Came in no appointment, Jimmy and the boys treated me like a regular and made my day.
Great place.

I asked for shaved sides and length on top and left with a military buzzcut.they refused to give my money back.it’ll take months for the hair to grow back.i don’t write reviews very often but i’m never going back

Steven was definitely worth coming to see. His attention to detail was what sold me on posting a review, if you want a sharp cut he’s the one to see for sure

I’ve been going to Jimmy’s since I moved to Victoria (7 years). I’ve always had good experiences with this place. It has that Old school barber shop feel. All the barbers are very friendly and they make you feel welcome. Make sure you ask for Abdoul. He’s a super nice guy and he really knows his craft. Best fade haircut I’ve ever had hands down. I highly recommend this place.

Jimmy seems like a nice guy, but he will cut your hair the way he wants to cut it, not how you ask it to be cut.

Walked in and asked more then five times what the wait time was to the owner who was looking directly at me. He ignored me every time. Finally one of his employees answered. I will never use their service again.

Kinda disapointed. I asked for a skin fade and a hard part to which the man said yes. I don't think he heard me then gave me the most basic cut I've ever had. I've been before and it was great, but I don't think I'll ever go again

I don’t live in Victoria but stop in at Jimmy’s when I’m in town. I go my first cut in 1991 coming off the West Coast Trail and have had over 20 haircuts by Jimmy since then. I like my hair short and few barbers can do a decent close crop without it looking goofy in a couple of weeks.

If you want to look like a show pony, this isn’t the place for you. Personally I like having a shampoo after a cut but you don’t get this at Jimmy’s. It’s an old school barbershop and Jimmy is a prince of a man. Treat yourself to a straight razor shave there. I’ll truly miss Jimmy when he retires.

Jimmy is the man! Even at this age, he is doing what he does the best. Giving great hair cuts! Gotta appreciate his zeal. He has an amazingly talented staff. Ryan was very friendly and understood exactly what I was looking for. Had a good experience here. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a good haircut which is good on pocket too

My go to place. Simple old school shop, average 15$ a cut I pay 20 as it is as good if not better than any place that charges 20-40$ imho.

Great atmosphere minus the overly misogynistic conversation. The haircut had to be one of the worst I’ve received in my lifetime. I suppose you get what you pay for. Although I have had many great haircuts at similar reasonable prices.

I take all my male clients to Jimmy’s! (I work with special needs people) It’s a manly shop with the kindest most friendly people I have ever met. They show compassion and genuine care for EVERYONE that walks in that door. Jimmy and his crew are not just the best but they go beyond the job. The prices cannot be best nor can the atmosphere in a perfect downtown location right beside amazing bakeries and the parking garage! I have to be honest, I’ve been taking clients there for 15 years and it has never changed! It’s open to all with no judgment! Thank you Jimmy for being you️

Abdul at Jimmy's barbershop is the best in town, good price, friendly and always follows the Covid 19 protocol.

Slow and steady. Jimmy's hasn't changed in years and nor should it. This gem of a barbershop has all of the nostalgia and none of the unnecessary frills. Excellent service today from Ryan as well.

Walked by, saw lone barber waiting for customers and decided to try my luck. Should have read the reviews first. Worst haircut I've ever had. Uneven and really short. Need to find another barber to fix this tomorrow, likely going to be a buzz cut. Listen to the reviews, do not let Jimmy cut your hair.

Quality can vary. I have had mostly excellent haircuts, but I have had a few less excellent ones as well. But the less excellent ones were still pretty decent haircuts. Atmosphere and price Is exactly what I want in a barber.

Jimmy has been in that shop for 52 years. Just think of the changes that he has seen. Same great haircuts for a reasonable price and the added treat of all the local characters coming in to talk with Jimmy or bring him a coffee of getting help out of a "jam".

Jimmy has been here for over 50 years cutting Victoria's hair. Due to it's convenient location on my walk to and from work I have stopped a few times now. In, out, fast, good. I'm always happy with the end results. Thanks Jimmy, keep on cutting.

I like this place for getting a haircut quickly during these unusual COVID-times.

Jimmy is fast and professional, does a great old-time job. He remembers you and what style you want.even if he hasn't seen you in six months. Nice!

Jimmy and other barbers can do complicated fades and au-courante or trendy barbering.

The space is nice; I really like seeing the history on the wall in photos and how each barber adds their own "story" to their workspace.

There usually is a wait; my longest was about 20-minutes after the first COVID lockdown. If you are waiting for a specific barber your wait may be longer.

There's a TV - usually tuned to sports - to while away the wait.

There are other barbers nearby but my go-to-barber is Jimmy's on Fort Street.

Don’t let the owner cut your hair. I went in to get a fade. Walked out with almost no hair. He turned me away from the mirror which was weird and when I had a second to sneak a peak, the damage was already done. The hair cut is terrible and he didn’t even do the fade. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good hair cut from George, exactly what I asked for. Charged me slightly more b/c I had a lot of hair to cut, which I thought was weird, but acceptable.

Awful cut this morning from the lone barber that was there. I wondered why he turned me away from the mirror before he started the cut - if I could have seen what was happening then I would have stopped him.

My instructions were clear and simple. He took way too much off the sides/top and left me with a ragged clump of hair on my crown. It’s atrocious - I’m so embarrassed. Now I need to find an advanced stylist on short notice to TRY and fix this.

I’m not exaggerating - it is really that bad.

First off the guy (Jimmy) did not listen when I gave him instructions of how I'd like my facial hair to look, instead he does whatever he thought was right. Second he completely screwed up his correction. Third didn't even bother dusting off the hair he left all over my forehead and neck. Extremely dissapointed in a supposed professional shop. Garbage.

Abdol is the man and the reason why I go to this place. This man is awesome and I always have the best haircuts. Abdol is where to be at Jimmy’s barbershop. Do not waste your time going to anyone else, head to abdol’s chair, he is a magician and capable of everything.

Jimmy’s been doing it for a long time deserves nothing but respect okay sometimes he doesn’t listen very well l always tell him don’t shorten the sideburns but he does anyway so l got to watch him like a hawk I’ll say “Jimmy.don’t do it” it is what it is. Jimmy’s a character he’s the King of Fort. I always enjoy going there sideburns or no sideburns.

Worst haircut I've ever had. I asked for a simple fade and a trim on top. It's uneven and looks like hell. I have to go some place else, tomorrow so I can get it fixed.

I wish I could give them no stars. My husband asked for a trim and they shaved his head and left a 4” square patch of hair on top. Didn’t even fade the sides. This is the second time we tried jimmys and they don’t know how to listen to the client. Now we have to wait for it to grow out. Thanks for the lousy cut!

Abdul was the one who gave me a hair cut. And, it was a great experience since the day I got the hair cut numerous people praised my haircut to be nice and smart.

Home of the $13 haircut. Jimmy is older than dirt but still cuts hair all day long. He has some talented barbers working with him too.

I've been going to Jimmy's for about five years now and in that time I've tried a couple other hair places in Victoria, most which charge significantly more than Jimmy's classic $13 cut, but have been disappointed by everywhere else I've gone.
Jimmy's has been great every time I go in. Jordan always gives me the perfect cut, and is always awesome to talk to while he's working. It's always a really fun experience and worth way more than $13!
I always get tons of compliments on my hair afterwards, and my wife always loves it.
Jimmy himself always provides a nice shave as well when you ask for one.

Jimmy is nice but probably is too old for the job now. Been twice, but won't go again. Very long waits sometimes. First time employee did ok job but was overly chatty in an annoyingly arrogant manner. Second time was Jimmy himself who is nice enough but hard to communicate with and manages to drop the Cape constantly and get hair just about everywhere on you (and in shirt) without bothering to even try to clean it. He didn't seem to be cleaning the buzzer or scissors between customers either.
