ferry at each end. Also, at first first he told us the service was going to take possibly 4 hours, then, under some pressure, recanted and said 2 hours.

I advised him that one of the service items (booked) was to check for a known RAV4 issue in the 2019+ models, the incomplete gas-tank filing issue. I advised him that I belonged to a couple of RAV4 forums, and based on what folks had said who'd had the repair done by various dealerships, I both knew how to, and had done, the practical field test, and was aware this needed replacement. The service guy told me, in response that "I should be careful what I read on the internet". Later, when I picked up the vehicle, he told me, "Yes, the tank and associated equipment needs to be replaced" (Book again in a few days, with another round-trip ferry, YAY!)

He then asked if I needed a ride somewhere, yes ok. I mistakenly thought this meant the courtesy shuttle for my 1.5 km trip: no, it meant he would phone me a cab.

Finally, I do NOT understand why this part (gas tank) cannot be held on site, so it can be replaced when it is found faulty (and is a known Toyota issue) like so many are for the RAV4. Instead, another 4 hour round trip for me plus the service time itself. ALL AROUND YIKES Jim Pattison.

I visited Vancouver from Toronto, and stopped in here to see what Toyota apparel I can buy. The receptionist and parts staff were so kind; Ms. Wong was a wonderful parts advisor, and even the Parts Manager Roger greeted me. I think it's pretty awesome when you're a total rando, and the staff there treat you like a friend right away, so I am extremely grateful, and highly recommend Jim Pattison Toyota North Shore to anyone wanting to buy a Toyota, requiring Genuine Toyota service and parts.

I want to retire in Vancouver some day, and will remember my great experience at this store. Thank you, Team JPT-NS!

Just picked up my 2021 Toyota Tacoma. The team and JP Toyota North Shore was amazing. My sales professional Charlie Huynh was amazing extremely profession and made the experience flawless.
