Stopped by today to take a look and possibly make an appointment, was offered a seat right away so I thought, why not,
Got a fade cut from Veronika and was not disappointed, received a nice clean cut and her attention to detail was noticeable. Profesional establishment, great service, definitely making this my local place for a haircut.

Kam is a great barber with fantastic attention to detail. I always know what to expect when going to him for a cut

I’ve been taking my son to Jeff for a while now, and we’ve generally been happy-ish except for the fact that we never get the cut we ask for. It always seems to be something he would prefer to try (?). Sometimes it’s fine because we’re like “well it looks decent”, but the last few times its been too much and I feel compelled to warn others. 3 times ago, there was a lady (apprentice) observing the haircut, and I watched as Jeff clearly went well out of the scope of what was asked and my son left with what felt like an experimental haircut that was a lesson on how to cut a certain style (no idea what I’d even call it). It was super awkward, the lady was standing close watching the whole time, and it was super uncomfortable for me and my son (with no asking if we were ok with her observing or even a heads up). The haircut looked kind of “ok” at the end, but in no way was it realistic for my son to match or maintain on his own as Jeff blew it back and used a ton of product to sweep it back. The next day I had to try to “fix” it myself as it wasn’t manageable and looked like a faux hawk (my son gets a very basic haircut typically…longer on top, shorter on sides, no hard transition).

Then the next time we had to be very specific about not doing that again, and giving him a basic cut, and we were very clear about what we wanted. That one was a decent cut, and we assumed we could get the same again the next time. But instead, when I once again explained what we wanted very clearly, and my son specifically said keep it longer on top (Jeff asked it we went short last time), he proceeded to basically give him a flat top or military cut, and he just kept cutting and cutting. My son’s expression throughout said it all, and sadly it was beyond the point of intervening, but my son is mortified and won’t leave the house without a hat. Again, not the cut we asked for, not idea why it ended up the way it did, and it’s seemingly impossible to get a consistent cut. I can only assume that either Jeff does what he thinks is the best cut…. There are serious communication issues…. Or he keeps cutting because he can’t get it right. No idea which, but we won’t be going back. My son is furious and so am I. Haircuts should be simple, this place might not be the place for basic hair cuts.

Oh and side note, maybe don’t tell a 13yo kid to go see a dermatologist when cutting his hair. Parents are pretty good at handling that >:/

Have been coming here for almost 2 years now. Can always get me in on short notice and have never once had a bad experience. They genuinely care about their customers and I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone who wants a great haircut for great price. So glad I found this place

My first time at the barbershop I made an appointment online with Kam and everything went well I had a little bit of a wait when I got there but it is a that's fine it is a barber shop and great conversation during the haircut I should call it a hairstyle and very well-done overall super impressed 2 weeks later the hair still looks great definitely coming back highly recommended!

If you're looking for a baber give him a try. I think he takes pride in his work. You can't say that about all babers

Jeff is the single best barber I have ever had. He will walk you through what works best for your hair type, direction, face shape, thickness, etc. He is super knowledgeable. My suggestion is to walk in and just ask him what would look the best for you and let him do his thing.

I've been getting hair cut by Jeff for more than 10 years and always satisfied with his cut. Very clean, professional, great communication and excellent stylist.

So rude, unprofessional don’t know how to treat and talk with customers. Would never be going there again.worst service and wont recommend anyone either.

I’m new to the area just relocated from AB and I definitely needed a cut. I stumbled across JJ Barber shop and went it. Greeted with a smile and a chair by Paula, I sat down and I tell ya hands down she rocked it! I am so happy with my hair cut which is really hard usually, I have no desire to rock my ball cap everyday after this cut. I highly recommend and vouch for Paula and JJ Barber shop!

I know Jeff more than 20 years, he is a smart, talented, skillful and of course a professional. I introduced him to multiple people and guess what all were very satisfied, specially if you ask and listen to his professional suggestions.

Zoe was absolutely incrediable at cutting my 3 year old's hair. He is not great with clippers and has a lot of hair. Zoe took her time and cut his hair with just scissors. She was kind and warm and did an amazing job with his hair. We will definitely be back.

Went for a haircut and beard trim. Jeff is very detail-oriented. Has a philosophy/plan for how he cuts your hair. Explains what he is doing and why. Easily the best place in town.

I have a relatively clean shave (short) but Jeff still managed to give it that added touch.

He was my hair cut person from more than 20 years ago. No doubt in his professionalism. Beside being professional, he also has a great character and talking with him is wonderful. I had the chance of going to him when I was around and I wish I lived over there to be able to go there always. But definitely when anyone can, It’s a big mistake not going to JJ saloon!

My wife and I were looking for a new barber as we have recently moved cities and this is how we discovered Jeff. He had so many good reviews online that we were excited before we even met him and he certainly didn't dissapoint us! He is so talented and advanced compared to many other barbers we tried in Vancouver area! Jeff's technical skills are impecable, he's very friendly and chatty, makes you feel at ease and he does both men's and women's haircuts. It's already been a couple of weeks since the haircut but our hair is still looking great and it's so easy to style, because Jeff definitely knows what he is doing and he delivers! We're so happy we found him!

This was my first time visiting this salon. Nina was amazing.she attracted me with a great price as a first time client. She has many years of expereience from her home country and did an excellent job on my hard black Asian hair for a blonde balayage/highlights. She used the best products and took the time to treat my hair. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Nina:)!

Nina and Nicole did an amazing job today with my hair color.
I went to this salon based on a friend recommendation, after giving up on highlighting my hair ever again as I was never happy with the results. I have very thin hair and most hair dressers either burn and destroy my hair or what they do is not even slightly close to what I have in mind. I am so glad that I found these two nice ladies. I did a balayage with Nina and Nicole and I cannot be more happy about it. My hair is as healthy and shiny as ever and the color is even better than what I wanted. They are very patient, perfectionist, respectful and friendly. If you are looking for a grade A hair dressers look no more.

Initially, I read great reviews about Jeff & J Hair Salon and decided to give Jeff a call. He was booked up solid, but offered to cut my hair on his lunch break. I am so glad that I accepted his kind offer. I have been a very satisfied customer of Jeff for almost a year now. Jeff provides friendly service and 'excellent' hair cuts! I can highly recommend Jeff, and easily give him a 5 star review.

My son got a horrible hair cut 1. They cut it way to short 2. They made it very uneven 3. They cut a divot on the top right corner so it looks like he has a huge forhead 4. They cut the back of his neck so he was bleeding but there was one good thing at the end the gave my kids a full sized chocolate bar cause they felt so bad

This was my first time going to the salon and I was VERY impressed. Nina and Nicole worked on my hair and they were such beautiful humans who worked quickly and diligently. They made sure that every strand of hair was perfect and their Perfectionism obviously pays off! I would highly recommend them!
My fiancé also had his hair cut by roya, and she gave him the best cut he’s ever had! We were both very impressed and will definitely be back!

I had my highlights done by Nicole and Nina and they did such a wonderful job. They are both very professional. I was able to get the gray/platinum highlight without getting my hair burned. They would check every piece of hair to make sure it wasn't burned. If you are looking to get highlight or other services done I definitely recommend them. You won’t be disappointed.

Jeff and Arman are top! This place is by far the best in the tri cities and I would say one of the top in GVA. They will not leave a hair longer, the cuts are always even with am amazing fade and blend. Don't waste your time on barber shops or fancy salons. You want a solid men's cut that never disappoints? This is the place.

Nina & Nicole dyed my hair from black to a beautiful blonde today and they did amazing! They are such lovely people who really know what they're doing. Best hair colouring experience I have ever had; if you need your hair done I highly highly recommend Nina & Nicole! Wonderful people with loads of talent! Also everyone else working in the salon was so friendly and kind!

After reading the amazing reviews, we came looking for Arman. My 5 years old son needed a haircut, he has thick curly hair and we wanted a specific style, which Arman delivered beautifully. He took his time, you can see he knows what he is doing and strives for perfection. Very satisfied, we will keep coming here. Thank you Arman!

I didnt have a really good experience in this place, It began when my mother went there 3 years ago and she was so unhappy with her haircut but luckly she got refund for it, however my sister went there 1 year ago she wasn’t satisfied with her hair color, she said it wasnt the color that she wanted however I had to go there for some reason few days ago but it was suck a mistake cause they burned all of my hair I have almost no good hair left on my head so thats why I think its fair to give it a low rate since all three of us had a bad experience. Hope you make a better choice

I know Jeff from my childhoods and he was my wedding hair stylist as well. Still going to him and get my hair cut at his beautiful store with no questions. I highly recommend this place to every one who likes always to be stylish and well fashioned!
