Great view of the north shore mountains and downtown skyline. Great people watching also. Busy social park loads of dogs.

Although it is in the middle of the Vancouver city this park is very quiet and you can take some time to relax. I went to a music festival and everything was very nice.

Block size park with playground, community garden and baseball diamond. Big green space usually has loose dogs. Be careful where you sit or walk.
14 August 2022 15:25
What a sweet park! It’s got it all- a beautiful community garden, fruit trees, and grassy open space.
11 August 2022 21:03
Great park! Always nice to have a sit on the grass and enjoy the sun, very close to broadway so not to far away from transit
24 July 2022 12:05
A nice large, green area near downtown Vancouver. There are 3 benches to sit on. I wanted to do some reading, but these three, lonely benches are above the park, right at the sidewalk, all together.
If the city encourages park attendance, then why not more proper benches with backs on them, throughout this park?
Whenever I am here there is a huge, open space with perfect grass but minimal people there, for the large area.

I love it, all the Food Trucks were there, washrooms open, beautiful sunny day what else can you ask for, we really enjoyed

Great park to relax, not very crowded, washroom is clean but only one is available for the women out of three ‍️, there is a three tennis court available to use and a children play area (swing, slides etc.) lots of free parking around, it's a very big park to have a long walk. It's worth a visit.

The part has a clean new washroom, and there are craft beer places near by. The slope at the park is perfect for sliding down with water or snow. The community garden is a great addition to this place. I hope the playground will be updated soon, and more trees planted for shades.

Beautiful park. Well kept. (I wish my neighbourhood park was that well kept!)
I look forward to many more dinners in the park. Grest atmosphere, yet not crowded! Covid responsible people. Thank you!

I like this park because it's not too busy.
I has some bucket seat swings, a sand/rock area and a garden nearby.
If your child likes to run around this is also a good space.
31 July 2021 12:01
Views of downtown and mountains. Park is kept fairly well with trash bins along the sides. Great place to enjoy food trucks and coffee! Only down side is pay parking.
27 July 2021 23:58
One of my favourite local, neighbourhood parks. A great sense of community and belonging every time I come. Always nice running into people (and dogs) I know here, and it’s a great place to catch some sun, relax, and vibe.

The location is great, there are generally good truck around and plenty of beer within walking distance.

It does get a little busy.

I used to live in a walk-up at 6th & Alberta in 1967. Back in a Centennial year when there was a residential neighborhood just becoming the industrial area it is now. Long live Jonathan Rogers Park.
05 July 2021 21:50
Great place for a picnic but it’s always PACKEDDD on sunny days! I like it here because Milano Coffee is across the street in case you need caffeine and there are always 2-3 rotating food trucks parked here. There’s a small kids playground mostly of swings; swings for babies and kids (without the back part of seat).

I love love love the food. Always make a reservation. Their service is usually awesome. If service is important to you, try not to come while they crossover staff, it took half an hour to get a drink I ordered. Didnt even apologize for the wait or forgetting. Messy service during 3-5pm. Otherwise, I love this place. So cozy, everything on the menu is so good, perfect for all occasions.

Jonathan Rogers Park offers playing fields, playground, and spots for resting; a lovely community garden adds colour and vitality to the park. Relax on the grassy slopes and take in the views of downtown Vancouver, or bring a sled to celebrate a rare Vancouver snowfall.

Jonathan Rogers was a real estate developer, contractor, park board commissioner, city councillor and supporter of civic institutions. His wife, Elisabeth, was a generous philanthropist and supporter of many organizations in Vancouver, including the Symphony Society and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Jonathan and Elisabeth lived at 2050 Nelson Street from 1910 to 1945, and Elisabeth continued to live at 2050 Nelson Street until 1960.

Jonathan Rogers was born on July 30,1865, at “Plas Onn, ” Glyncorrwg, Denbighshire, Wales. His parents were Edward Rogers and Ann Davis. About 1882, Jonathan went to live in Liverpool, England. In May 1887 he arrived in Vancouver, after travelling on the first transcontinental passenger train through the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

By the 1890s, Jonathan had begun buying property in Vancouver. He also built several office buildings and commercial buildings in Vancouver. He became active in many local organizations, including the Y. M. C. A. In 1912, Jonathan built the Rogers Building, which still stands at the northeast corner of Granville Street and Pender Street.

Jonathan became a Vancouver alderman in 1906 and 1911. From 1908 until the 1940s he was a park commissioner.

Jonathan died in Vancouver on December 8,1945. He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver. He left large sums of money for many public causes, including funds for a park near the Vancouver City Hall. By 1958 the city had created Jonathan Rogers Park, which is in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver. It occupies the full block bounded by Seventh Avenue, Manitoba Street, Eighth Avenue and Columbia Street.

A decent area park though quite small. A backstop for a baseball game and enough grass for soccer. Kids playground equipment and a public washroom round out this little respet in an area increasingly overwhelmed by high density housing and traffic. May it outlast developer pressures at cityhall which commonly supercede the public good.

Pretty big park, with washrooms available and kids playground. It is dog friendly as long as you keep your dog leashed. Very popular among younge people

A great park, close to great breweries, food. It has washrooms, large open spaces, and community gardens. One of my favs.

Relaxing green space, in the heart of the city.
So happy to see parks come into popularity again as great hangout spaces. This soccer field is no different. Call your friends up and come chill out for a distanced visit at Jonathan Roger's Park.

Lots of people around enjoying the warm summer evening. Several groups seemed to be enjoying large gatherings with their bevvies of choice. Safe social distancing amongst the different groups.
19 October 2020 17:51
Dawg this park is packed now, but you get a view of the skyline and there are washrooms and cops don't care about young delinquents such as myself publicly skulling a cold one with the boys
19 October 2020 10:24
Nice park with plenty of room for games and merriment. A few too many kids for my liking but where doesn't?
12 October 2020 23:51
Nice simple park near Cambie Bridge. Was there for a socially distant gathering. Much cleaner than it was years ago
10 October 2020 6:41
A must. Because you get a six pack of beer right up the road or an amazing cup of coffee both are some of the best the city has to offer and enjoy the park with a blanket. Trust
09 October 2020 21:28
Taking consideration for the neighborhood in that area and respecting with do not liter your garbage aroound give the respect and liberty to park free.
01 May 2020 4:46
One of the best hangout park in the city. Lots of entertaining softball games to watch and plenty of Vancouver's best nearby brew pubs makes this a thriving scene during the spring and summer.
25 March 2020 21:44
There is a community garden here as well. A beautiful piece of land it's nice to have something like this in the middle of the city. The baseball diamond needs some work, but other than that the park itself provides entertainment all year round. The park is dog-friendly and there are usually a few fur babies running loose. Any unattended food is fair game.
23 March 2020 9:44
Fun park for dogs but not really a legal off leash park so watch out for enforcement officers. Lots of space for everyone. Just wish they had a designated off leash area.
19 February 2020 6:46
I found a hidden camera directly over the washroom stall toilet in mens washroom where someone ripped out a smoke detector. How horrifying
17 February 2020 13:12
Good sledding location for the kiddos in the winter. Also good coffee options across the street
02 December 2019 15:53
Would of been better with someone not as miserable and toxic as Crystal Imler.if it was her sister now THAT wpukd of meant something special.

13 August 2019 14:18
Great park considering close to DT nor need to go Stanley Park.

North view of Grouse mountains magnificent.

Wouldn't say it's a happening park with activity, pretty tranquil for most part.

Big field.
21 July 2019 17:53
A beautiful piece of land it's nice to have something like this in the middle of the city friendly people open Clean washrooms almost makes it worthwhile being in the most expensive city in the world.
11 July 2019 22:46
1 square block park with small kids playground, wading pool. Baseball diamond. Great place to toss a frisbee, have a picnic (beer / wine and pizza?), watch the sunset. Very limited parking
09 July 2019 13:15
Terrible ground conditions, anytime i exercise here i'm worried that I will roll an ankle or injure my knee.
02 July 2019 14:12
Dog walk central! What a great open space to let the dog rip and go! Had fun with a good friend and her dog at this park!
