This is my favorite JJ Bean and quite possibly my favorite coffee shop in all of Vancouver. The staff are super friendly, the music is always good, the ambiance is relaxing, very "east van. "

Plus, they have "the best soy latte that you ever had. " (This is a song lyric yet it's also true.)

Thank you to everyone who comes together to create this space! I'm very grateful.

To expensive for the priced there! And now I don't wana go there anymore for food and drinks 5.25 for a scone! Robbery

I’ve yet to get a good, even decent tasting beverage from this establishment. I asked for a Hot chocolate i got a Luke warm that resembled nothing like a hot chocolate. The latte, was equally dish water Luke warm and unappealing. The baked goods, were okay but, they got the order wrong. $35 for 2 people in a quiet store and they couldn’t make us a decent drink.
The person taking our order just didn’t seem to care whether or not he got the orders correct. Both myself and my companion are baristas and were specific in our order.
I don’t know if it’s something JJ Bean has developed as a common temperature to serve their drinks at but, if I want a kid’s drink I will ask for it, as adult I am very capable of holding and drinking my ‘hot’ beverage well over 135 degrees/57c thank you.

JJ Bean was the first local coffee shop I can remember visiting 5.5 years ago when I moved to Vancouver. I have made a habit of trying to visit as many of their locations as I can (still have a few more to visit). The Powell Street location is the closest to my home. Each of the JJ Bean locations are unique. My only suggestion for this JJ Bean location would be refreshed seating.
