Joyride Beauty Salon - Best Non Toxic Nails, Lashes and Brow services in Vancouver

Love this place. The technicians are all nice, all the services I’ve had (pedis mostly) have been done to high standard. The décor & atmosphere makes it a pleasant space to spend an hour.

My daughters had their first junior pedi service there. Staff was very friendly and helpful with their color selections and pedi service. They enjoyed it. We will def go back again.

I just had a relaxing experience at Joyride. Kimia gave me a perfect pedicure. I will definitely be back soon! It is a calm and very clean environment. I recommend Joyride for mani-pedi indulgence.

I was really looking forward to trying out this spot but unfortunately it was really disappointing. We booked the expecting mom manicure for me and the kids manicure for my daughter as a special treat on my birthday, and while the staff was super kind, the manicures were really poorly done. The mom manicure promised specialty products and extra massage, but the service itself was a very basic manicure that was applied way too thick, barely given a topcoat, no cuticle oil… it chipped the same day, and there was no extra massage element, just a super quick hand massage as usual. The kids manicure was described as an offering with special child friendly polishes, but my daughter just picked something off the wall and no one really explained the choices for her - the tech also put two super thick layers of polish on her tiny nails so it took AGES to dry (not ideal for a five year old’s first manicure!) Overall I would say the descriptions on the website don’t match the reality of the services, and it’s not really worth paying extra to go here versus any other Vancouver nail spot.

I highly recommend Joyride. I’ve been coming here for my manicures and pedicures for a few years now. Fabulous service and my nails always look awesome. Don’t bother going anywhere else, I made that mistake and ended up back here so they could fix it! (Thank you, Jas!)

Had a mani-pedi with Veronika and it was straight up amazing. She's a great conversationalist and her attention to detail is unparalleled - I left the salon feeling like I had brand new feet!

Very disappointed and do not recommend this nail salon - at least not for bio gel manicures. I paid about $100 for a bio gel and shellac manicure, which usually lasts me at least 2.5 weeks. This time, it did not even last a week. Each nail broke at the same spot - another salon technician told me it was because the technician made the gel too heavy so my natural nails broke off. I have three nails left out of ten… I don’t think this is acceptable. I called the salon and felt badly doing so, as I don’t want anyone to get in trouble. I was told I was blackmailing them by requesting a full refund and by sharing I intended on leaving a review. She offered a complimentary mani but I don’t live in Vancouver and am no longer there and also would not feel comfortable and trusting to go back. The person also laughed at me on the phone. Unprofessional in multiple ways and poor customer service. Disappointed, to say the least. **I have pictures but couldn’t see how to post them.

This was a delightful find for a nail salon - excellent customer service all around! The spa ambience has a positive and calming effect. I am definitely returning here.

The salon itself is beautiful and the non-toxic makes a difference in the atmosphere - no strong chemical smells. It breaks the boundaries of traditional salon service while providing an elevated experience. HIGHLY recommend.

One of the best beauti experiences in my life The first time when the quality of the conversation was even higher than all the beauty services (and those were beyond amazing). All the girls who greeted me in the salon were very easy-going and I felt unbelievably comfortable during all the procedures. Such lovely ambience - especially when Anahita put on relaxing Spanish guitar. Her and Lee were super sweet, attentive, and welcoming. As a tourist not knowing what to expect, it was the perfect place. Plus I was able to book the day of (which they say is uncommon). Love that they use non-toxic products and still totally reasonably priced. Much gratitude xx

Staff friendly but there was nothing in the service provided that justified charging 35-40% more than other salons. Too expensive for a pedicure!

Gel pedicure is off on 3 of my toes after only 3 weeks, girl also made a rude comment about one of my toes. Won’t go back.

Two stars for this utterly horrible experience. Veronica, the woman who did my manicure and pedicure was amazing. I was getting one done for my wedding which was two days out. Very unfortunately, I had found out that morning that my mother was barred from getting on the plane that morning due to a cold coming on, and was not going to be attending my wedding. I was on the verge of tears explaining to the blonde receptionist that my mother was not coming to her appointment, just my sister and I. She coldly looked at me and said, “Well we have a cancellation policy. ” And charged me 100% of the service, while the woman who was originally supposed to do my service, worked on another client. So they did not lose money due to my mother’s absence. The receptionist said she could add a paraffin service to our appointment, which I agreed to, but we didn’t receive it. She was condescending to us during our appointments when she briskly told us not to take the sample nails out of the book. We tried to enjoy this experience, but it was honestly wretched… and about $100 dollars after tax. I got a half leg wax done and my knees were hairy at the end so I had to shave on my wedding day anyway. Do not waste your time and money here.

Absolutely incredible salon! I recently moved to Vancouver and have been looking for a new nail salon and I am so happy to have finally found it! The first time I went, Lee and Nav were incredible that I couldn’t wait to go back. The salon itself is very nice and clean, the staff are friendly and the service is very thorough with a very relaxing hot towel and massage. They also have an excellent variety of colours. I can’t stop looking at my nails I love them so much! Thank you: ’)

We took a small group from a local teen mentorship program to Joyride this weekend and we had the BEST experience. From booking to follow up, the staff were warm, flexible, knowledgable and accommodating. Also, their nail technicians did such beautiful work! Would highly recommend Joyride if you are looking for a place to go with your girlfriends or to simply treat yourself.

Please, avoid! My husband got me a gift card to this place, not sure why, i think he read "best non toxic" and he thought I would like that. I went there today. I have never written a review complaning about anything that I can remember, but I am still having a hard time from my experience today. Someone called Anahita Limouei waxed my face and my eyebrows and it was the most horrible experience I have had in a beauty saloon (not that I have visited many). At first I told her that I had sensitive skin in order for her to be more careful, she responded by saying "everyone has sensitive skin" and that her skin was "the most sensitive of all". I attempted to communicate once more without success. She was very violent and aggresive with her waxing, so much that she ripped of my skin (photos attached). When she noticed I was reacting to her aggresive touch she rubbed in a very hard manner a wet towel on my face. I shiver when I remember the moment. After that she forced me to put an aloe vera cream on my raw skin (which I knew would make it worse. I refused 3 times but she was very insistant) and followed this action by again- very violently- rubbing it off when she noticed- again- I was reacting to the substance. Now I have my face burned for christmas. The saloon proceeded to overcharge me a small amount of money (They billed separetly waxing of the face and eyebrows, while if one does the 2 procedures together they are cheaper- and earlier that day someone assured me doing this was possible). I was in such shock from the experience that when the receptionist asked me if I wanted to leave a tip I just ended up leaving the rest of the value of my gift card since I would never want to set foot in there again. Please, find somewhere else. The service here is truly awful (at least the waxing service by Anahita).

I hade a gel+ mani here 6 days ago. I didn’t go to any saloon for two years because of covid so i was scared at first, but every thing was so clean and i felt so relaxed there. Anahita did my nails she was so friendly and did the exact thing i wanted. I didn’t write the review till now because i wanted to make sure my nails last. They look good after 6 days. Ps: They have happy hours which I used and saved some money.

I had a scheduled appointment for a manicure at 9am. I arrived at my appointment at 9am and was told that the individual doing my service is not in yet. I was seated at a table, picked out a colour, and waited ten minutes. During this ten minutes, the other technician was making multiple phone calls. I was then told that my manicurist would not be coming in today due to illness and that I would have to reschedule for another day.

I drove 45 minutes from Surrey to attend the appointment and paid for parking. I understand that in our current times, people should not be out in public if they are not feeling well, however it would have been nice to be informed prior to my scheduled appointment time that my service would be cancelled as opposed to 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to have started.

When I expressed my grievance to the salon, I was told that the technician doing my service had called in sick at 8: 40 (meaning they waited 30 minutes before informing me of the cancelled appointment)

When I expressed my grievance to the owner, Irina, she explained that the salon didn’t open until 9am and the “receptionist did her best” so that’s why I wasn’t told prior to 9am. When I asked why I wasn’t informed when I arrived at 9am and had to wait until 9: 10a to have my appointment cancelled and why the reception didn’t contact me until 9: 40am, she explained that the reception wasn’t scheduled to come in until later that day and it wouldn’t have made sense for the receptionist to come in earlier. She also belittled that extra 10 minutes I had to wait. She continued to explain that in their industry things are done differently, that’s how things are, and that this situation was beyond their control.

The owner offered me 20% my next service along with a complimentary add-on but I continually explained that 20% off does not cover the gas and parking I paid to attend the first appointment. The owner told me that’s the best she can do. The owner verbally told me she understood, however her actions and words conveyed a different message. I definitely left feeling treated unfairly, uncared for as a client, and unheard.

My first and last time there for sure.

Totally enjoyed my first time at Joyride! Got a lash tint and gel mani with french tip. Anahita did the lash tint and was so gentle and precise, it was easily the best lash experience I've ever had (others have left me crying). 3 weeks later and the color is still going strong! Navpreet was my nail artist and she was fabulous. Really skilled at applying and her french tip is super clean. She was so patient with me as I struggled to pick a color! She gave me an awesome recommendation and I love my nails. This is the longest a gel mani has lasted on my nails and it's not chipping or separating at all. Would recommend Joyride 100%, it's such a cute salon and the staff are excellent.

I was so fortunate to have sofi to do my pedi, but unfortunately that was the only positive thing I can say about my very FIRST experience with Joyride.
I booked two services for hard gel repair on hand and regular pedi two days prior to my appointment, walked in to the salon and found out they booked me just for a color change mani instead of repair. I wish the coordinator was not on the phone or in the back room for the entire time I was there so we could sort things out sooner and after quite some time that she came and I told her the situation I didn’t get even a simple apology or anything for that matter, Costumer service there the absolute worst for me!
Joyride is a very good place to do your nails but you have to go through a very weak costumer service first which I do not recommend.

I loved my experience here! The salon is super cute, clean, and has absolutely zero chemical smells. The staff is super friendly and all the services are extremely hygienic. They offer waterless pedicures, and even for their regular pedicures, they use separate basins and disinfect them completely between customers.

Today was my first time at Joyride, although I've been wanting to go forever! Being vegan, I was excited to support a local business that follows these practices. Pleasantly surprised by the overall esthetic, good COVID measures in place and great service. Anahita did a beautiful pedicure and was very kind and sweet. I will definitely be coming back!

Gracious staff, work well done, but calluses on my feet have been removed more completely at many other pedicures salons. Also rushed out before nails dry.

I had a half set of classic lashes done at Joyride yesterday and it was the BEST lash experience I've ever had! Clara had me in and out within 45 minutes and her work is amazing. I won't be going anywhere else!

Staff and place was nice but I would not recommend the last lift. It is done super unprofessionally: my bottom lashes were permed along with the top, and not even all my top lashes were lifted. The lift isn’t even, and the shape is more of a 90 degree angle than a nice lift. And that’s not it, the tips of my lashes are bending in all directions and the tips also touch my eyelids causing major discomfort. They don’t even offer a refund:/

Joyride is a beautifully place. Such a “Joy” to sit and be pampered for a bit by lovely professionals. And my feet look great!

An unique salon on a busy 4th street but once you’re in, you’ll not be bothered by the hustle and bustle of Vancouver at least I didn’t. I got my lashes & gel pedicure done on a same appointment after work and it was really nice. They gave me free jar of lotion. Not a sample but a full jar! Definitely will come again! Nice & friendly staff!

I went for a pedicure as a mother's day gift yesterday. It was a strange experience. It was end of day, and I assumed the staff might be tired after a busy day, but I felt almost unwelcome in a way. Between the lack lustre pedicure I received where I had to guide the pedicurist through missing steps and the polish is streaky, and the fact that the manager asked me right in front of the pedicurist how much I wanted to tip so she could add it to the card and settle it up before she left - it all felt like a lesser than desired experience.

Always a great experience at Joyride. Have been going there for years and really appreciate their thoughtful and responsible approach to a Beauty Salon. Clean, lots of non-toxic options and professional and well trained staff. Always leave with happy hands and feet!

I enjoyed my first mani in over a year at Joyride in March 2021. It was a great experience, with full Covid protocols in place. I love the 'donut sprinkle' nail art that I requested - it looks fabulous and is exactly what I asked for in celebration for spring. I also had my brows done by my lovely esthetician Navpreet, and am very happy with the results there too. An excellent experience all around!

Today was my first time with Joyride and I must say, my husband and I had a great time. Booking appointment was really easy (we did it through phone call). Both our manicure and pedicure stations were ready before we arrived (which was very professional). We were asked to sanitize our hands upon entering, all staff was wearing masks and there weren’t any other clients except we two (which made us feel comfortable and safe). Anahita was my technician while Melinda was my husband’s. They both were extremely knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. We even indulged in small talks which was sweet I thought. They also provided hot towels after pedicure and manicure which was heavenly. I loved the vibe too?
Overall a pleasant experience. I will be trying their facial too. Highly recommended.

Leila did an amazing job on my brows, which are not easy to tame! Very covid conscious, she even sanitized the thread. Will be my go to place for eyebrows now.

My first visit to Joyride has been amazing! I was warmly greeted by Irina, salon manager, an offered a hot cup of tea. My nail technician, Anahita, was very welcoming and professional. She did my nails for my best friend's wedding and they looked so gorgeous. I love that this salon has its own skincare line that you can purchase, as well as other services that are all about sustainability and reducing our impact on environment. I will be coming back to do my nails again!

I just had my first gel manicure at Joyride, and had such a great experience with Anahita! She did a great job on my nails, and is such a sweet girl with a very kind heart. She made sure I was happy with my nail arts. She was even pickier than myself on her work! I will definitely be back!

I’ve bought multiple gift certificates for friends for this place and finally got the opportunity to go myself for the prenatal (Sofia) pedicure. I was so looking forward to it - and it was a real let down. They were running late, I wasn’t offered water or tea, no special treatment other than a vegan friendly nail polish remover (I had no polish on), no information offered about the products used, no massage to speak of. Pedicure itself was fine - but definitely not what I expected. Very disappointing. Hope they improve this service.

I usually don't really like to get my nails done, because I felt uncomfortable at most places I tried in the past, but Joyride is totally different! The atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. I've so far had my nails done by Melinda, Tsukasa & Anahita and all of them were amazing, friendly and did a great job! I haven't tried any of their other services yet, but am excited to do so in the future as I trust they'll be just as awesome.

I had Maki and Ayaki and they were super friendly and had an amazing eye for detail. I’ll definitely be going back!
