Kal Tire

Changed breaks & belt. The squealing noise has only increased. A year ago I went in for a different issue, paid for diagnostics, they couldn't figure it out so they said I could get it free next time but now they charged me again & didnt even fix it properly.
Made me wait 3hrs when it was only an hour long appointment. They forgot to update the system so I didn't get the text. Called twice. They said its still being looked at & someone will call me. 3 hours. This place is good only for tire changes. Amateur technicians. Unprofessional front staff.gave my feedback when i got the email after a service. I had even asked the front desk to have their manager call me after the 3hr wait. But no response from manager.

Fast and good service. Did the work they promised and no extras. I will certainly go back.

I bought my tires from Kal Tire location several years ago and was told if needed help just go to any Location. To my surprise a couple of weeks ago I went to the Nanaimo location where I met Hayden. I needed my tires pumped up and he was more than helpful. He took care of my request right away and I'm pleased to say he was very pleasant and thanked me for dropping by. I'll be going there again. I've used various KT stores for 12+ years. I've never been let down. This store was amazing. They had what I wanted, expert staff and installed my snowtires in a couple of days. Other tire places needed 10+ days!

I made an appointment a week ago for a tire repair, and the day before I called to confirm. I was not in their appt book! Regardless, they penciled me in for an afternoon appointment. After an hour, I was told by them it was unfixable so I drove away on my spare. I called Cedar Tire where I bought the tires in 2019 and asked if they had the same tire in stock. They did! The next day I brought my car in to Cedar Tire expecting to purchase a brand new tire. Cedar Tire actually fixed my tire at no charge! Shame on you Kal Tire for your incompetency and losing a customer but THANK YOU Cedar Tire for going above and beyond to service my 3 year old tire! My friend told me that she too did not have a very good experience with KT over her brake job. I advise everyone to shop around and read reviews when it comes to finding the right shop.

Thank you for responding to my review. It's too bad that none of what you said was conveyed to me at the time I picked up my car. More conversation with your customers would be a good idea. My fixed tire is doing great and holding air again. No problem.

Kal Tire location Island Highway in Nanaimo is a very busy place, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. Service was done in the time it was promised and for a fair price.
Will be back at this location!

Kal Tire stands behind their work and products. After having them fix a flat we noticed a strange sound a few days later. Took it in to them and they had the car up on the hoist and the problem corrected within minutes (so fast actually that the store for my next errands doesn't open for another 30 minutes, giving me time to sit in the parking lot and write this review).

Always quick and efficient while taking great care of your vehicle. Best place to get tires in Nanaimo hands down.

The staff were great, got the tires we needed within a couple of days and price matched. They were punctual with the appointment and had the vehicle ready to go promptly. Tires look awesome and service was fantastic. Justin and the rest of the team did a great job.
