Great food, wish they had this in toronto - would go to vancouver again just for this food ; variety and amount of selection of soup dumpling (xiao long bao) is plentiful

Dined here for a little evening snack on new years! The service was fast and their specialty baos were so cute! Each colour represents a different flavour so it’s a shame that you can’t try all of the flavours if you’re sharing with others, but just seeing the beautiful colours brightened our mood:) You can see the chefs hand make baos by the dining area which is also pretty cool.

I love the cute colors and experiences the food brings, but im knocking off one point just for the quantity per price value. The food is tasty however and a fun experience overall!

First, the food was really tasty. Second, the service was some of the best I’ve experienced in Canada. Third, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend and eat there again. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. 5/5️

Pleasant modern interior with authentic taste. The baos were freshly made and tasted like they do in China. The noodle soup was loaded and fragrant. Very enjoyable meal.

Food was decent but the older gray haired Asian man (manager) has serious issues. Seems to hate customers. Why he is working in service industry is beyond me. Please get therapy old man. The waitress was kind and attentive.

Soup dumplings are absolutely delicious, though on the pricier side. Happy hour menu options and prices have unfortunately worsened. Overall like this place, but recently found out something very concerning - this place charges PST despite PST not applying to food/meals. When brought to the staff’s attention they just said the machines are pre-set to charge PST and there’s nothing they can do about this. If no PST is chargeable on food/meals, where are these funds going? Very shady…

The food was good. Our server was wonderful. The overall experience was awful.

If overall business ethics matter to you, please note the following: We parked in the lot behind the restaurant where it was signed reserved for Easy Park. We paid for our spot, enjoyed our meal, and came back to a ticket. Upon a discussion with the person who wrote the ticket, we learned that he had been instructed by the manager of Jingle Bao to ticket us.

We spoke with the manager- he admitted that the signage is confusing and that he was responsible for our ticket. He said "This happens to tourists all the time. " We appealed the ticket and it was denied.

Bummer.good food but I wouldn't recommend. If it happens "all the time" to tourists, perhaps the problem is with your signage. (FTR it also happened to another "tourist" at the same time, so the signage was confusing enough to get two separate groups in one afternoon.) Enjoyed the food, exceptionally disappointed in the ethics of management.

No idea why this place is popular. The dumplings had no structure and contained pucks of frozen crab/shrimp. The soup dumplings had no flavor. Just hot water. The bao buns came out dry and cracked. Food was a huge disappointment and the service was awful. The server forgot us multiple times and it was barely busy. Seems like this restaurant is an instagram gimic

This place has authentic XLB! The classic was better than Dinesty and the colourful one had lobster.mmmm. They had a menu of mostly fried rice, fried noodles, soup noodles and other dim sum items. Squid was also excellent and the hot and sour soup were my favourites. We went 3 times in a week!

Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment for me and my daughter. We were so excited to try the supersize xiao long bao. But end up the food was disgusting especially The hot and sour soup was so salty and strong pepper.it was uneatable and it looks like a bowl of barf. It was pricey too. Cute place but won’t go back for the awful food.

Was looking for a place with Xiao Long Bao along with other dim sum specialties and this place has it all! Made fresh right when you walk in, the XLB are delicious and they have innovative food items like spicy and truffle XLB.

A small restaurant in west end. Good juicy dumplings and dim sum. My favorite was traditional juicy pork dumplings.

Delicious bao and cute atmosphere. The server was very friendly and helpful in describing the different flavors of dumpling. We each got a magnificent 7, along with a bun platter and some classic dumplings and had fun trying them all.

I had three separate bad experiences at Jingle Bao restaurant. While I enjoyed the food, the poor service ruined my overall experience. The first time, the kitchen staff could be heard yelling when I made a second order 15 minutes before “apparent” closing when no last call was made.

During my second visit, they forgot one of our orders.

Third visit, they turned us away from dining room service one hour before closing and said take out only with no signage or warning of any kind.

Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend Jingle Bao restaurant to anyone. The service issues I encountered were unacceptable, and I would advise others to avoid this restaurant. "

Only place I would get the soup dumplings! Their broth is soo flavourful. The house chilli oil is like the cherry on top. I’m a fan ️

Good taste and options. They have vegan, veg and non-veg.
I tried vegan and veg dishes and they are good. I had dimsums for the first time and the restaurant person kindly helped on how to eat it to have the best experience.
Highly recommend.

Was super disappointed in the dumplings, I was so looking forward to trying these and they were a complete let down. Nothing that would ever make me want to eat again. Super expensive for what we got 40$ for 15 underwhelming dumplings.

Great spot to eat. We tried a variety of dishes on the main menu as well as the happy hour menu and they were all great. The signature magnificent seven bao was fresh and tasty. The chicken and egg fried rice and shrimp spring rolls were also yummy. The service and atmosphere were amazing. Would definitely eat here again!

I was told it takes about 20 mins to be seated. I was dining alone. During the course of wait for 20 mins plus many people left the restaurant. The waiter looked at me and was gone. I was asked to leave my name and number and never got any calls. This restaurant simply could not accommodate a lone dinner despite there were tables available.

Omg! A jewel in west end! The staff is so lovely! And the prices are affordable, the food delicious, the portions big and I bought the adorable bao lamp that is on the table. Definitely we will come again, new favorite place. They were attentive, even when they forgot one order, they apologized and offered on the house to make it up. Lovely ‘the experience

Came here for the infamous XLB soup dumplings. They did not disappoint. They even have a Truffle one, you gotta try that, it's extraordinary. It was happy hour so we got the pork fried rice too, why not? The pork fried rice was bursting with flavor and exceeded my expectations.

Staff was super friendly, accommodating. I also loved the interior, felt really homey. Don't miss this spot if you're looking for some soup dumplings!

Really cute place. Great soup dumplings which we ordered to go. The waitress gave us a green tea whilst we were waiting for our order, which was a nice touch.

The XLBs are divine. Skin is thin, broth is clear and flavorful and the meat is tender and not overly seasoned (a problem with other places).

Very little positive things to say about our experience here.
The table and restaurant were both visibly dirty.

The cucumber salad was just cucumber with sauce, with the added surprise of a plastic wrapper included in the dish. The signature magnificent seven dumplings were bland and the bottoms were very soggy.

Our food came fairly quickly, but we had to wait almost 30 minutes for the supersize xiao long bao. While the size of this dish was impressive, the flavor and texture were not appetizing at all. Seems like more of a novelty item than something I would want to eat.

Overall, I would recommend skipping this location.

I really enjoyed the food at this location. The chicken was amazing, had all the right flavours and crispiness. The dumplings in the wonton soup were also amazing as well as the mushroom vegetable dumpling.

A little gem in an often overlook section: excellent bao esp the little cage one - nice firm skin not rubbery; tasty/juicy.the beef noodle soup is good esp the soup and dont forget the draft lager.shrimp dumplings good too.

We ate so many dumings! It was all incredible. The broth is absolutely perfect, 10/10 recommend

Some of the best dim sum I have had and Sherman was awesome! He did such a great job and we really enjoyed the food.

Service from Sherman was an A+ the phoenix bun is one of the greatest things I've ever tasted in my entire life. Classic and traditional soup dumplings were delicious. This is a must try restaurant.

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! No wait time, amazing service from Tim-Bo (our server), another staff was singing his heart out to the old school tunes playing, really just good vibes! Highly recommend their soup dumplings and their karage chicken!

Pros:

Cons:
- TV. I don't understand why it is there. When I was trying to eat my eyes were hurting from that blinking all the time.
- Very noisy. I suppose that there was one new guy (short dark hair), that may be a partial excuse. While we were there (1 hour) at least 5 loud items were dropped.
- Quite dirty. That guy dropped a stack of small dishes for soy sauce and then just casually put it back to the clean stacks. There also was dirt in the WC area, unflashed poo and other stuff, but you can't blame that on stuff. There was a family with 2 or 3 kids, so probably kids are to blame.
- Place seems big enough, but when I sat by the table I had not enough space for my elbows to eat comfortably. There is too much stuff on the table not to worry about throwing it down by accident.

Went there because I was they had the magnificent 7 on their menu featuring 7 different flavors. The last time I had something like this was in Hong Kong so I was exited to try. Jingle Bao did not disappoint, their dumplings were packed with flavors and the liquid in there was perfect. I also ordered the jumbo one, although it was good I would probably stay with the small ones next time. The fried rice had a lot of oil but my kids ate it all.

Tim was the best server ever. He’s personable, kind, and very attentive to his customers. We’re visiting Vancouver from the US, and our meal here was great, and Tim’s service made it even better!

Extremely poor and RUDE service. Wanted to order takeout but was made to wait for 10 mins before someone came to take my order. Was told to stand outside to wait for my order when the store is barely half occupied. The worst is when I went in to check my order after 10 mins, all I was greeted was a rude question “didn’t I said your order is only ready after 15 mins! ”. Why can’t I check if my order is ready?

Got the multi-colour soup dumplings, and they were fantastic. The servers are very nice and were pleasant to chat with.

Great. Rainbow soup dumplings is pricey but worth to try once.

Deep fried shrimp is cheap but don't recommend. The best is the Bao.

$10 for 8 dumplings (mini?) with 1 tsp liquid (very nice scent and taste) and 1/4 tsp filling. Recipes online show 1 tbsp filling. No thanks! Feel like they think a new to.the experience means take them for all they got. Service not good as customers have to ask for things like menus, tea, water, etc. One server/cashier/bus boy on Saturday but understaffing is issue everywhere.

This was my first time ever having Bao and I’m
SO glad we came here. The food was delicious, fresh, and filling. The service & price was outstanding for how much tasty food you got. The staff is cheery and friendly, it was a great experience overall.

Very delicious bao's, would recommend the Magnificent 7 (different flavours you can choose from up to 7) the chicken, spicy and classic were all very good and the Sticky rice and Siu mai was delicious as all items were fresh from the kitchen. Super good, and light food!

Edit: May 17: Service was super friendly but was different than our first experience here, but after a slight hiccup during service, it was addressed and the items were comped. Would come here again thanks to the management for having us and look forward to eating here again! Still would recommend this place here too!

We had this delivered so I am only able to review the food. We ordered the edamame, pork soup dumpling, seaweed salad, sticky rice, and crystal crab dumplings. My favorite by far was the seaweed salad and pork soup dumplings, which I could have ordered more of and made a complete meal of and been perfectly happy! The sticky rice and crystal crab dumplings were tasty, but I felt their presentation exceeded flavor. Overall, delicious, fresh tasting food I would gladly order again.

The food is good, but you have to spend a little more to make sure you get full. I spent 30.48$, before tip. Me and my friend took 2 sets of 7 different colored soup dumplings. They were all really good except the spinach and cheddar (it has like liquid cheese and no meat). I think the best one was garlic, and he thinks it's the siracha one. I took one vegetables fried rice. It had a good portion and it was good. I thought the Korean barbecue meat was chill, but kinda sweet.
