Kal Tire

I've been happily going to KT at this location for several years. They always went the extra, but things have really gone downhill.
On a trip to the Okanagan last January (after KT installed my snow tires in the fall) I had severe trouble controlling the car during a snow storm. I visited a tire shop in the closest town (not KT) and was informed the tires were grossly over inflated to 47 psi. It says 36 psi inside the fuel door for a normal load, The tire manufacturer's recommended psi is 36 and the psi posted on KT's website for snow tires is 30-32.
This explained the lack of control. Also, the tires were worn in the centre as a result of the over inflation so I needed to buy new tires. Since KT never mentioned the tires were worn when they installed them in the fall, the wear happened afterwards.
Foolishly, I just had KT install my snow tires, but specifically said not to over inflate them. I asked for 36 psi. Upon arriving home, I discovered the tires were again inflated to 47 psi. Worse, my car has wider rear tires and they'd installed one of the wide tires on the front and the smaller one on the rear! If I hadn't checked my air pressure, I would have never noticed.
I wonder how many other cars they do this to and the owners never know.
Today I had them fix the tires. When I got home, they'd filled them to 47 psi again!
I'm done with KT.

FRAUD ATTEMPT. I recently purchased 4 brand new A/T tires for my 2019 Ram 3500 ($1,600). After installation, the Langley Kal Tire Tech told me that they could not do a wheel alignment because my ball joints required a replacement (at an additional cost of $2,500). I was surprised because my truck only had 63,000 kms. I took my truck to another trusted auto mechanic, who specializes in ball joints and front end work. After a full front end inspection he told me the ball joints were tight, and he completed an alignment. In my opinion, Kal Tire was trying to take advantage of me. This was fraudulent and dishonest.

Dropped in at 7: 45 am.
I told them I just got a nail on my tire on the way to work and my car tire pressure indicator lit up.
First thing the staff asked me if I had an appointment.
I said i just it plugged.
He said they were extremely busy and I had leave my car there and will take about 5 hours.
I drove to a car dealership next door.
They plugged my tire with in 10 minutes.
They didn’t go extra way to help the customer who’s in need. It didn’t feel like a neighborly friendly tire shop to me.
Maybe they’re not.

Marcus and the team are awesome. Friday night and got a flat tire. They managed to fit me in and saved my Friday date night with the wife and baby boy. Highly recommend Kal Tire Langley!

My tire had a small nail, Kaltire repaired it for free this morning, since the tires were bought from Kaltire. Clean facility, nice staff and quick service.

We were travelling thru Langley and found a tire problem. Kal Tire helped us with new tires, a new tie-rod end and wheel alignment. In a couple hours we were on our way. Thank you for making our trip safer.

These guys are the worst! They give you information over the phone, then I get down there and they say they have no clue what I am talking about and can’t do what they told me what they could. They have done this to us THREE TIMES now! I only keep calling them because of emergencies and they are the only ones open on sundays. I will never recommend them.

I was stuck in Langley with a bad tire.called Kal Tire 30minutes before they closed for the day and they had availability. I pulled into the lot and a technician came out immediately to inspect my tires and diagnose the problem. He helped me find the right tires for my vehicle at an affordable price, and had the new tires delivered the next day. My truck was ready for pickup within 24hrs. I also really appreciated that they kept my vehicle safe inside their shop overnight, and the clear communication about my vehicle status and other issues. Very happy with my service here, thank you!

Showed up with a nail in my tire and a van full of kids. They had two empty bays and one other customer waiting for their vehicle. I was told they were booked until Tuesday. What happened to kal tire? Used to be the go to place in an emergency. This is the second time that I’ve been turned away and literally the only tire shop that’s ever left me stranded (two separate stores). As a person who works in customer service I would do everything in my power to accommodate a customer in a tough situation. No matter how “busy” I was. What happened to good old customer service?
I’d rather walk than give kal tire another dime.

Terrible! Came in needing to get my tire change because of a flat with plenty of time before closing and said they couldn't help and sent me on my way. Find a different Kal Tire.

Great customer service. Percival was very professional in dealing with an unexpected issue out of his control and was able to come up with a solution quickly. Very happy with my new tires!

Would love to tell you if their service is good, but after 45 min of trying to get through on the phone they just keep shuttling us to hold. I tried to grab their attention and they just threw us back on hold again, we're sitting on the side of the highway and bcaa is on their way and we just need to know if they have time to repair it. We don't have a key for our spare, or we would fix it ourselves. F for customer service

Lovely staff who definitely helped to turn a stressful road trip a happy ending! Thank you for changing our tire on such short notice and for being so understanding of our situation. Very helpful over the phone and in person.

I've been bringing our car to Kal Tire (Langley Bypass) since 2017 and never been disappointed with the service. Booking online is super simple. Check in for the appointment and give them the keys. They work their magic. 40 mins or so later, pay them and get the keys back. No sweat.

Took my Tesla Model Y performance in for a tire swap.

Major mistake

They damaged my rims!

Also the Technician didn’t put the seat protector, floor protector… he wasn’t wearing gloves and got my steering wheel caked with grease.

I will NEVER take my car back to Kal Tire.

No wonder they had no cars in their bays.

Advice Kal Tire, care more about your customers cars.

Kal Tire accommodated me with a drop in visit for a tire change on my RV even though they were extremely busy.

Very friendly and courteous. They could not help me with my problem but recommended other places that could. Thanks

I brought my work van in to get a screw taken out my tire, they had to install a new one, there wasn’t another option. My issue is that when the removed the spare tire form under my van, they broke the winch that raises spare tire up, didn’t fix it or let me know. Now I can’t install my spare tire even though they are paid to do it.

Great service and a staff that's easy to work with. They go out of their way to take care of your needs. It's all about you and not the almighty dollar. That's the way I felt

Booked an appointment, but it was 30 minutes past the appointment when we asked what's going on. Our vehicle is still in the parking lot. They said oh sorry we'll get it in shortly. If you make appointments then stick to your appointment times!

Picked up a nail in my tyre on Saturday night and they squeezed me in on Sunday morning to repair the tyre.

My husband brought his vehicle in for a basic oil change and ended up having to take the car back to the shop 3 times after he noticed a serious oil leak when he was at work. The mechanic error was supposedly 'fixed' and my husband was told they drained the oil, replaced it with fresh oil, replaced the O-ring and everything was kosher. The oil leak persisted and left a huge mess on our driveway. The vehicle went back to the shop again to have the engine washed down. When the car was still leaking oil after, my husband was told the oil drain plug wasn't tightened and that was supposedly remedied. He finally brought his car into Volkswagen to have a mechanic check everything out. One litre of synthetic oil had to be topped up to reach the proper level.

We used to bring our vehicle in for all repairs when Matt was the manager and he was awesome. We are very disappointed with the new management and will NOT be going back there ever again. It's a shame because we thought we found a decent local shop to get all our vehicle repairs done.
