I'm a first-time customer. I really wasn't sure what to expect, calling up J&M for the first time to ask questions about a piece of jewelry on your website. Fortunately, Krystal picked up the phone. She was able to answer my questions easily, find the item I was curious about and describe it in great detail. During our five-minute call, I went from cautiously curious about the item in question to absolutely convinced that I had to have it.

Krystal went above and beyond - offering to temporarily hold the order for me while I figured out what my ring size was, even recognizing my phone number when I called back a little later - and promising to forward the shipment's tracking number to me. And then she did!

I've rarely been more delighted with ANY online transaction than I have been with my first J&M purchase. Krystal made ALL the difference! She's an absolute gem (forgive the pun). I have EVERY intention of becoming a return customer because I feel extremely confident that I'm in good hands with J&M.

I was visiting Vancouver from San Diego, CA. I saw on the Canadian Mint they were an authorized dealer. I am glad I was able to visit this dealer it had a big inventory of coins, bullion and banknotes. I was able to secure the Pure Silver Proof Set Kit 2023. Very awesome set. Hope if there is collectors around the area they come here. Would come here again!

Very easy to use website. I deal with 4 other coin sellers and their selection and prices are the best I have seen. I also like that they have a flat and reasonable delivery charge.

I love J&M! I’ve had custom made jewellery (a pair of earrings in 2015 and, more recently, my engagement ring) done from two different artists and both times were great experiences.
Crystal did my ring and it’s incredible. The pieces on the shelves also have a wide range of personality and style made by her who care about their craft and clients.

Beautiful quality jewelry (18k) and great service for all of your jewelry needs. I think the one negative review is more an issue with the customer and their treatment of the piece (no excessive chlorine or bleach should be used regularly) My family has numerous beautiful pieces in our possession, some from the 60’s and have maintained their quality for years.and J&M did so so well with their customer special thanks to crystal

I had a great experience at J&M when I took in an assortment of old family coins to sell. The process was smooth and Darren was excellent - very knowledgeable, patient and helpful!

Just want to say that I was once a customer it was OK (not great.kind of like that soup guy on Seinfeld) but never again. I parked idling in my truck recently at which someone from the store came to me and told me I was parked "illegally" for hours (been only there minutes) and was served with a notice. Surprised, I tried to explain i was there to go to the store to buy something and he didn't care and told me its for customers only.no apology.nothing as if i was lying. So if they don't want my cash business then I'll find a better place to go.

I had an amazing experience at J&M with Crystal and the team, they did an amazing job ensuring that my new earrings were exactly how I wanted it, custom made diamonds studs with pearls. It turned out beyond my expectations and I couldn’t have asked for better. I definitely recommend J&M to all my friends and family! I have visiting j&m since I was 6 years old. The selection is great and owner knows everything you need to know about coins. They have recently opened after being closed for renovations and the new store looks great.

Asked for two 2020 maples. Came home and realised the had given me two 2009's with milk spots. Disappointed is a massive understatement.

Avoid. I came in today (September 18,2020) to purchase $5.00 face value in junk silver mercury dimes and he wanted a 32.5% premium over the price of silver. Wouldn't lower price which is unreasonable and insulting. What kind of business sells circulated junk silver with a 32.5% premium? You're getting ripped off here.

If you are looking to buy precious metal coins or bullion, they are the spot. My recent visit saw many, many displays empty, like they were closing maybe or moving? They had what i wanted so no issue. While they could be more attentive to walkins, when they finally do notice you to ask to help, they do a good job.

I called in about a rolex watch today, and a lady yelled at me and told me she is going to hang up because I am wasting her time right now. I am a serious buyer, and she was very rude. Worst service ever.

I dont like there service spcially the arab guy started scream on me and he spoke Arabic with me that no body cant understand him. I wish I could talk to his boss but I couldn't find him as well as price so high than others store

Price gouging. Silver is at a low of 18/oz so they are trying to charge 25. They doubled the premium so us end users don't get a discount.
Shady business practice. Neber buy from them again.they tip you off when you sell to them and gouge the public when trying to buy.

Sold some gold jewelry here but later found I could have received a better price at Vancouver Gold Buyer down the street. Also had to wait before cashing the cheque. They weren't interested in buying silver here but I had no problem at Vancouver Gold.

Got mad at me because I didn't want to sell him a Tiffany necklace for $200 that was worth ten times that.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Don’t waste your time with this place. I went here to buy some coins. I asked 3 men for help and none of them would help me. One man literally sat there looking at coins, so after waiting for 15 minutes I walked out. I literally needed 5 minutes worth of service, and was going to buy several expensive silver coins. After this, I will never go back, and recommend not to waste your time here. There are plenty of coin stores in the lower mainland that value their customers and provide great customer service.

They might have all the goods but very terrible customer service will never come back here again.

Great selection, big store. They sell used omega and Rolex watches, coins, gems, rings, necklaces, gold nuggets, currency exchange, and more. One of the biggest places like this that I’ve been to. The staff are friendly and will help you till you find what you need.

First they ignore you and then they treat you like dirt. Stay away.

The worst customer service ever treated me like scum when i tryed too take my gold and silver into there shop too sell didnt even give me the time of day dont go too these biggets they have no respect and wont deal with you if they think your not sociably equal too them.

I went to see the "sale" they had - all the watches supposedly on sale were more expensive than on Amazon, jewellery was overpriced (100+ bucks for a small silver pendant with an amethyst? !), and on top of that, they blatantly lied to me when I went to the part where it was so obvious that jewellery and silverware was pre-owned (not just darkened, but obvious marks of usage, other people's names engraved etc.) - they said it's what they made themselves! Don't be tricked into buying anything here.

EDIT (as response is unavailable) : You are free to refund me half of the bucks that I paid for used bangle that the seller kept repeating was "made by your company", as well as two brooches from the same counter. Also, the new silver pendant and the ring that I bought "on sale" were together almost 300$, with a "discount"! Last time I checked, neither silver nor green amethysts are that costly.

Best precious metals prices in town. I've always had an excellent experience here, awesome service from all their staff, but the jewelry staff are especially great!

Woman was rude and condescending.had 5k cash in pocket to buy watch. Bought one somewhere else. Had done business here since 80s not anymore!

All this owner care about is money not to have a good relationship with his customers WHO IS LOYAL! I've been buying from this store for so many years and unfortunately today October 1,2018 I was been told to hurry up buying coins, because the owner told me that "time is money" they're not even busy that time I was there! My loyalty to this store to bring my business to them was ended by the very owner of the store! I will never ever to recommend this store again TO ANYONE on BROADWAY LOCATION AND ALSO THE METROTOWN BRANCH! I am very disappointed with this store owner! I AM NOW looking forward to bring my business to the other locations around lower mainland and online! I have to put one star so I can post this review or comments! ******very, very, poor loyal customer care!

My daughter collects coins and we usually go to Richmond to shop, last week I did not have enough time to drive to Richmond and decided to go to J&M jeweler in Vancouver, although I was a bit hesitant after reading the bad reviews, but I thought we will give it a try. We were greeted warmly by one of the sales people (Peyman) he was knowledgeable, patient and an excellent sales man, we spent 1000 dollars happily! Wanted to say thank you Peyman for excellent customer service and a wonderful experience.

Not comfortable to do business with these guys-very stiff. I was told this was the place to go to buy gold/silver by my dad who dealt with these guys in the 80s. I've been to J&M 3 times expecting service to get better and I have been put off 3 times by one thing or the other.

The last straw: I dropped 2k that day: $1680 on a Au maple leaf and $230 in Ag. I requested the staff to get 3 maples for me to compare. I chose one and then the owner straightened me out, "we choose the circulated maple for you generally".
I asked him why I couldn't choose the gold coin I like (in this case 1 of 3 presented). He said, "because of the time it takes to gather 3 coins instead of 1".
IT TAKES HIM TOO MUCH TIME TO GET A HANDFUL of coins where I will choose the one I like out of 3 or 4 coins? HOG WASH!

Dear owner. I dropped $1680 on 1 gold coin which will likely be treasure for the rest of my life or passed to love ones as inheritance. The staff cannot take an extra 30 seconds or 2 min allowing me to pick what I like? Total absurdity! Perhaps you guys need a better security protocol if it is too much trouble to go to the vault. Ya-never-know. I may have bought more if I could've seen more?

Dear owner, I expect to put %5 of my future income into silver and gold as a hedge. I expect to spend about $200-350 in silver monthly and about $3000 in gold per year. I gave you guys 3 shots but your customer service and your consistently higher bullion prices have turned me away.

Also, inquired about a gold watch I had been eyeing as a possible special gift and the lady demeaned my watch. I paid almost $1000 for it 25 years ago- this would be like paying $2800-3k for a watch today. My watch was passively-aggressively poo-pooed as a low-end time piece. Excuse me?
I am a skilled trades person and make between 95-110k per year but the nature of my job translates into me being dirty and sweaty most of the day (and when I come to your shop). I think I've been looked at as a waste of time rather than a guy who will buy a 15k watch for his 50th and 5-6k per year in silver and gold.
I'm not likely going to return for silver and gold. Lots of other cool stuff at J&M, but it is too prickly to do business there.

I am not from BC and have been to the store a couple of times in the past two years. Good selection of inventory, but I must admit customer service needs big improvement. The first time I was there the male salesperson commented several times about travelling to the vault for gold coins I wanted to see was a waste of his time. It's not my fault you choose to hide your gold away. After my purchase, the salesperson admitted he had pegged me wrong, not expecting me to buy as much as I did. Yep, people are being profiled the second they walk in. My second experience, I wanted more gold coins. The salesperson said I would need to wait for the other salesperson, who was busy, since he did not have vault access. Without even asking how long the other salesperson would be, it was suggested I leave and come back later. This guy was a total tool and even after I initially waited patiently for my turn I got the brush off and did not get a quote on a 10 oz silver coin. I pressed how long other sakesperson would be and was only 10 minutes. I purchased several gold coins that day. Again, I feel J&M are fortunate their competition does not have the same selection. It is easy to see the regulars are treated well, but unfamiliar customers are assumed a waste of time.
