Excellent grocery store. Large and bright, great selection and prices, lots of parking, efficient, helpful staff and a PC points card saves you even more.

Originally gave it 5 stars. Now I wouldn't even bother. They are a bunch of idiots there. So not worth the hassle.

And if you're indigenous seriously. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I am sorry to say that this store has gone downhill since it was Jim's Ind. We always counted on his prices being lower than at the other V'f grocery store. Not so anymore. We counted on a larger variety. Not so any longer. The changes and appearance are not to our satisfaction so therefore, we, as 6 individual families, all related, now shop mostly at the the other store.
There were also other problems with cleasiness when it was Jim's, specially in the bathroom; fecies on the wall, that remained for days. I don't know how clean these are now for I haven't been. Jim did not respect covid protocol so did not respect most of his clients. Although no fans of Brian, the butcher and anti masker, the meat counter was way better than it is now. Durring Jim's time, some pig had butted a cigarette in the pizza shelf.disgusting. I had to report it but could no longrr buy their local pizzas. A worker should have noticed this before a client.
Lastly, Vanderhoof needs a more reasonably priced store like No Frills. Thank you for listening to my comments. A disappointed friend.

They almost always have the things I want and ha e a far better selection of varieties of geoceries than we do in FtStJames.

Never let you spend your points you saved. Had 20 dollars cashier wouldn't let me use it towards my purchase. Self checkouts always closed forcing you to go to the cashiers that are too busy chatting with each other to help the customer. The store is really dirty and disorganized. Price gouging compared to Burns lake superstore or Prince George Superstore I kid you not. Carts scattered everywhere so it is tough to find a parking spot.
Outdated coupons on the thing near the door so don't bother. And customer service desk hides in the back office or takes their time.

Won't be coming back.
Will go to Prince George for my shopping needs.

Consistently poor customer service, pricing advertised is routinely not what the items ring through at.

Every time I asked about something the staff would tell me, "Oh, we don't sell that here, try Co-op. " Such as large pre-cooked meals, cooked boneless ham, etc. I even wondered the store for milk and couldn't find it anywhere. I am glad though since I have never been able to use the superstore milk past 3 days of bringing it home. (This store is a division of Superstore)

Good selection of products, and hours are the better of the two grocery store options in Vanderhoof, as the Co-op grocery closes at least 3 hours earlier every day. Product shortages do happen occasionally, such as toilet paper and sugar, but that was mainly during the pandemic. All in all, a well stocked grocery store.

They consistently have overly ripe produce and most cashier's have a very negative and snappy attitude

Reasonable prices for small population town and good selection.deli foods, fresh baked goods. Low lineups.

I have been able to find a wide selection of items here and have had good customer service experiences here also, Great Location.

Just visited this place because I was passing through, was neat little store, didn't see any mens clothes just children but all the staff were friendly and smiled when they walked by

Meat way more expensive then co op. Bread products always expired (every time I GO). Chips in a cooler.mismanaged store that needs a lot of work.surprised the health department hasn't been there.

Store owner Jim is very rude sometimes and treats staff like slaves (my opinion) prices are good other staff awesome. But won’t shop there anymore only coop for us

Good place to shopp for food n cloths for my kid. Pharmacy here is awesome as well just saying.

Dirty store, A bit pricey, the produce is okay. Dairy cooler is rarely full. Most of staff is pleasant (except for one.). Store sales aren't really that great they leave expired tags on shelves. The cashier's are friendly though.
A lot of outdated product.

Only shop there if everything else is closed.

J. I. G. S is NOT your common big box store though it looks like one. I go out of my way, back track if I have too. Not only are the prices reasonable, there is a huge selection in every department and a good variety of specialty foods, quality veggies, fruits and meats, clothing, housewares, toys, cosmetics, books, wholesale, bulk, if they don't have it, ask! There is a Pharmacy as well! The Pharmacist is on the ball in explaining prescriptions and goes out of his way to make sure you understand what you are on. I rarely go there without seeing the owner with his sleeves rolled up.right in there with his staff. I've even noticed him pushing a customers buggy to his car! Rare to see an owner for a store of this magnitude go to that length without calling on staff.

Friendly cashiers, but produce sucks, and it's really sad that they're taking all the 'no name' items out!
