Kal Tire

Details to accompany the five star rating: I was able to book a winter tire change for Monday morning on Saturday afternoon. When I got there I asked if they could also do an oil change, check a problem with one of my running lights, AND check why my driver's side door wouldn't fully close. I emphasized that I wasn't *expecting* any of it, just a request if they could. Chris said yes, though I'd have to leave it until the afternoon.
Shortly after I left Chris called me to say that my winter tires were a different size than the ones currently on my car. (I had a new-to-me car since my last service with them.) He clearly outlined my options: a new set of tires or rims to go on the tires. The rims would have to be ordered and would likely take a day or two. He called around town and got back to me to say no, there weren't any he could get that day. I bashfully asked if I could check with one of their competitors, and he said no problem.
The other tire place was able to get the rims by that afternoon. In the meantime, KalTire did my oil change, fixed the problem with my door with WD-40 (because of course), and the problem with the running light would require bodywork to remove the bumper.
If I could give 6 stars I would. Chris was great at explaining things in a way I could understand and was gracious every step of the way. When I asked for the other stuff along with my tire switch he didn't blink an eye and didn't seem put off by my requests.

I've been getting my tires seasonal changes here for the past 3 or 4 years. Every time there is an issue. I leave specific instructions and they can't seem to follow them. Put my tires under the tonneau cover locked up. No alignment. And they can never seem to reset the tire monitors. I understand your busy but it just makes me come by and you have to stop what you're doing to reset them. But they're always friendly!

-My spare lugnuts were not returned to my car. Until I went in and asked for them
-Tire pressure was very low when I checked it - the pressure was not checked which I feel is common sense with any car service, especially tires.
-Wheel caps were missing & replaced with lower quality ones, no bother to even put caps on all wheels. And the two wheels they had not forgotten about had been replaced with cheaper products that my car came in with.
-I was kind & understanding throughout all this when there was no attention to detail made and no acknowledgement of mistakes. I had to come back twice to get a very simple job done & do a part of it myself.

I've previously went to Kaltire on Springfield for the last few years and had great service, and there is great staff there, they are thorough and quick and have had great experiences there. It’s really not much to ask that all the items in and on my car return to me at the end of service. I get accidents happen, but it really isn’t hard to avoid these things in all honesty.

Different kinds of car service also change/sale tires. Also have a storage for keeping your tires. Nice coffee machine)

Easy peasy! Ordered tires on Thursday. They arrived on Tuesday as promise. Drop the car off and it was ready in a couple hours. No complaints. Like the road hazard warranty, free rotation every 10,000 km and 130,000 km warranty on Nokian tire tread life. Also all flats fixed for free at any Kal tire outlet.

Not the best day for KalTire. Called four days in advance to pick up stored tires. No partial refund awarded even though the service was only used for two weeks. In addition to no parking and had to leave my car with four ways on in a lane. Ended up playing parking tag with their mechanics, and when I asked where I could be out of their way no response given. And because I had to play parking tag, everytime I went back into the store I ended up at the back of the line. Resulting in more parking tag. Very frustrating. In general, staff did not seem super impressed. Maybe a busy day and everyone's tired? Idk, but not their best day. I use this shop because they have storage, this vist will make me think twice in the future.

Picked up my summer tires today from storage only to find that the foam on the inside which is meant to make them quieter has come off and is mouldy. The people at Boyd advised me it could have only happened during storage. They had to have gotten wet. Of course Kal tire didn’t bother to mention this when I picked up the tires and they put them in bags so it would have been pretty hard not to notice!

When you guys lifted up my car last year.when I was getting my tires changed you guys accidentally lifted my car on my E brake cable And I had to replace it myself because I don't want to deal with people that don't know what they're doing.

I was able to buy a replacement tire for one of my summers on the spot. Waited longer than expected for my tires to be changed. Turned out the staff had run a full diagnostic on my breaks. Alex answered all of my questions fully. Staff worked well as a team and individually.

Took 3 hours.think they forgot to tell me the car was ready. Work was dome well. Car was way out of alignment so I don’t think they did the check properly the last time.
