Kaisereck Deli

The hot dogs are delicious, I just thought the bread and sausage were a little dry. The prices are a little high.

We had cheddar and potato mini perogies and onion and potato mini perogies. Apparently perogies is Ukrainian food. Definitely advice against ordering this. Very bland and tasteless.

I was on a tight budget and ordered potato and onion pierogis with both fixings of onions and sour cream for this place. They gave me a really generous portion of them for 8 or 9 CAD. I almost couldn’t finish them but the taste was so good I cleared the bowl in less than 10 minutes. Definitely need to try the bratwursts when I come back to Vancouver.

Got the sausage & pierogi platter. Sausage, sauerkraut and grilled onions were good but the pierogis were just starchy with very minimal stuffing in each. Would skip the pierogis next time.

Unfortunately, pierogies weren't that tasty. I couldn't tell any difference between the ones with cheese and the ones with onions.
Service also seemed listless.

Fantastic sausages and sandwiches, they also have a lovely patio around the back where you can enjoy a drink with your food.

Got the Jagerchnitzel, I've had better schnitzel but it was pretty good regardless. Decent portions, service was extremely fast

I wish we were more hungry when we went through. We'd been eating and grazing all day, but we wanted to try something. So, we ordered the Poutine French Fries. And boy, am I glad we did. They were delicious! The fries were crisp, it was a very big portion, and it was all screaming hot. No soggy fries here.

Really nice staff, good portion sizes and tasty Stiegl beer, but the pretzel was very disappointing for a German deli: It was entirely soft, looked to have been made industrially (and looked nothing like some of the photos on here, without any slit in the bottom) and had nothing to do with the pretzels I’ve had in Germany and Austria. Sad

I also would’ve really appreciated some more German-tasting veggie options than an Italian-seasoned Beyond Meat sausage. There’s even vegan Currywurst in Berlin nowadays.

Located inside the Granville public market. The workers were super friendly and patient. They even agreed to deep fry the perogies for me since they weren't as busy at the time. Service was great!

There are many excellent dining choices at the Granville Island Public Market and Kaisereck Deli is definitely one of them. If you're in the mood for sausage/sandwich, come here first. The staff is friendly, patient and hardworking. Grab a bratwurst & bier or one of the many fresh deli sandwiches for a relatively affordable price. The pickles are yummy! My experience at the Kaisereck deli at the Granville island public market was an incredibly good one. The staff handled the busy rush of customers with grace and positivity. The woman who made my wrap (and my day) was helpful, accommodating and an expert at constructing wraps. (I unfortunately did not catch her name but she did have a flower tattoo on her left arm). Thank you, it was absolutely delicious:)

Must try sausage and perogies (perogy plate). If you like fried stuff, I would suggest getting the perogies fried. You won’t regret it. If you want it to be more authentic, you can have them boiled. They come with delicious caramelized onions, sauerkraut, and sour cream, garnished with green onions.

They get quite busy, especially midday weekend, so be prepared for that.

The perogies didn’t have cheddar and lacked salt and pepper for me (also it’s not german food). My friend liked the Currywurst though

Great food for a great price! I ordered the perogy plate and it came with two types of perogies (cheese and onion) and one sausage (I got the turkey sausage). The serving size was HUGE and was enough to feed two people. My plate was literally overflowing! They have some of the best perogies I have ever had. The sauerkraut and pickled peppers were a nice touch. I think they should sell their sauerkraut and peppers because they were so good that I wanted to take some home!

Great spot in the Granville Island Public markets, was a queue so took that as a good sign! Ordered the pierogis, huge serving and pretty tasty. A little oily at the bottom though.

I ate in the dining area with a great view of the water and had the sausage sampler with sides of grilled onions and sauerkraut. It was a great lunch and a fir price. Attentive staff and a nice break while visiting Granville Island public Market.

Easily one of the best food places in the market. The Bratwurst is perfect, sauerkraut is great as well.

Good sausages, nicely prepared. The potato salad isn't German style, but the schnitzel is good, the sauerkraut is good, and the fries are great. The staff are thoughtful and hard-working. It's a little unclear where to go to one, but look closely at the signage, and you'll figure it out.

Had one spicy bratwurst each with a friend. I was not the biggest fan of the bread, but friend and I both agreed that we could probably have a wurst or two more if we didn't already have dinner plans. Service was pleasant as well, despite it being very busy and loud. Hope to visit this place again.

Friendly + quick service, nice patio, and yummy food! I like that they are generous with their caramelized onions, and I especially recommend their sausage! Patio is a nice setup and is covered.

I had the Schnitzel which was not very good I'm afraid. The breading was weird and it kinda stuck to the meat. As a German it wasn't really something I'd call a Schnitzel.
The Sauerkraut was good, just a bit dry.
I'll be back to try some of the other dishes.

I was surprised how tiny the kid’s grilled cheese sandwich was. It was about 4” square 1/2” thick for $9. I know its the Granville Island Touristy pricing but i felt it was almost a rip off. My 6yrs old was still hungry after he ate it so I took him to the Sandbar and their kid’s meals were also $9 but more nutritious and tasted better at a beautiful dining room with great customer service.
I regret I didnt go to the Sandbar from the beginning.

3.5 s. Their outdoor patio setting is great for enjoying the sausage, beer and scenery. Friendly service.

Great food, friendly at reasonable prices. We sat on the outside deck, so were served by wait staff who were efficient, responsive and friendly. Having just returned from Germany, I'd say their food is comparable. I highly recommend them.

Really liked the currywurst, super enjoyable slice of Germany. Very friendly staff and line moved quickly even tho it was busy.jagerschnitzel was thicker than expected but sauce tasted very legit, paprika and mushroom.

Lineup is huge during weekends but it deserves. Right and left lineup depending on what you want to buy. They have great fresh hotdog with different varieties all beef, turkey, and polish. After choosing yours, you can choose your condiments and then you will pay a reasonable price but for sure more than others. Patio is great and you can enjoy especially if sunny.

Unfortunately they do not serve their famous hotdogs in a donut everyday, but the hotdog was delicious with a bun regardless. Amazing service as well!

We really enjoyed the food here. What a perfect way to spend a sunny weekend sitting in a patio at granville island having cold beer and delicious bratwurst. The service was excellent, we didn't have to wait long for anything and they have good selections of sausages, perogies and beer. This place could get very busy so we were lucky to get seated right away.

Average food, prices so-so. The perogies are garbage, just a gooey-sticky pile of boiled dough with no taste or flavor. Skip that.
15% tip automatically added to the bill. This is bad practice, it is a tip for God's sake, not a tax. I will drop an extra star for this.
I don't see visiting them again.

Food was good, staff was friendly, mustard was so horseradish-y that it was burning my nose because i kept eating my sausage mustard up instead of mustard down (touching the tongue before the roof of the mouth is better to avoid pain).

10/10 would eat here again

I ordered a Reuben sandwich for take away, but the dark rye bread was so stale that I actually couldn’t bite through my sandwich. I ate it within a five minute walk of the deli, so it was still warm. I considered taking it back, but I was already established at a picnic table at the end of Boatlift Lane. I resorted to eating just the filling — which itself was very disappointing considering the disparity between the generous portions featured on Instagram vs my experience. For $13.23 (including 15% tip) - not good value considering all the options available on Granville Island.

We loved being able to have a beer on the patio outside the market with a nice view. Food was really good!

What do you need after market trip in a hot day. Right, a large glass of the cold beer and nice German sausage. Tasty and perfect service. Thank you!:)

Love it, there is veggie hot dog. How it works is if you are ordering hotdogs go left window, sandwiches right. Beer go to patio. There is beer on tap!

The bratwurst sausage was great. The perogies were soggy and flavourless. The server was needlessly rude.

I did not like the peroggis, nothing wow seriously. On the other hand, the Bratwurst sausage really tasty. Reasonable price for the regular size and good quality of sausage. Service not too bad.

Sad to say I have never had a turkey bacon club but I'm so thankful I waited. The best sandwich I have ever had! Plus the kaiser bun is so soft and crunchy it makes the sandwich! Oh and their fries are the best. Their homemade garlic aioli is delicious and addictive. I will definitely be back for the sandwiches. A go to must for granville Island. And its great to take for picnics as well and watch the boats.

Fantastic addition to Granville Island and solid little patio gem. Best to go on week night evenings as it isn't too busy. Perogies were delicious, mulled wine was perfectly spiced and warm. Love the festive decor and ambiance. Servers were all super friendly and excellent service. Would visit again!

I dine in this nice place a lot! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I visit this place regularly. The meals are great, the staff members are polite and the cost is affordable. I like eating in this place to have a decent dinner.

Amazing bratwurst and amazing customer service. The tall man that made our sandwiches went above and beyond. Incredibly patience with my indecisive order style. It was insanely good food and service. Will make the trip to Granville Island again, just to get another meal from this place.

Went here a week ago and i thought the food was GREAT! I don't go to G. Island often, but will def stop here every time i do and i'm hungry. Staff was super friendly and kind too! Great job all:)

I had the Schnitzel sandwich for $11 - it was very poor. First, the schnitzel is already cooked, so they just grab a patty off a stack and put it in a panini press to heat it. The schnitzel was dry, stale and tough - terrible. They overdosed the sandwich with sauerkraut - maybe to try to compensate for the poor schnitzel. I strongly recommend that you avoid Kaisereck Deli.

I wouldn't eat here again. The sausage was hardly cooked and the bun was hard on the ends, I ended up throwing it out along with the cash I spent on it.

Love this place - excellent German Sausages and pierogies.

Always delicious! I've never been anything but impressed with Kaisereck, as a sandwich lover this is my #1 local sandwich shop!

Came here today during lunch hour for a hot dog. I had to ask three times if I could please have my receipt, the third time the girl rolled her eyes and gave it to me. There was no line up, not a super busy day. Not sure what the deal was.

The staff here are SO nice and I’m so happy to have found my new favourite vegan meal on the island. They do a delicious beyond meat sausage either as a hot dog or a perogie plate with vegan perogies. So forward thinking and it will pay off for them I’m sure! Delicious!

If you eat ANYTHING here aside from the sandwiches go for the dogs! Great warm hot off the grill hot dogs with a snap (if you get the polish). Personally i like mine with mayo and cheese melted slightly in the oven with a toasted bun. I never went wrong eating there!

The staff was incredibly welcoming, overly generous. The food tasted homemade. The light rye bread was very fresh. I was given a free cookie too.

We came at around lunch time on my friends birthday. The lady there was so sweet! The food is amazing and we sat right outside on the picnic tables with live music. Great way to spend a day exploring

Customer service was impeccable! Our sandwich artist was happy to comply with a series of extra requests and even took the liberty of making sure my sandwich was symmetrically assembled and cut!

It was busy on Canada Day but that’s no excuse for both guys behind the counter to be jerks. Also they stab the plastic utensils into the food upright automatically and I didn’t need them but the knife didn’t stick and fell down into the public side of the cash register and he just restabbed the contaminated knife back into my food. Food was just okay but not worth dealing with their attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put food back after dropping it on the floor because they just don’t care about the customers. I don’t feel well after eating the food. Gross. Sauerkraut is not tart enough, so the perogy plate feels too greasy and not balanced.

The German sausage is on point. You can get add extra side, which is available on the side of the vendor. Good food. Can't go wrong eating here. The perogies are okay. Reminds me of eating dim sum.
