Kal Tire

Terrible service. I discovered a screw in one of my tires and dropped in here to see about getting it removed and repaired. I was willing to leave the car behind and pick it up whenever they were done with it if they were busy. The woman working at the counter told me it would be faster for me to "plug it myself". I have no idea how to do this but she insisted it's easy and that I can buy everything I need from Canadian Tire. Strange experience and such a bizarre thing to say to a customer.

Waste of my time. Mechanics did not have sufficient tools to install pitman & tie rod. Had to take it to a shop who had proper tools which wasn't difficult to find. These are not specialty tools.

Terrible service. Needed to replace two tires as two were newer (replaced by another location in the summer 2022). Mercedes also said only two of my tires needed to be replaced during my last service at the end of summer. One week after going having two new tires replaced by this location. I have low tire pressure and discover the back tires are completely gone. They never mentioned this to me. They claim they tossed the newer tires due to alignment wear. At no point at the start, during the service (I left my car there for the day) or at the end of the service did they communicate with me that I need to more new tires asap. Something is off here.

Honest technician and great services. I will definitely be back for tire and other services.

Was refused request to have hubcaps put on summer tires when they were switched because one was cracked. Even though the tire swap was done in half an hour, I was told by the manager that he had wasted ten minutes of his time looking for my tires in the shop and that his shop guys didn’t have time to put the hubcaps on the summer tires, something that should have been done in the first place because there was indeed plenty of time as the swap was complete in half an hour, not the hour to hour and a half I was told it would take.
This manager needs to put more focus on customer service rather than pushing as many customers through his shop as possible, and treat all customers equally, no matter if the customer is purchasing new tires or merely having a tire swap.
Upon reading the invoice i also noticed that there wasn’t any discussion regarding the readings for what I have left in my brakes. And no recommendations for brake work. So a very incompetent servicing leaving me feel unsafe as i do not know what the state of my brakes is. Ive been told in the past that it is the shop’s responsibility to alert the customer if brakes are failing. Kind of disconcerting. And unsafe practice.
Definitely changing branches and alerting KAL TIRES management of my experience.

Went here for help to get a flat fixed and guys were so helpful. Made appointment and was fixed in exactly the time they said it would take and they didn’t try to sell me a whole new set of tires Highly recommend.

Fast, friendly, and the only place I know of to get Nokian tires, which are great on snow, ice, and all year round.

Canadian Tire could not find the leak in my tire after 21/2 hours of checking (without charge)
Kal Tire found it in a few minutes and as it was a minor valve issue fixed it at no charge.
I will definitely be going back to Mike and his friendly team at Kal Tire for my next tire needs

Thieves, brought my car in for alignment. According to them, which is true, on one of the sides both of the tie rods were seized and they couldn’t adjust it.

I agreed then they said the inner and outer tie rods were $150 each. I thought that was expensive so I called up north shore auto parts and asked how much they cost for the exact same brand and model. $40 each with no account. That means 375% markup on both parts. Rip off! So I called them and they told me the computer was acting up and he said they ‘assumed’ they cost that much. This assumption was strong enough to print it on an estimate. Maybe it was an honest mistake, maybe not. Faith lost.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the team at Kal Tire. I had a flat tire, and even though they are extremely busy with snow tires this time of the year, they made sure that my flat was fixed properly, and even stayed late after work to get it done. Will buy all my tires from them in the future.

Disappointing to have to write this review as I’ve had great service from them in the past, but my recent experience with them was awful. When they installed my tires, they took more than an hour longer than they said, saying it was really hard to set the alignment, blaming it on my German car (Audi Q5). When I drive the car out of their lot, it was obviously way out of alignment, pulling hard to the left which it wasn’t doing before they put the new tires on. They’d road tested it so it was unbelievable that they overlooked this. I took it back and they spent another hour with it. They finally got it right and apologized as it turned out the problem was that their alignment equipment wasn’t working correctly. So, tires are all good but then I noticed that half my lug covers were missing. They claimed that they weren’t on the car when I dropped it off, which wasn’t true. They eventually searched around and managed to find some in their shop that were the same as mine (crazy coincidence!) but only after I really pressured them on it. They did seem to be working hard to try to make things right and I had good experiences with them in the past so I decided to give them a second chance and asked for a quote for snow tires on our other vehicle. I backed off of that process because I got conflicting information between their staff on what wheels would fit our vehicles and ultimately found another shop that had better selection and prices. Not sure what’s going on there, but they’ve gone downhill in recent years. Gave them two stars as the tires turned out great in the end, but the process to get there was terrible.

Great service here. Brought my tire in for flat repair after another tire store failed at patching it. They reinflated the tire and found it was leaking at the bead and not the patch. They cleaned the rim and bead and reseated the tire and it was fixed! The other location wanted to sell me 4 new tire despite the fact that my tires still had 60% tread left on them. Thanks Kal Tire on Brooksbank in North Vancouver for great service.

Was told I needed over $600 worth of work. Was recommended by a friend to get a second opinion by their mechanic who found that everything looked amazing and there was no issues. Totally felt ripped off and like they were scamming me for money. Thank god I got a second opinion

The first thing I could say about this shop is great management in timing. They are so fast on 2 cars dropping fir season change over. Also got a great customer service on the day I booked the appointment and the actual service day from Laily at the front desk. Keep up the great job Guys

Thank you Mike for putting on my spare with no charge. Unfortunately Kal Tire did not have the tires I wanted in stock locally, so I ended up somewhere else.

Excellent service. KalTire tire fixed some flats for free over the years, I really wanted to give them my business because of that helpful gesture. Highly recommend KalTire.
My salesperson William in North Van was great. Went way above to help. Under promised and over delivered.

I did seasonal swap yesterday and the service was great! They checked my tires to find out what was causing the uneven wear in one of the tires. Ali is very knowledgable and explained the problem. I recommend them.

I called Monday to make an appointment for a simple oil change, the person who help me over the phone said they have an appointment on Tuesday at 2pm, I arrive 10 min early and they told me that someone forgot to put in on the schedule and they can do it at 2: 30pm, maybe a half hour wait is not much but I took an hour off work to do this so then they make it look like is my fault for not consider that an oil change will take longer than 30 min when is their fault for not putting my appointment in the schedule. I will give 0 stars if possible, no wonder why is the location with the lowest review ratings.
