I rescued my kitten here! They were very helpful and kind i 100% recommend this vet very kind and helpful

Not accepting new clients. Even though I was a client I suppose after 6 years of not going it no longer applies.

Its never a fun time going to the vet. The staff makes it so much easier. Every Doctor ive seen here have been knowledgeable and not pushy with unnecessary tests.

Staff is exceptionally professional always open late always helpful they take care of all three of my dogs with great loving expertise and a nice human touch as well

JDF vet has been my vet since we moved to the island 19 years ago. As this was an Air Force posting move, I have been to many different hospitals over 35 years. I have never once thought about changing to a different hospital. I have had many cats (currently 4) & they have all received top notch care. They are always there for the animals & go above & beyond esp when faced with end of life hard decisions.
With the pandemic they are pretty full with patients however that doesn't mean that they just say we are full up & cant possibly fit you in, they find a way if it's urgent. I had Dr Stone, who had a full day already, say to bring my cat & she would look at him between patients. When we discovered that it was an end of life decision she was so supportive.
I recommend them to everyone.

We're very grateful for the care this clinic has provided our pets over the years. They go out of their way to fit us in when needed, and provide calm, skilled attention to not only our pets but to us, as well! Very happy with the service there.

Dr. Doering and his staff were amazing with our very fearful and anxious rescue dog! They made our visit as comfortable as possible for our pup and worked with her needs. We have had some less positive experiences at other clinics in the past so we are so happy to have found a clinic with such amazing staff! We appreciate the care, attention, and understanding of Dr. Doering and can't thank him enough!

For me and my Service Ryder is the place to go, friendly staff and very helpful. Vets are really outstanding, caring and you can tell they love their job. Always great service and help, quick apts if needed, this place is Ryder and Yance approved and recommend for sure.

First of all I will say the vet my cat saw was amazing. That being said I was not pleased with their new policy. They have a new policy that all cats need to be in carriers. However they neglected to mention this when I made my appointment. Upon arrival I noticed a sign that read “all cats need to be in a carrier if you don’t have a carrier one will be provided. ” Since I didn’t have a carrier I asked for one. After the lady came back from looking for a carrier she informed me that she was unable to find one but I could buy one of the cardboard ones for $10-$15 dollars she didn’t seem to certain on the price. After asking me “would you like to buy one” I just looked at her and said “doesn’t look like I have much of a choice. ” After seeing the vet I was given the bill where I was surprised to see $18.44 added to the total for this piece of cardboard that probably cost a dollar. So to sum up great vet but they won’t hesitate to gouge you if they get the chance.

Very caring staff. Highly recommend. They made a very difficult day for me, not as tough. They cared for my sweet cat up until her final moments.

I can not thank you enough for making time to fit my clients girl Havana in. My experiences with pets and their health issues sometimes shadows the possibility of a real issue. Havana checked out awesome today, just some underlying stuff, but she was good to go. All my questions were answered except the one I forgot to ask, then I called back and spoke to Irene. Irene had reassured me that my concerns and worries were validated. I often know and notice problems that arise when in care and the owners are to busy to notice. Heck my own cat I missed her issues, yet had her checked a week before I went on holidays. I had her checked by the vet. When I returned I had to put her down. So what I am saying is never to blame yourself if you dont notice your pets stuff. Being an educated and highly attentive sitter / dog walker, I notice EVERYTHING that would be invisible to the owners eyes.

I would give the reception 5 stars, however if you would like to have a caring, and informative veterinarian for your furry babies, Dr Stone would not be the one for you!
Long term relationships with your vet and fur baby need to be based on positivity.

We found a huge gap in transparency and communication related to the final cost of a visit. They were not upfront or clear about the cost of a visit until the final invoice. I think they could improve on being more transparent with customers particularly around the cost/fees. A 20 minute visit to get booster shots ended up being $352 with $162 being the vaccines and $190 being a service fee. When questioned about the fee management had a short temper and was easily aggravated/angered. We have since been banned by this vet due to us questioning the value of service that we received for $190 during a simple 20 minute visit.

Went in for an "end of life" appointment for our cat. Staff got us into a room right away. Doctor was very compassionate and made everything go as smoothly as possible. Words can't describe how grateful we are to everyone at the Juan De Fuca Vet Clinic. Thank you.

Staff took wonderful care of my kitty cat, I got her chipped for the first time, the vet techs who gave her the quick poke were so kind and efficient!

First time visiting yesterday. Very efficient and kind.
Really took the time to explain options and reality for various procedures. I really appreciated it. They were very considerate of the cost of things and more importantly, the emotional well being of my cat.

I had to bring my dog into Juan de fuca because my regular vet was closed for the holidays, I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get me an appointment that day. I saw dr stone and she was amazing. You can tell she loves her job, she genuinely cares about the animals and their owners. She was way more informative than my vet has ever been with me, I’m seriously considering switching vets now.

Much more reasonable costs than my previous vet and a wider range of services. Very good with my dog. Early days yet but so far so good!

We love our vet! The staff here is so friendly. Our cat is not super thrilled coming here, but she does pretty well considering. The vet was very friendly and good at getting our cat to warm up to her, so they really do a good job of minimizing the stress in a normally somewhat stressful situation.
One time our cat was very sick (vomiting/diarrhea/not eating for several days) and the vet knew exactly what to do without us even needing to bring our cat in. We just called, went in to get some supplements, and our cat was in much better condition just a few hours later. It was a real relief to be able to depend on them to be so quick like that.
Also, we love Nelly, who rescued our cat, and we can't express how thankful we are for the Smile Fund and Nelly's rescue work. She really matched us perfectly with our cat, who is our perfect sidekick and a perfect fit for our family. Thank you so much, Nelly!
