Very fresh, great quality products, ok selection in a hole-in-the-wall bakery. Limited street parking but in a central location next to many shops in east van. The raisin dinner buns are fluffy and great value.

Whenever I get a haircut, always drop by here for the shrimp cheung fun, sticky rice, and vermicelli noodles!

No English menu so you really need to know the common chinese bakery items. There is always a line up but it moves fast. The fried chinese donuts, turnip cake, baked baos, congee and sesame fried balls are good. They also have frozen gyozas, shumais and wontons if you want to take home for a good price.

I bought frozen siu mai from this shop twice and both times, I picked up from the section where it says shrimp and pork, which is slightly more expensive than the pork-only siu mai.
When I cooked it, there was no shrimp in sight. I thought I made a mistake but it was the shopkeeper who directed me to this section. I don't think I'll be back as it seems like I am paying more for just pork.

It's been years since all the hubbub about the rat in their hot tray, but all in all, it's a cheap place to get decent quality food. In reality, the quality varies. The sticky rice I don't find to be that good, nor the noodles, but the buns are usually great and the zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) have a good amount of meat to them.
Usually a line and turnover is fast, but I have received seemingly day-old dumplings in the past.
In short, hit and miss, but a lot more hits than misses, and with affordable prices, I find myself coming back from time to time.

Very good food and service.price are extremely reasonable. Just hope the cashier have a bit smile. They always look grumpy

Rice rolls super popular and always hot off the steamer. $5.75 for the ground beef roll. Delish.

A simple bakery for decent rice rolls and sticky rice. It seems like the rice rolls are the most popular item that people orders. These rice rolls are usually "made-to-order" in the mornings. By the afternoon, they usually have some beef and pork rice on the counter. The sticky rice is typically ready after 10: 30 am, but quite often is sold-out by 1: 00 pm. Often on weekends, there would be a line-up out the door, but the line moves fast. For a quick and simple meal, Jin Sui Xiang Bakery is a good option.
