I don’t know waffles could be like that! Expectations of all other waffles have now been raised.

The waffles are super delicious and made from scratch! The people are very nice! I will definitely be back and recommend this place for sure!

I thought the food was quite expensive. I was at least expecting fresh fruit for the cost but instead got what looked like defrosted frozen fruit. It's a shame though because the service and atmosphere was lovely.

The owners are awesome, passionate, generous, hospitable, friendly and have a really hidden gem and AMAZING waffles and breakfast! HIGHLY recommend:)

Stopped in after work and ordered the eggs Benedict with ham. Id have to say that was the best I’ve ever had. The waffle and hollandaise sauce was perfect.
I do however wish it came with a side of something for the price, but overall it was a 10/10

Kathy and Calvin are very sweet people who generally love providing a space for people to feel comfortable and relax. They really do go above and beyond with their service.

Their waffles are a great joy to eat as well. If you don’t have time to sit down for one, grab one to go! Their cinnamon and Nutella waffles are wonderful.

I had the Croc Benny waffle and Nutella lovers waffle, both tasted amazing! I've been back a few times now and both the food and service are consistently wonderful!

I love how unassuming this place is. It reminds me of the good ol' days. If you don't expect much looking in from the outside, you'd definitely be in for a surprise. The ambiance is bright and welcoming. The waffles are crispy, yet fluffy and light. The owner is warm-hearted and kind. I will definitely come back here.

Best waffle place in Vancouver, we live close by and the food and service is amazing! Def recommend for a homemade breakfast.

When in for breakfast came out with an amazing culinary experience, sights, taste, vibe all off the hook! A Mama& Papa joint, literally! I was educated on the history and the day today operation of this unique waffle restaurant by the 2 owners the Chef and the front of the house wonderful, delightful, sweetheart of a "Lady"! They spoke of how the waffles were made and the obstacles they have overcome to maintain this lovely diner! They truly put their hearts and lots of care in maintaining this really unique eatery! If your in the neighborhood or in the city or have the need for tasty well prepared waffles you should make an effort to visit, you will not be disappointed! This restaurant and the owners are truly what makes dining out a great experience! 10 out of 10 for food.
100 out of ten for atmosphere and personality.
Definitely will be going back to try some of the other waffles.

Kathy the owner is such a lovely person, and we loved talking to her. Also, a big thank you to the chef, Calvin Klein, and his wife’s secret waffle recipe. Yum!

I was really hoping that this spot would be a hidden gem, unfortunately the food quality fell short.

At $21 per dish, we heard the microwave go off many times, I was advised that this location does not have a vent hence why the waffles are not made fresh to order which is quite disappointing. We asked for hollandise on the side, when the dish came it was on the waffle and we asked for our poached eggs to be soft but turned out to be medium/hard side (we understand now that it cannot be soft since they are not cooking with actual stove top) most dishes are cooked either via microwave or oven.

The service was great, the female owner was very pleasant and friendly. Just wished that the food quality matched the quality of the service.

Did this place buy reviews or something? Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had so far in Vancouver. Food is terrible, service is slow, and prices are high.

Went on a Monday at lunch to check it out for the first time. We saw a sign for a waffle place off Hastings and immediately put it in our schedule to go. Right away we were asked if we had been there and the menu and style of waffles was explained. They are bready decadent waffles that reminded us more of delicious pastry. The vibes are immaculate and the service was fast. Kathy makes amazing waffles, and Calvin her husband came and thanked us personally! Grateful to have a small town, local community place right in the city! 100000/10

We visited this place while on vacation (June 12th) If you want a nice experience & Excellent food, (especially the waffles) by very nice people, do yourself a favor add more joy to your vacation & eat here. We loved it!

Great local spot! Prices, coffee, and food were all good. I ordered the Nutella and banana/strawberry waffle. The restaurant’s decor is cute and cozy. The owners are very friendly. Will come again!

We just happened to stop by here and I'm glad we did! The waffles were amazing. The slight sweetness paired really well with the savory toppings. The ingredients seem to be very high quality.

Amazing pumpkin pie waffle and the pulled pork was good too. I wish they had a pulled pork eggs Benedict one.

I cannot get enough of this place. My partner and I try to stop in at least once a week. I usually go for the sweeter waffle varieties, but their waffle bennies are fantastic too! The smores waffle is sweet without being too overwhelming, but the cinnamon bun waffle with strawberry topping will always be my favorite. The couple that run the restaurant are lovely, and we look forward to chatting with them every time we go in.

I don’t usually leave reviews but after being here I just had to.
The food is a solid 10/10 and the service is even better. Came for the waffles and stayed for the conversation. The workers here are absolutely lovely and I’ll definitely be visiting here again soon!

What a great place for brunch!
It's been a while I wanted to visit this place and it really surprised me!

I went for brunch with my roommate and my partner on December 25th, and it was a treat! They were very warm, kind and attentive. They took their time to explain us the menu and their specials.

I had the pizza waffle and it was delicious!

My new favourite place for brunch and/or breakfast!

I just like their food. I always get great customer service there. The place is well organised and the cashiers are always very welcoming. Would recommend to others.

All of the reviews on here are spot on. The food was delicious and the environment has such a positive energy. I tried the kangaroo sausage and its super delicious. Definitely coming back here when I visit again!

Had a great experience here! This place is a bit of a hidden gem! Me and my boyfriend strolled in after having seen this place from many commutes along Hastings and we were very curious. The customer service is above and beyond! We were feeling adventurous and had the crocodile meat waffles & the ostrich meat waffles (I know! I had no idea this existed here, either!) Both were surprisingly really delicious. We are both most definitely coming back. The bottomless coffee was also good! Thank you for the great experience and I look forward to exploring the menu more soon:)

My boyfriend and I were in Vancouver for the Canada Day long weekend and were recommended Just Waffles by our Air Bnb host - and WOW, it did not disappoint. Not only were the waffles the best we've ever had, but the customer service by Kathy and Calvin is second to none! These two are so passionate about their business <3! We only wish we had a Just Waffles in Regina Sask! Thanks so much Kathy & Calvin for everything!

Absolutely delicious comfort food. Very friendly owners/staff. The space is a little small, we stayed a while catching up with an old friend and were not once encouraged to hurry up and move along. Excellent and cozy atmosphere.

Just had mango and kangaroo sausage benny waffle and Strawberry s'more dessert waffle for brunch, really good waffles and great selection of types of waffles. Cosy place and friendly people.

The owners Calvin and Kathy are a delight, and so genuine in their love for preparing leige waffles. The waffles are delicious and reasonably priced. This is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.

The passion the host puts forward is amazing! The food is 5 star quickly made and delicious. The place is small but Kathy makes it feel cozy. I just stumbled across this for a quick breakfast and now it will be a weekend tradition.

Me and my fiance live in Washington. My family flew in for the weekend, so we headed to Vancouver. This was a spot I picked last minute this morning and hoped it would be good. Little did I know my aunt was not a waffle fan, but seriously this place had the best tasting waffles any of us have ever eaten. She even loved hers; not just liked it but loved it.

Kathy was so amazing. She helped us pick tourist spots for the day and was so informative and engaging with us. We loved her. Calvin came out and introduced himself as well. They are such a great team and have a great little gem. I wish this was in our area.

I had the Nutella waffle with bananas and ice cream. The others had regular waffles ; one with ham eggs Benedict, the other with bacon eggs Benedict, and the third with mixed fruit / whipped cream on top.

I had an absolutely amazing time! The people were great to be around and the little shop was more than I ever could have expected.

Oh. My. Gosh. Five stars all the way. By far the best Liege waffles in Vancouver. What a hidden secret. Not really hidden, but very unsuspecting. My gf told me I had to go try their waffles out (I had driven by weekly but wasn't sure) and I'm so glad I did. I thought I had found good Liege waffles at a couple other places but they don't come close to JW. The owner was there and he was super friendly as was the woman at the counter who took my order. Hands-down best Liege waffles in Vancouver. It's small so I recommend taking them to go, but they do have about ten small tables inside. Wish I could give them ten stars.
