READ. BEWARE.

I was excited to try Junction. Unfortunately I was disappointed, not once but twice.
Initially I went for dinner, I talked to the host then was left at the podium for 10 min only to be questioned why I was there. I decided to leave, but came back to give the drag show a chance. I was told the show only started 10 min ago so I was charged full price. It turns out there was only 10 min left and was still charged. When getting a drink, the bartender, Jack, had to remake my long island a few times as it was mostly coke. I decided to change drink to a vodka soda and was given a disgraceful amount of attitude. I don't like to call people out by name but this was ridiculous. Overall, I'm disappointed in myself for trying to give this establishment a second chance.

I have not eaten here but from 10: 30 to close it is always a great time. Staff are kind, the performers are amazing, and the music is always fun to dance to.

If you are looking for a place where you can be yourself confidently, feel a strong sense of community, and make new friends this is where I would suggest you go. Staff and customers put in the effort to make this a safe environment in many different ways. The sense of community here is so strong and you always feel celebrated. This will always be my favorite place to go for a night out to have fun.

The staff make everyone feel welcome and are very friendly
Being open late every day is a fantastic plus, especially living in the area.
Also no shortage of DRAG shows and other events that are always a fun positive time!

. And the drinks and food are pretty standard and good quality for a pub.
No complaints there

The drag shows are good, but do not trust the security here. I fainted because of a medical condition and was seizing on the floor and bleeding profusely from my mouth. According to my friends the security asked if I had taken anything, then wondered aloud if they should call an ambulance, before deciding to just pick me up and put me on the streets. I came to as they were dragging me out and it took my friends an hour to help me to the hospital. Even if I had been overdosing like they assumed, this is not how to treat someone who clearly needs medical attention.

The Junction poutine is purrfect! It’s the right mix of crunchy and soggy, and the gravy was solidly hearty! We had the chicken burger and the chicken wrap, both could have been more flavorful. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The layout and decor are visually stimulating.

Omg! Every time I’ve been here, nothing but fun! The staff are pro’s. The absolutely BEST burgers in the city period! Congrats to management and Jake our waiter you really made our Friday! ️

Their burgers are 100% the best in town! Always a good time here, the staff are so fun and the patio is the best in the west end. Can't wait for drag shows to come back!

We were there about 2 weeks ago. I ordered the Shepherd's pie. It was disgracefully bad. They use frozen vegetables in this dish.absolutely disgusting. No wonder it is only $14 but I wouldn't pay $5 for it again.

They have heater on patio and comfortable, but the burger was terrible. (The bun is from cheap supermarket stuff and the meat doesn’t be cooked well and I felt sick from the burger.) This place is good for just drinking beer.

I went in with some friends for a drink on the patio but I had a very unpleasant encounter with Ted, one of the severs at the Junction.

I got up to go to the washroom and Ted stopped me insisting I needed a mask but I had explained to him earlier I had a medical exemption that prevents me from wearing one. I reminded him and he said he did not care.

I proceeded to show him a print out of the BC Human Rights code (attached to this review) for him to learn that I had the right not to wear one and not be harassed. Ted said it is private property and he did not care.

Private property or not. The Junction is a Business open to the public with a license granted by the province of British Columbia and the laws that govern the province.

I’m curious to learn what Teds managers think about the Junction loosing customers, considering business is slow as is, over discrimination.

Unfortunately Ted had an ego driven power trip and chose illegal discrimination. Well, I won’t let it slide. I have reported this as a BC human rights violation and I certainly won’t be visiting again.

Also the drinks had no fruit garnish. Apparently they don’t serve anything that the bartenders have to touch. Don’t they touch the glasses? This is a first.

Management, please inform your staff of the law and remind them that they can not override it. Here, it’s attached below:

Junction has always been the go to safe and fun place for all of us to hang out and be ourselves and find that special person or dance the night away with your best friends! During this pandemic they have managed to stay open and THRIVE, and we are so happy to see it! We went to the patio the other day and the quesadillas were amazing! Please support them so we can keep them open! ️

I went there with my boyfriend who is in a wheelchair on a bright sunny day (so you know it's going to be busy)! Kid you not, the WHOLE PATIO was accessible for him. Complete shocker in the best way possible. Power chair and manual chair friendly! Not only that but the general crowd they brought in were really understanding and friendly.

But holy come on an empty stomach! Their 7oz burgers are huge! And decent easy drinking beers to wash it all down.
