My wife and I stopped in our way through town. Definitely will be coming back! We had the pesto cream and a prosciutto sandwich. Very delicious and fresh tasting!
I’ve been here before, chilliwack, food was great. Needed to order online for pick up this day but won’t do that again. Kids order was cancelled as they were out of Fet Alfredo at 1130? Was messaged that the order would be ready in the next time slot from what I had chose. Then Receive a text that it was ready 15 minutes ahead of my original time slot. When I arrived the place was empty so not sure why my sandwich had to be done so early then no one greeted me or said thanks for the order.my sandwich was of course soggy. I won’t order online again but will try again. Just miss when businesses appreciate their customers.
We've been going here since it first opened. Loved their meatballs and spaghetti as well as Alfredo's. Sorry to say the food was went downhill since they opened the new location in Vancouver. They no longer make their own pasta. The sauce/meatballs/Alfredo/lasagna didn't taste like before anymore. I hope they can put more love into their food. For now I am staying away from this place (after multiple consistent disappointment).
Like always, amazing sandwich. But the pasta was a big let down when compared to their branch at Alma St. The pasta we had at Alma St was great but at this chilliwack location was a big let down. Dry penne pasta and it was missing Alfredo sauce quantity and not same as Alma st.
Update - Since the reply from Joe’s Italian to reach out via email, i haven’t heard back from them, at all. Hoping they do reach out.
Had food catered for a party of 70 people. Jo’s was super accommodating, delivered to the place and very reasonably priced! 10/10 would order catering from them again and again!
Our supposedly large Caesar salad was tiny. We hadn’t eaten any of it before this picture was taken, I just pushed it to the side to show how little was in it. The flavour of the chicken fettuccine was really bland. I’m not usually one to add salt to food, but I added salt and pepper to make it taste better. We’ve ordered from here a few times and have tried a few different dishes, but they have been all very meh. Bland. It’s not bad food, but it’s not impressive either. And the salad portion was just sad
Went here years ago and remember liking it. Went today and staff was super friendly, we ordered sandwiches which were good BUT I ordered the "baked chicken" and was disappointed when it came with just cold cut chicken. I assumed it'd be toasted, was really craving something warm as I didn't see any soups available. I even added cheese thinking it'd melt over the chicken. That sucked but it was still good just not what I was expecting when I saw "Baked Chicken sandwich".
The sandwiches are decent the ceaser salad was really good but the spaghetti was so bland.no herbes garlic no taste bloated noodles. They no longer have lasagna or gnocchi
Tried it once before covid (at least I think it was before), and once after, and it's a pass for me. Everything could use a bit more salt, and the portions and pricing just don't jive.
Place a few years back was the best, always looked forward to eating here, stood by that then, lately not so much.
Went in today for Italian sandwiches, when I opened them, the sandwiches were DRENCHED in the Italian vinaigrette, the wrapped paper had sucked up a lot of it but the buns were soaked, lettuce was soggy, tried eating it but it was so acidic I couldn’t eat half of it, I suspect the lettuce was sitting in it for too long. Asked to have them remade with less vinaigrette which staff did with no issue & were kind, but the buns were hard this time so I ended up just rolling the meats up and eating it. Was truly disappointing. ***Again was was good, just food not so good***
Got sick the day after ordering take out from this place, and it was the first time I tried this place, pretty disappointed, never will I get food from here
My family loves Jo's, the sandwiches are amazing and made fresh, the pasta is perfect! My favorite is the artichoke salad:) They've always got a great Playlist of music on (not so loud that you can't have a convo) and they've got a big selection of Italian grocery items! Can't recommend them enough, what a great addition to our town
Ordered the chicken Alfredo and ceasar salad. Less than impressed with the portions. The contain should have been full and yet it was only half full. Tinniest ceases salad as well. Disappointed. Would not order again based on portion size
Just picked up lunch for 6, meatball sandwich, prosciutto, Italian cold cut, ceasar n house salads OMGOSH not 1 bad dish, this will be a regular place, can’t wait to try the gnocchi and other dishes.
Our family tried Jo's Italian deli for the first time. We ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and Italian both large size. The flavor was delicious, lots of toppings, my only complaint is the sandwich bread is that hard crusty style that sort of hurts the mouth, my kids had a harder time biting into it. We also ordered the spaghetti and the pesto gnocchi both were simple but good flavor, not amazing but not disappointing. I ordered some extra garlic bread and was surprised as to me its more of a thick focaccia style not very much garlic flavour. It is not the typical soft buttery garlic bread you might expect so depending on what kind of bread you prefer you may like their garlic bread more or less. So over all a good experience and you can tell the products used are good quality, however the bread let us down as it was more dry and a lot was not eaten.solid 4/5
It was our first time trying Jo's tonight and wow were we blown away! We got the family spaghetti and meatballs and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! (They say the family size is good for 4 people but we got 6 meals from it so it just depends on everyone's serving size.) New favorite Spaghetti place! Everything was good. The spaghetti, the meatballs, the garlic bread. It's made fresh daily and first come first serve so we didn't get to try the lasagna because it was already sold out for the day but that will be our next meal we try! 100% recommend Jo's Italian deli
I frequent this place for the sandwiches. They're all very tasty. I can't give 5 stars because the bread is sometimes extremely sharp and hard to eat and they don't always have everything in stock; they'll be out of large buns or chicken pesto, and this is disappointing. They quality of the sandwiches has been inconsistent lately, and because I won't know until I open up my sandwiches at home that the quality is lacking, I choose not to order. Sometimes my sandwiches are nice and hearty with a good amount of meat and dressing, and sometimes they're bone-dry with hardly any meat. This is either a staffing issue or a closing time issue, except I'm never ordering right before closing so why they can't fill and dress the sandwiches consistently is disappointing. Please do better.
1. The Italian sandwich was pretty good delicious! 2. The tomato soup was ok - perhaps missing some seasoning 3. The coffee was extremely hot (boiling) which made the coffee taste like burnt.
Although the website posted they didn’t offer delivery, nor did they offer the posted combo specials. Despite wanting to purchase locally, our small office gathering had to use Skip the Dishes to get their food. We did not receive the special request we made for our vegan colleague, nor did they provide napkins or cutlery to eat salads and pasta. Food was okay, nothing special. Quite disappointed actually.
Had a craving for a sub. We saw good reviews for Joe's. Food was OK. Spicy sauce was a highlight. Of the 4 meals ordered no one finished. Ordered double meat and my tomato slice was thicker. Will not be coming back. Sorry Joe.
It was too hot and i didn't want to cook anything so I ordered the family spaghetti. It had enough for 5 good helpings, garlic bread is yummeroo too. I saved the meatballs and leftover sauce to make meatball subs after. I haven't tried any sandwiches yet but I will
Best Italian Restaurant in Chilliwack! The food is fresh and tastes amazing and very reasonable prices. The staff is also very friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Must try!
Probably the best sandwich in town. The Italian is my favourite. And the store front has some great treasures if you’re looking for specialty ingredients.
I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for myself and the Italian sandwich for my boyfriend off DoorDash (both were amazing) and I kid you not the Italian sandwich was so unbelievably good I ordered another one for myself for pick up an hour later. Literally one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. 10000/10
Delicious food and excellent service. The server even ran the order out to me as my toddler fell asleep in the car, which was SO kind of her. Will eat here again for sure!
This is the place to stop if you’re on your way through from Kamloops/Kelowna. Great sandwiches for the kids and the regular sandwiches are delish. The deli is a great place to get the groceries you need after a long trip too.
Husband and I were passing through Chilliwack and found Jo’s Italian Deli. We ordered an Italian and a Prociutto sandwich. OMG we were so glad we popped in! Delicious sandwiches at a reasonable price. Owner was extremely friendly, the restaurant was clean and staff honoured COVID guidelines. Was able to pick up a few extras at the lovely little grocery area as well. Will definitely be back!
We both had the meatball sandwich and it did not disappoint! The meatballs we're excellent and the bread was so good! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
Had the veggie sanwhich with extra hot sauce and pesto. So tasty. The bread was crusty and squishy and very fresh. The sandwich was plenty for a very hungry lady who was hours passed lunch time. The women behind the counter were friendly and made my sandwich quickly.
After hearing really good reviews about Jo’s, I was finally able to try it out. I had the chicken pesto sandwich (with fresh mozzarella). Truly one of the best sandwiches I have had before. I cannot wait to try the other items on the menu. 10/10!
First time ordering food here. Had the spaghetti and meatballs and a ceasar salad. I was super impressed. The meatballs had no filler (breadcrumbs) or was not overpowering very meaty with chunks of garlic and herbs throughout. Their marinara (gravy) is amazing tastes so fresh. I'm not sure the pasta was fresh made but it didn't matter because the sauce and meatballs really made the dish. Now onto the salad. Wow. I was speechless. I can't say I've ever had such a rich delicious ceasar salad. I could have just had the salad for dinner and I would have been satisfied. I will be back again and again and again!
Great sandwiches, ordered the meatball and chicken pesto, super tasty! Professional, friendly staff with a nice selection of Italian products. Highly recommend.
Home cooking.fresh & reasonable prices! Love the pasta salad & meatball sandwiches! Friendly owners, clean & inviting. Whenever we are in Chilliwack we make sure to stop by.
Decided to go to jo’s for the first time last night! We were greeted by the girl at the front. We left laughing so hard our bellies hurt, she’s a funny one! Truly a happy atmosphere. The food by the way. Amazing! The garlic bread is delicious! Meatballs are to die for! Will be back!
