Service department used to have a higher caliber of service, such as a handwritten note from the service manager and complimentary bottles of water after servicing. When the previous service manager left, this service disappeared, which was understandable as this was probably one of her personal touches to clients. This dealership also had a complimentary round trip shuttle service for up to 5km, or at least an option to reschedule for when a loaner vehicle is available. This is one of the reasons why we are repeat clients of this dealership — they used to have a better caliber of client service. Not sure when this shuttle service was discontinued but it was quite disappointing to see the gradual degradation of service in this dealership. We were just left alone after leaving the keys without asking what we’d be up to while waiting for the service to be completed. We don’t feel the same level of stewardship and service as we did before. And this comes after being a loyal client of this dealership for 10 years and four VWs. Still love VWs and will not change, but perhaps we will rethink our relationship with this dealership for our next purchase.

Service department is the worst.they run a promotion but never full fill it and on top they are rude when you ask questions.wasted my 5hrs there. Never going to this place again that's for sure.

Since I bought my Passat in 2015 I am doing regular service and some unscheduled repairs in Jim Pattison Volkswagen service in Guildford. I always felt treated with utmost respect and very professionally. In last couple years I am dealing almost exclusively with VW Manager Yogesh Prasad, who treats me always as VIP, always trying to provide reasonable, timely and reliable service for my vehicle. Yogesh always goes beyond the scope, or "one extra mile", of his work- which is a rare commodity these days. Once my car broke down outside of warranty, he did everything the problem to be fixed timely and properly, even providing me with a courtesy car free of charge. I feel lucky for having Yogesh as a primary contact at VW, and as reliable and honest service provider for my vehicle. I went to JP Volkswagen Surrey and the manager Yogesh Prasad went above and beyond to help me out. The service department was able to fit me in for a last minute service desperately needed, before I had to take my car on a long drive. Not only that I had issues with my door locks and he managed to have that all sorted out for me within this appointment from having it diagnosed and repaired because he knew with my schedule it's hard to be back and forth in a dealership. I would highly recommended Yogesh and his service department in Surrey! Thanks again Yogesh Prasad.

Hello! My husband had a problem with his 2014 Volkswagen Passat. He took it to Volkswagen location in Surrey. Mr. Yogesh Prasad the manager was the one helping him. Yogesh was very nice to let him have a courtesy car while waiting for the parts to arrive to complete the repairs for his vehicle. Not all dealership managers will help their customers in this way. It’s was very nice to have someone like him to help us. Thank you very Mr. Yogesh Prasad for you kindness. Very much appreciated.

I bought the used car 10 days ago at Jim Pattison Volkswagen Surrey. Few days later I found the battery failure. So I couldn't use the car after buy one week.
They gave me battery test paper, there is very low voltage. It is 11.93v,
I asked the BCIT professor and mechanic, they said under 12.2v is a fail.
But the shop said it is normal. I wanted a clear answer. But still no answer.
I decide to return and refund.
I hope it goes well.

Don't buy a used car. It's not professional.

Andrew sold us our new golf! He was so nice, informative and made us feel like we weren’t pressured into it at all! He made sure to find something that met all our requirements and went above and beyond! Financing lady (unfortunately don’t remember her name) was amazing as well! Yogesh the service manager has been quite thorough and professional, however if any issues from VOLKSWAGEN, have not been addressed properly as noboby from VOLKSWAGEN get back on any issue. My wife and I went car shopping today and were very interested in the Tiguan. We expressed our interest to the first employee we saw; this employee told us there weren’t any in stock and we would have to pre-order (which we would have been more than happy to do). We asked if they had any used ones we could test drive, just to get a general feel for the vehicle. He reluctantly told us he could maybe see if there was one available and then instructed us to just look at the vehicle in the show room. After we checked out the car, we never saw any employee again. It was clear we were not being taken seriously. We ended up going to another dealership and purchasing a vehicle. Don’t judge a book by its cover….

I never write reviews but my family and I’s terrible experience cannot go unspoken.

When you choose to go to a specific dealership instead of a general car service company, you expect a certain level of service. When you’ve been going to the same dealership for years, you expect to be treated with respect and loyalty.
On Feb 16, my parents took their Volkswagen in to get a full service worth over $1,000. They said the car would have to be taken over night but did not offer a courtesy vehicle. My 50+ year old parents WALKED two hours from the dealership to their home. My mother is a full time registered nurse and was also working a night shift that same evening. When I brought this issue up with an employee, they were nonchalant and did not show any empathy or concern that my parents had to do that. He explained that it was the customer’s responsibility to book a courtesy car ahead of time as they were booked up until March. That is the stupidest policy I’ve ever heard. How can you put that responsibility on the customer when you’re the dealership? You’re literally surrounded by cars but you don’t have enough to lend to your clients? When you tell your loyal clients you don’t have a car available, do you expect them to bus or walk home? Either remind the customer weeks in advance that they need to book themselves or have more supply. Or even offer an uber, taxi, or a shuttle service to make sure they get home safe. When my boyfriend’s dealership did not have a courtesy car available, they organized a vehicle from a rental car company for him. It’s not rocket science. It’s simple common sense and basic customer service
After paying over $1,000 and receiving terrible customer service, I enter the Volkswagen to see the interior has not been cleaned at all. Their excuse for not performing cleanings was COVID. I would’ve understood that excuse a few months ago but it is the middle of February 2022.how much longer are you gonna use COVID as an excuse for poor service and laziness? Other dealerships have been cleaning the interior of cars the ENTIRE time. Why aren’t you? Resources like PPE exist to protect your employees.
For the price you pay and the service you get, I would not choose this location for your Volkswagen needs.

I waited for so long to fix my car. Some of part arrived late and my schedule also delayed. They told me it takes 3day except weekend, but Yogesh called 3 mechanics and they fixed my car for a day ONLY. I need to do inspection my car because I have to get my car to go back my country. Yogesh know that and He really take care of my car. He is always very kind and friendly. I never had this customer sevice before. He is one of the best manager!:)

I came into the dealership today for the first time and spoke to Andrew regarding a new ID4. I am sorry to report that he was very rude and arrogant from the start. When we walked in, we mentioned that we would like to discuss pricing & delivery times. Right away he told us “pricing is online” & was very hesitant to take us into his office. Once we entered his office, he would not answer any of our questions but instead make very arrogant remarks & smirked at us when we asked about the features of the different trims. Honestly, we were very fascinated by the ID4 however decided to purchase an ioniq 5 from hyundai next door simply because we were greeted with hospitality from the start.
I am a clinician who deals with a variety of individuals on a daily basis and would like to say that it takes VERY LITTLE to just be polite & welcoming to someone! In this case, politely answering a few questions is all it would have taken, but i am sorry to report that Andrew failed in doing so. I hope other customers are not treated in this way & management really takes measures to prevent this from happening again.

My husband and I grew up in Richmond and now live in the Okanogan. We have both brand new Volkswagon‘s 2020 Tiguan and 2021 Atlas. We got stuck on the highway with the mudslide recently trying to get home. We had to leave our vehicle in Vancouver airport and fly home. Upon I had to fly back on my own & try to get on the highway. Once arriving to pick our vehicle up it said it needed service. I went to Jiffy Lube location hoping to have it quickly looked st.they proceeded to tell me I needed numerous items done with the vehicle and the bill was going to be about $200. I just wanted to have a check before I got on the highway to drive it home.
I called volkswagon and spoke with Yogesh explaining my situation trying to get on the highway home.it was 4: 50 and they would be closing at 5: 30 He completely took care of me. He told me to come right away. He was kind and welcomed me as soon as I arrived. I didn’t realize he was a service manager. He personally filled my oil & my window wiper fluid. He check the vehicle for everything before letting me get back on the highway. His service was outstanding I will recommend him and Jim Pattinson Volkswagon to everyone we know. My dad has been going to this place for service for the past few years and The other day is when he's have had enough of it. It's so bad that a a person who doesnt know how to leave a review tells me to leave a review for him.

My dad said they would always quote him less on the phone for services and always make him pay almost twice more. My dad said that this is probably standard because they "always" find something new thats wrong with the car but what really ticked him off is that the guy helping him named "MOE" is heartless- feelingless person, he does not smile nor welcome you and makes you feel like he does not even want to be there.

Was travelling from Calgary to Surrey and developed a rear tail light issue that required a new drivers side tail light assemble. Contacted Yogesh Prasad at Jim Pattison VW and he had the part ordered and the following day the light was quickly installed. I have owned 3 VW's and this is by far the best and most professional service we have ever received.

I had a service that needed to be done, a costly service. I had to replace all four tires, brake rotors, brake pads and also service. This was running me quite a bit of money and I was a little bit stressed about it. Yogesh Prasad, Service Manager Understood my stress. He offered a 10% loyalty discount. This eased my stress quite a bit. Also I was not the easiest customer to work with as per the stress of the service. Mr. Prasad maintain Quality professionalism. When I got my vehicle back it was sparkling clean And now runs like a brand new vehicle.

I would also like to mention a week prior to bringing my vehicle in my battery died and I had to get a new battery. I’m not sure who it was who help me in the service department but he pretty much saved my rear. At the end of my workday, my battery died on my vehicle. I came to Volkswagen Surrey. When I was trying to pull out my car‘s battery I noticed there’s a bracket which required a special tool. I simply asked a random service advisor if there was anything he can do to help me as I was desperate and Volkswagen was closing soon. The service adviser brought a tool to my vehicle and assisted me in pulling up my battery. I’d like to clarify this was the end of the day and he was in the middle of a lot of work but he took the time to assist me. Not only was that above and beyond his job but the simple fact that anybody would do that deserves an accommodation. I will continue my annual services at Jim Patterson Volkswagen in Surrey for these reasons.

I will not be purchasing another Volkswagen vehicle in the future.

At about 150,000 km my car started to shake violently and issue multiple warning lights on my dash every time I drove it. I took it in to the dealership to get it repaired as advised by another auto shop. I spent $1,200 for it to get fixed. Only to experience the same issues exactly 3 months later at 152,000km. I got charged another diagnostic fee as this time it was "a separate issue" and paid another $700.

Fast forward another 3 months and my car starts shaking again and almost stalls on the road at 156,000 km. At this point I lost faith and took it to another dealership to get it fixed for another $400. It has been driving normally since then.

I voiced my disappointment to the dealership and they offered to see what they can do. (Important point I didn't ask to be reimbursed, just voiced my complaint). I sent them my last invoice as per their request but they needed the fault codes from the auto shop I went to. Unfortunately the auto shop could not provide the report and at that point the dealership's efforts ended there.

Needless to say I didn't expect my car to start dying so soon. I had fun driving it up until this point but I don't think it is a good investment compared to other brands.

I brought the 2017 Passat today because of some reason.
I might the unlucky guy.
Engine oil leaking and brake caliper problem.
They will take a look and say something. Hoply both can be fixed with warranty so I can drive the car safely.

People are good.
I like German brand.
But some policy isn't good.

When you buy a previous year model or demo car, you have to pay attention for the car before you sign the paper.
Buying and leasing are totally different.

I found that it had front damage and they didn't mention about that. (There are a chance that they disnt know it but some one fixed it not properly so I could find it.)
I brought to the professional technician to fix it and VW paid for it.

A year later at some point, vibration and noise getting louder when I drive on highway.
So I got a maintance service with oil change and tire rotation before I went to road trip.
(I got a serious situation at the coquhalla highway on the way to Vancouver becouse of the break failing.)

So I had check up at the VW for it and they said that I have to change front disk and pad. It isn't under warranty.

But in my opinion the car has wheel bearing problem. (I was a junior mechanic.) It can make uneven ware out to the disk breaks.
This happened at 20000km milage on it.

So I met the supervisor at the service and explained it. After that they checked again and said I was right.
They changed wheel bearing only at that time.

I inquired about a lightly used pickup at this dealership. After providing detailed pictures and description of the vehicle I wanted to trade in I was given a price over the phone that they valued my trade at. I soon after put a deposit ($500) on the truck we were interested in to hold it until we could drive it. Upon arranging babysitters for my 2 young children, and taking the day off work, we made the trip out to Surrey to negotiate buying said vehicle. Andy our salesman was pleasant to deal with but soon everything went sideways. We were given the keys to test drive the truck in question and we took off for a brief test drive. After the test drive I was convinced I wanted to buy it so we entered Andy’s office to review numbers. After sitting down he informed me that the trade in value he promised me had decreased substantially (several thousand dollars). My wife and I made our budget clear from the get go as we didn’t want to waste our time travelling there if it wasn’t going to work financially. At the end of the day we were completely mislead and our day was wasted. Our Salesman blamed the manager for changing the price. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone as my experience was terrible, I was lied to and mislead. This is a terrible way to conduct business and I highly advise if you give numbers over the phone, to actually honour them the next day. Communication and honesty goes a long way. Thanks for wasting my time!

Andy and Greg were super easy to deal with. I knew what I wanted for my trade in and the price I wanted for their vehicle, so it was a quick negotiation. There were no lowball trade-in offers or condescending product advisors. The finance office was also very efficient, no one tried to push warranties or protection plans on me, I spent two minutes signing some papers and I was done. I'm glad to see the dealership has greatly improved from what it used to be.

Reg in the service department is truly amazing to deal with. From the first call; booking a loaner, advising what were the issues, and having my car available. Not to mention, washed and vacuumed. Went in again with a few questions and issues, assisted and educated me of features that I wasn’t even aware of. The first thing I'd like to say is, if we'd only dealt with Eric Schram I'd be leaving a five start review. He did a great job showing us what we were interested in and made every effort to, not just sell us a car, but make a connection and find out exactly what we wanted in a car and what would make us happy.

At one point it became clear that the sales manager Gurpreet wasn't able to give us a trade in value that we felt was reasonable and that's fine. We were willing to walk away, think about it, and perhaps sell our car privately and buy the vehicle we were looking at for cash. Then Gurpreet entered the room and tried to justify his offer of less that 50% of what he agreed we would get for it privately. When I politely disagreed with his assessment he accused me of arguing and left as quickly as possible, which I found childish. If you don't agree just say you don't agree and sorry we couldn't make a deal. Don't disrespect the customer.

Eric had already explained everything that Gurpreet had to say but he did it in a much more respectful way. As I said at the beginning if Gurpreet had never enter the room this would be a 5 star review.

100% would deal with Eric again.

Had a fantastic experience this morning dealing with the service manager, Yogesh. I was looking for the maintenance history of a used car I purchased that had been serviced at Jim Pattison VW. Yogesh reached out immediately and provided exactly what I was looking for. Very professional and highly recommended.

I brought 2 Eurovan’s here for a pre-inspection before purchase and they did an excellent job. Yogesh was beyond accommodating and helped us get an appointment last minute. He has wonderful customer service skills and is so kind. We really appreciate their help in what normally is a stressful process purchasing a vehicle. Brian, the mechanic, was super helpful too.

Nice looking dealership, bad experience. After negotiating for a week, finally I purchased my used car from them. The sales person Maxwell explained to me that he is a Senior sales person and gave me the impression that he will treat me like it is supposed to. After finalizing sale, he came with some papers, explaining that I have 2 oil changes included and that in 2 weeks he will call me to ask if everything is good and if not he will make it right, with the car if required. Not happened, nobody called and promising something and not following up it is not professional. He also told me that the rims which are plasti-dipped (a $50 expense) are powder coated which was a lie, the simple way, was to say that he does not know why the rims are black. He implied that this is a bigger value that it is in fact which weighted in making me buy the car. Please do yourself a favor and NOT use this location and especially Maxwell.

The Patterson team exceeded my expectation (again). My engine light had shown up on my TDI soon after getting recently serviced for and oil change. I thought it was ironic, but it was not the case. The oil service was outstanding.such to have told another manager. I had no problems coming back for replacing the original air manifold a month later under warranty upon staff investigation. The service manage Yogesh Prasad and the front desk answered my questions (even the technician on the oil change). I appreciate the staff showing me the warranty part prior to sending to VW head office. MANY KUDOS to the staff. Very happy to have purchased my VW TDI 2013 and having it serviced here all the time.

I always receive excellent service when I'm at Jim Pattison VW. Specifically when dealing with their service manager, Yogesh, he always ensures that my 2016 VW Jetta is taken cared of during the scheduled services. I highly recommend buying a vehicle at this specific location!

Recently my wife and I purchased a new car with Jim Pattison VW. After reviewing the bill I realized they forgot to apply the deposit to the bill of sale, I had to phone them and remind them to refund me the $500. When I went to pick up my new car the passenger handle was broken, car had a terrible non new car smell and I found an empty Red Bull can in the centre console when driving it home. They did not prep the car for a new customer correctly.
Be prepared when you go to finalize the financing when you pick up the car they will then present other options for you car, and they will apply pressure hard to purchase the: extended warranty, paint fade protection, under coating and equity protection etc, all the options you don't need. I said no and you can too.
After a week I got my $500 back but with my smelly new car, broken handle I am still waiting for a call from the service department.
All these commercials about how wonderful Jim Pattison service is the best is not correct
If I provided this level of service at my job I would have been fired.
I do not recommend Jim Pattison VW go to GoldKey

It's been continuously 3rd time I felt like I'm precious and valuable customer.

As I'm getting that kind of great service with great price my heart and mind forcing me to write something real for this kind of behavior and welcoming approach by all the team members.

I tried to find the reason and person behind all this and I met Mr. Yogesh Prasad (Service manager) I found great customer service skills along with real leadership qualities and positive nature and. Great time management skills and nice way to treat all of his teammates and customers.

I really wanna say special thanks to him and all of his team members for that great quality.

Was in need of an economical yet reliable used car and ended up buying one from the wonderful and friendly Jetric Paz.the deal I wanted to make wasn't the easiest one and Jet was patient, honest and understanding the whole way.when I needed extra attention, he gave it happily.he addressed all my concerns with professionalism and charm.
