Kal Tire

Was told my tire swap would be about 1.5 hours. Showed up at the time I was told and was told that there would be another hour for alignment. Almost an hour and a half later, my car still isn't finished and people are walking around dragging their heels looks like techs are hanging around the front desks. I went to purchase some groceries thinking I would be able to show up and go home and now my groceries are warming up and expiring. Not a happy customer considering I've spent almost $1000 on tires and the service.

15 minutes before closing, I went there as an emergency in hopes to get 1 of my tire fixed due to a puncture. I guess the guy I spoke with was having a bad day and just wants to go home. With no hesitation, I was rudely rejected and got a big NO as they are closing. Maybe next time, change your hours to until 4: 30 if you don’t want customers coming in around quarter to 5.

Anyway, got a better service from another place. They fixed the puncture in less than 10 mins.

Truly disappointing and stressful experience at this Kal-Tire location. When I got back in my car after a seasonal tire change it was reeking of burnt clutch (a smell that didn’t full go away until the next day), and the alignment they did was so bad I had to turn around after about 3 blocks of driving to get them to “fix it”. Manpreet (I believe), to his credit, at the front desk was understanding and got it back in to redo the alignment which was an improvement but clearly not perfect. Annoyingly I only had so much time and if they couldn’t get it correct on the second attempt I don’t think they ever would. My clutch feels noticeably worse the day after, with the burning smell reappearing in reverse and second gear specifically. Be wary if you have a manual car as there is no indication they know how to drive them here. Attached is a video of the on centre driving position after initial “alignment”.

Good Service, friendly staff and quick. I was disappointed they didn't want to price match a Costco promo of buy 4 get $150 off, however they did match the regular price of the tires. If you are looking for the best possible price It maybe better to go directly to Costco next time to take advantage of their manufacturer promotions.

If you need fast, efficient, and friendly service, you should go here. I had an issue with the engine and the manager reassured me right away. They were prompt with ordering the part and the customer service was unreal. I would recommend 1000%. Thanks Kal Tire!

Booked two cars in to replace the tires. Customer service when dropping off the car was ok. Work was done to schedule and pick up was ok. Later in the night had gone out for dinner and when leaving to come home front tire was flat. Had to pump it up (luckily we had a compressor) and discovered the valve stem was leaking. So tightened the stem & leak stopped. The TPMS light did not come on (was working before the tires were changed). This when it fell apart. Discussed the issue with the location & their response was "someone must have tampered with it".
Really!
"Someone" would take the trouble to open the valve cap, loosen the stem just a little & put the valve cap back on!
I understand mistakes happen, acknowledging the issue & looking into it instead of making an excuse would have been the right thing to do.
Will never use a Kal Tire again and taking every opportunity to spread the word. Unfortunately for Kal Tire I have heard bad service stories from a few others already, confirming the poor customer service & workmanship.

They won't except your price on parts? Because they can't mark them up through the roof! Same as foundation and midus! All in for the top price to stick it customers? My price for there prices are a quarter of there's? There for? ! They don't want people like me coming around! They are vampires, praying on the uneducated people in auto Tech! Sad! It really is! Look at the tv adds! There your friends!? Till they have your car in pieces on the hoist! Then the true colors come forth!

Excellent service from a wonderful staff member named Gurpartap Singh. Found a great deal on tires and work done on suspension.

Called ahead to bring flat tire in for a repair they said they were not busy, got there and they did not have time to look at it and asked we leave it for a few hours, was a little irritated but it is what it is.
The tire was unrepairable so had to get a new tire price was ok only took 15 minutes to replace the tire while we waited.

Excellent staff, competitive prices, great work - never had an issue with the Kal KG location. Recommended!

Awesome customer service, friendly folks on the counters and in the shop, I called the store and talked to Avninder to get an urgent oil change, though they were super busy but still took me in and did the oil change and it was quick as well. Plus they changed the vipers for me that I brought and requested them. Very satisfied with this location’s service and highly recommend this place

I had smoke coming out of my tire and called this location to see if they could look at my car right away. The Manager (Av) provided exceptional service. He was super knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate how quickly the
Kal tire team was able to complete the repairs. I had my car back before the end of day! Highly recommend this location.

I did oil change for my car
my car has 2 types of sound at front wheel, they tried to find, took my car 15 minutes for test drive, but still they couldn’t find the issue
I am not mechanic, but I know there is something wrong with the car, first things is barring sound when the speed is over 60k I can feel it the 2nd is I guess shocks or something els, when driving at small bumps I can hear a sound, They not listening to you to explain about your car. It was my first time there and will be the last time.

Kal handles our fleet of trucks. The Surrey location was fast and efficient. Time is money and Av and mechanical staff took care of things fast! Well done gentlemen!

The majority of the people that work there do not wear masks or they wear them around their chin. They only want to up-sell you on everything and trying to scam you. If I didn't need new tires installed and an alignment done I wouldn't have gone here. I definitely would have gone elsewhere if my work schedule allowed for it. My bill nearly doubled what I was quoted on the phone! The guy at the front didn't know anything and gave me such a hassle and contradicted what they told me over the phone. I hate this place.

Had my tire repaired here and the experience was great! Employee that helped me was nice. Went to pay for my repair and they covered the cost for me! Will come back for new tires in the future.

Staff are friendly. I got my suspension repaired for my B200. No BS, they didn't try to sell me stuff that I don't need nor claim that there are other "issues" on my car. Will come back again for future repairs.

Awful service. We dropped by last week to schedule a tire installation service and was confirmed. Found today that there was no appointment booked.

I'll never come back to this location and will not be reccomending it to my friends and family.

Unimpressed. I've been to multiple Kaltires and this one doesn't meet the standards of the others. At around 2pm, I called to ask about an appointment for a tire repair for a nail today, and a gruff man said, "We don't take appointments, first come first served. Bring it in and we'll look at it. We close at 5. " I drove from my office nearby 5 minutes later, and the person at the front counter said "We don't have time today, we're fully booked. Come back tomorrow or leave your car here overnight". Why waste my time and not just say we have no time today, come first thing tomorrow over the phone.

Called my regular Kaltire in Coquitlam and it's like night and day. Polite, fit me in with an appointment, despite there being 2 others ahead of me and I was in and out in 30 minutes despite them being busy with other cars the whole time.

Skip this Kaltire there are better ones out there.

Great service for my flat tire. As I had bought my tires 2 years ago, I did not expect to get it for free.

Worst service ever. They are charging $ 80
To fix a flat tire for Tesla. Said be ready in 1 hour. After 1 hour said they forgot about it. Bottom line, I ll never used them.

Went in 4 months ago for new tires and discovered by our mechanic yesterday that the wheel alignment done when we got the new tires was incorrectly done by kaltire (in coquitlam). As a result, there was more than usual wear on one of our tires.
Went in today to this location to get it fixed, however they refused to fix their error. Will not be returning back to kaltire and would not recommend.

Went to this location a few weeks ago because my rear tire was leaking air. The guy working on my tire seemed to be in quite a hurry, probably because I went there one hour before closing. He said there was no issue he could find and that he replaced the valve stem and applied sealant on the tire. Two weeks and 45 dollars later, the issue is back!

I bought my set of summer tires from these guys they mounted them so I could change them myself I went back ther today to get some air and set the sensors buddy tried charging me 69 +tax for 2 tires. Sorry I had to walk out that's overpriced when other shops will do it for free or 15 bucs I would a paid.forget Kal never will I buy tires from this dealer again

Very good experience, Av was very easy to deal with and seems to be very knowledgeable about his work too. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

I brought my car in this morning to have a puncture repaired. I was happy to be helped by knowledgeable and kind staff members who assisted me immediately with my car. Management here is lucky to have individuals like Nick around who are effortlessly good at customer service. After only 30 minutes my car tire was all patched up and I was feeling great about choosing Kal Tire. I'll be back for all my future tire needs. I will make sure to pay forward the kindness you showed me today.

I take my rating back, it was a 5 star. Until an hour later my rear wheel falls off, I go to inspect the other wheels and the lug nuts are all loose. I will be sending you guys the repair bill I don't recommend this place left me with a very bad experience.

Went in to get my Camry tire changed, the staff welcomed me. Kept me updated on my Service and I got the car back quicker than I had expected. Highly recommend this shop for anyone looking for good quick service

Dec 28 2020 Went in looking for tires for my truck they had them on with alignment in 2 hours with out a appointment Love this place took my g6 here and they were able to help with the handling.upgraded my car to a Cadillac cts and they were able to get me in and got me out the door in my busy schedule I'll always bring my car here

Great service at this store.reccommended tires for our 1 ton passerger van, they have been a very good choice.quiet ride good traction.we had a puncture during the "snowmaggedon" busy day and you guys came through big time, fixed the tire quickly even though you were so busy and FREE!

Had a flat and they fixed if for free.made me feel all warm and cozy inside.when it was time for.winter tires I came back great service and they just happened to have better prices than all the other places I checked online.this is my spot now

Came in for an oil change and to get a thermostat check. Ended up with a cracked windshield and a bent hood on the drivers side and you don't do glass or autobody repairs. Thanks for gas lighting me instead of being honest and talking to me.

They were friendly and had a tidy, organized shop, a spotless washroom, and also a warm and comfortable place to wait for my tire change to be completed.

Have been dealing with Newton outlet for many years, and wife had made an 8 a.m. Appt to have winter tires changed. Nobody she spoke to bothered to tell her that this branch was closed ~4 months ago.and we did not know - neither is there any indication on the door to indicate this closure, or where the nearest location may be. She then decided to make later appt at Fleetwood, as her morning was already ruined. She just called to say that she had been sitting there for over 1 1/2 hours and noticed her car sitting outside.nobody bothered to tell her, or call her cell #, to inform her that the work had been finished, even though the paperwork had been handed in. She would have ended up sitting there even longer. What has happened to your, previous, good service? It appears that it is now completely non-existent.

Waste of Time - Bunch of Clowns
Recently, I called in for parts which one of the associates confirmed availability for order over the phone with freight free of charge. So I made a trip all the way to the store to make down payment (which he said it was required) to find out that the parts are actually no longer available and now have to bring it from multiple different locations with expensive freight charges - are you guys okay?

I asked for another parts in stock at the store, the other associate asked me to bring in the rim which I did and he didn't even taken a look at the rim and said they don't have exact size for it.why then ask me to bring in the rim in the first place (smh)

Didn't ask before test driving car, turned off dashcam while doing so. Considering I use a dashcam for insurance purposes I find what they did unacceptable. They also did not notice the problem with my brakes. Tires are great but I picked them out, so thank me I guess.

Only been here a few times now but every time I call or come in, I get amazing service. Everyone I've encountered here is friendly, patient and has great customer service skills. They always try to accommodate their customers which is so appreciated, because you know it means they're adding to their workload but still making it happen. Thank you to Nick, who is always very honest and a pleasure to deal with. Brad has been great too. Will always make sure to recommend this shop to friends and family!

Had a oil change and safety inspection done. Got a courteous phone call before proceeding replacing cabin filter. Overall was quick and got txt message when the car is done. Not like my previous place that will add 10+KM on my odo just for oil change. Overall was a great experience. Will come again for my next service.:)

Never had any problems with them until recently. Despite being a customer for decades they refused to help me with filling the air on my mobility scooter. Otherwise, they are my go-to for the many cars I've owned.

Last few times it was frustrateing they could not get there story straight on a noise issue in my van that started after I put my summer tires back on turns out my wheel bearing was shot I had to take it elsewhere to be diagnosed (diff Kal tire location) again with the balancing of wheels on my wifes car when we put her summers back on they told us they were balanced and the clearly were not at 80-100 km an hr the car shimmied had good service here in the beginning but I will not return to this location again

I had a good experience with Kaltire 2 yrs ago, then I went back to have a set of new tires. I thought the price maybe a bit pricey compared with their competitors, but I would like to give some business to my neighborhood shop. They did give me another outstanding service again even I had to back and forth to the shop numerous times with sensors and wheel balance issues (maybe those were just bad luck). The services what I got worth every penny what I paid!
I think they are among one of the best car shops I have dealt with. I do understand everybody needs to make some money, but it must be reasonable, and with great service would be awesome!

Had a really great experience here installing my winter tires. The staff were nice and friendly, and the service was super quick. I really appreciated the fact that their waiting area had super comfortable chairs, Starbucks tea and coffee, a popcorn machine, and a TV available.

Went there for my 24K oil and check up service. I'm very positive the tire wasn't rotated as agreed. My tires wasn't clean and had dust and dirt. Surely you will see some hand and fingermarks if the tires was even touched. Now I'm starting to doubt if the cabin filter I paid for was even replaced.
