Nice location. Only coffee shop open past 7. Staff are very friendly. The seating wasn't great but there was plenty. Clean and well maintained.

This is my go-to cafe for working on my laptop. Love the ambiance of this place.
However there is only one power outlet so if you are in need of charging your devices, this cafe may not be the best choice.
Real good baked goods though.

Huge selection of sandwiches, pastries and beverages. Great selection of veggie and vegan options, too. Outdoor seating is plentiful.

I feel that this is a JJ Bean pop up. There no charm in this coffee house compared to Victoria, Commercial, Main St or North Van. It's just a sterile box with a sign glued onto the concrete like 98% of new businesses.

This is a great location with plenty of parking in the back. There’s good seating both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating is along the store and also on the side street which makes it not as loud and being directly exposed to exhaust. The washrooms are individual stalls and kept clean. For those with babies, they have a changing station.

The staff are friendly and there’s a good selection of baked goods and wraps. I usually get the double chocolate cookie which is delicious and has a good amount of richness. The lattes are always amazing.

I really like coming here because of their huge patio, which is perfect for bringing your dog. I recommend trying their croissants as they’re baked fresh daily. My fave is their almond croissant, filled with custard. I love their espresso lattes but decided to try a chai tea latte. The chai flavour was lacking, but I like that they sprinkle cinnamon on top.

I go here frequently…. I’m currently on night shift and I don’t know what I would do with a frequent Americano from this place. I’m super grateful for a coworker telling me about this cafe- it’s two blocks out of my way on my route to work and I wouldn’t have known just how close it was had he not told me.

The Americano here is one of my favourites around and I’m a fussy coffee drinker… i have had about 4 or 5 different baked treats and they’ve been incredibly tasty each time. Tonight I tried a sandwich and it was good, I’ve had a wrap in the past and it was great.

Each and every one of the staff members have been friendly and I love seeing the regulars every single morning when I’m working dayshift.

Expensive. No lactose free milk, no hazelnut syrup. Less than a minute down the road there is a a better coffee shop.

Great location! Nice and clean, staff sometimes given me the wrong drink but they fix it quickly! Overall great!

Coming back for a short visit in Vancouver. I've tried their drip coffee, muffin and cookies before but it didn't suit my taste. It was too sweet.
Today, I ordered a cappucino.
Their cappucino is on the lighter side compared to others. Also not sure about the latte art

Green tea latte is not recommended here. And even if you order in a mug, they put it in a paper cup. I can't even adjust the tips I already paid.

Coffee was nice, cool place to sit and chat. If you plan on bringing your laptop their is good WiFI but no plug to charge your phone or laptop.

A good location for good coffee and some baked goods. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is well keep and tidy. There are lots of parking around.
I'm so glad that they still offer mugs and plates for eat in. It has a good patio outside too.
If you visit this area, this is the right one for a break.

Hands down the best cookies in all of Burnaby. All other hand crafted drinks are hot, fresh, and taste great. A clean, modern, easy to navigate shop with a decent sized patio to use. Friendly and personal service.

I use to come here mostly for the cookies. JJ Bean has the best cookies. I'm not sure what is going on with the baked goods because every time I come in now (over the past few weeks) the baked goods are limited. I don't know what happened to their cookies. Haven't seen them in weeks. I hope they come back because thats the main reason I come.

Yes, JJ Bean in general has a good reputation, but all you need to know is bugs bugs bugs all over the pasties in displays…it’s really disappointing and unappetizing. Definitely not where I would like to spend my money. When we called it out to staff, they said “oh, we see that all the time. ”: (
Sad for a neighborhood coffee shop that has so much potential.

When I told my elderly masked barista about how my doctor friends said that masking is absolutely useless she gave me a very dirty look. I will never buy coffee here again. JJ Bean has showed an attitude of leftard for far too long. I will go to Laughing Bean instead.

I liked the place a lot. Although the coffee tasted good, the options both for cookie and coffee were really low.

Beautiful location with gluten-free and vegetarian options:) First spot we found after checking a few spots that had veggie breakfast sandwiches!

I tried the vanilla shiver today. It was really bad, just some ice with a touch of coffee and cream.

I chose to come here with my family, so I could sit outside, meet with them and enjoy a cup of coffee. I found that JJ Bean here has a big outdoor seating area. It was awesome!

I had coffee or latte at other JJ Bean locations. I loved their beverages in general. Before I visited this location, I hoped for the same good experience and having good quality of beverages here as well!

The size or interior of this branch is very big! After the pandemic or when the restrictions were lifted, customers could enjoy indoor seating. That would be awesome! I love their interior design. It’s very modern, contemporary, white and clean. The outdoor seating areas has got many tables and chairs comparing to other coffee places. That’s why I said it was awesome!

I ordered latte with soy, milk and almond milk as well as a cup of black coffee and two cheese muffins. All of them were very delicious. Pricing was reasonable considering the good quality, presentation of everything and the environment.

I would love to come back here and enjoy dining inside the coffee shop one day. There is lots of street parking right on Hastings or small streets. Don’t need to worry about looking for a parking spot. It’s still free parking in this neighbourhood and I am hoping city of Burnaby will change the rules and laws here

It’s my first time to visit this branch to have Cafe latte I’m excited to taste their coffee because I saw they have lots of customers buying coffee that’s why I decided to try one even in a small size only but it’s kind of disappointing because I got my cafe latte it was cold and not hot enough to satisfied me base on my expectations Nd take note after I take my order I just walk few meters to sit outside and I saw my drinks look great and perfect because of the design that show on my foamy Cafe latte but when I start drinking it I cant believe it my coffee was cold I don’t like to go back and returned it and wait again to have another cafe latte because for sure I’ll get the same thing because it will brewed on the same coffee machine. Over all I will never come back again.

Recently increased a number of patio tables and chairs. Lots of seating available outside as of May 2021. I love their coffee but wish they had more non-coffee items for my kid.

Great coffee and service. I love their chicken wraps and iced coffee. Also the scones are delightfully moist and fresh. They could use better signage for the flow for social distancing.

It is good, clean, friendly. Currently following pandemic protocol. If you want coffee or tea, they got you. If you want milk alternatives they have those too.

I love the coffee and have been buying beans and getting an Americano every once in a while for the past year. I have always received consistently amazing service from the staff. I leave with a smile on my face, and I’m thankful for the kindness and care they put into serving customers. The new patio is pretty nice too!

Coffee was OK. Unfortunately they had the music blasting thus had to shout talk. They also had the front door propped open (it's 9 degrees outside today!) with the air con blasting. I was cold to the core even with my winter boots and jacket on indoors. Not sure if I would go back or recommend.

Great coffee, great baked goods, especially the muffins. Even the iced Americano has fantastic flavour. I guess they just use better beans. The outdoor seating and neighbourhood vibe is really nice as well.

Nice atmosphere. Not too many tables so I wouldn't want to study here for a long time but great place to get coffee and open late. The cookies were really good
