Came in last month for a pressure check, Ean and owen was very patient and professional Answered and checked my brakes, tire and Oil All for free and said to come back next season couldnt be much happier and i would def come back

Would not recommend visiting this location.

I went before for an alignment and they were unable to perform it after almost a 2 hour wait.

Then the manager came out and told me that they would not be charging me for the alignment. Soon I got my vehicle back and realized it was even more off aligned. Then my tpms sensor came on about a few mins after and that's when I realized that instead of aligning my vehicle. They messed it up even more and tried to hide it by deflating the tires on one side of my vehicle only. Thus it drove like it didn't pull as hard.

This is clearly negligent and shows that they do not have the safety of their customers in mind. No wonder they wouldn't bill me an invoice as that would be proof for their negligence.

Be warned.

Edit: clearly the owner did not even read my comment completely as I've I dicated that the manager did not provide me with an invoice or bill for service.

Not recommended doing anything rather than tire swap. My steering wheel steeped to the left when I was driving straight on the road after their wheel alignment service.

I went to purchase a set of Nokian All Weather tires (WRG4) 2 weeks ago. Kal Tire seems to be the only retailer that sell Nokian tires in BC. I dropped off my car for the installation, they sent me a text for a pick up way early than the 1.5 Hr timeframe they estimated.

When I went to pick up my car, they said that they were not able to complete a wheel alignment due to the damage to my Control Arm Assembly, the quote was $1284.00. They recommended that I replace them ASAP and that it was really dangerous to drive my vehicle in this condition. Thank God I had the common sense to get a second opinion. I went back to my trusted mechanic, he checked it out and found nothing wrong! He also mentioned that if I had to replace them that it would be a $700ish job.

I have not hit any curbs and I have only 80K on my odometer.

I guess they felt that making $$ just off the tires was not enough for them.

What a bunch of crooks.

If I could buy the tires somewhere else I would. Maybe other Kal Tires are honest, but watch out for this one. The manager was the person that came out to try and scare me into getting it fixed ASAP

BUYER BEWARE - AVOID AT ALL COST

I got a set of new Michelin CC2 tires for my car, with its recommended pressure of 41 PSI. Upon driving home, the car alerted me to uneven pressure between the tires. Got home, let them cool and found out 3 of the 4 tires had pressure of 46-47 PSI.that's unnecessary, but within spec.what's not within spec of both the car and tire manufacturer, is the pressure of the last tire, sitting at 64 PSI. Max allowable pressure is 50 PSI, according to Michelin, so the tire was 14 PSI over. Pure unprofessional and neglectful with a potential for a serious accident!

This is my go to place for car repairs. The staff are professional and usually get the repairs done right. I'm grateful to them.

Tire installation was fast, but after installing four new tires I was told my front bearings are loose. They want to charge a hundred to tighten it whereas my car has a sealed bearing which cannot be adjusted at all. It can only be replaced. And I went to two other shops where I was told my front bearings were totally fine. Hate the shady business.

With the promotion on Michelin tires ($100 manufacturer rebate), and my car needs new tires. So I ended up getting a set of 4 Michelin Cross Climate 2 tire. I made the appointment online adlfter talking to an agent via internet chat. I arrived before the appointment and was told it would take around 90 minutes. I waited at the waiting area and less than 90 minutes my car was done. While waiting, Kal Tire staff even notified me about my brakes and alignment. I am very happy with their service and would def recommend them.

I call this morning to book the appointment to change tire, I am asked if I bring my own tire, only the installation charge is over 65$/per one! Not come kal tire anywhere any time!

Told by the dealership I needed all brakes and rotors replaced.brought my vehicle into Kal for service and change of seasonals, they determined no pads or rotors are needed and I had at least another year or two! Thx Kal for honesty.can’t trust the dealership.trust Kal.

We had a flat tire and called to make sure we could drop off the car for the tire to be fixed. Once there we were told the tire cannot be fixed due to its 'age' and have to buy new tires.

If this was a caveat we would like to have known in advance during the phone call and not spend an extra hour at the shop for no reason.

Good skills but there seems to be a general lack of customer service among the people at the front.

Booked the appointment 2 weeks ago for inspection, and the guy at the front desk wants me to print out the inspection sheet, i said u have a printer right beside u, he said it’s the policy, I even said I can pay u, he said no. I live close so I said sure I can go home and print out in 5mis, and he told me I have to rebook after another 2 weeks.and he canceled my appointment. So obvious that he doesn’t wanna take my car to inspect, I was being nice, but he acting like a d**k,

I wanted to purchase my tires from kal tire, since its closer to my home and I've shopped here before. When I phoned to inquire about price matching, high end a/t tires, they were about $40/each cheaper at b&b tireland. The manager said, we don't price match small tire shops, we only price match big retailers, like canadiantire or costco. Phoned canadian tire, they priced matched bb tireland. Going to Canadiantire to pick up my tires. You just lost a sale and a customer. Thanks for being incompetent.

I have had to do a few repairs here so far and I just want to say they do a really good job at making you feel welcome and confident in your work. They are honest in what needs to be done and not. They really do there best to get you the best deal they can. They legitimately warrant their work. So lets say a part in was replaced and it is defective, although they dont make the parts if those break in your labor warranty they do the labor free if was same issue, meaning even though its not their fault its lets say Toyotas for a bad part kal tire still front the bill for the labor you would have to pay for a bad part, not everyone will do this and really it has nothing to do with them but still they cover you. Not many mechanics will do that. So if you need a repair you can trust, I would go here, also maybe ask for Harpal he is an absolute gem.

This location has very poor customer service!

Had them do some repairs on my vehicle last summer. Dropped off the car first thing in the morning and was told the repairs would be done in a day, however didn't get the car back for more than 72 hours. Worse is there was no calls to me updating me on the status, I had to reach out every single day asking what was going on.

At this point the parts that were replaced have since failed and need to be done again. The parts come with a 3 year warranty however Kaltire is declining my claim and arguing with me over the phone telling me to pay up.

I love Kal Tire Burnaby. They found a screw in my tires and patched it free of charge. They also rotated my tires, cleaned my car and gave me this great bag for my lug nut all free of charge. I did buy my tires from them. 10/10 for service and value.

Great location! Most Kal tire locations are. They are well trained, professional and timely. Follows good Covid protocols, respects your special requests very efficient. In Singh especially has great customer service. Will be coming back here for all my seasonal swaps, tire repairs, etc. Prices are much better than 1010!

Money robber, installing winter rim and tire with tpm. $357+ tax. Installation only, are you kidding me?

Harpal and team went above and beyond in servicing my vehicle to pass BC safety inspection. They were extremely knowledgeable and explained the repairs in as much detail as possible. They kept me fully in the loop on costs and actually gave me options instead of just recommending the most expensive repair. Affordable, great customer service, and extremely quick. Thanks!

Got a flat the night before, showed up at 7: 45 AM and was back at work by 9: 00 AM with a fully fixed tire. Just fantastic service!

Took my car in for work on the brakes. They did a great job, as my rumbling caliper is now a new solidly installed working caliper. It took some extra work to figure out some bothersome brake noise, but with accommodating service to fit my time needs, I experienced 5 star treatment. Would definitely recommend. Why haven't you made an appointment yet?

Dishonest employees. They tell you new tires are installed, but indeed they weren't not. No longer trust them.

They increased price at the counter to $13 per tire on a change from winter to all season, but the system when I reserved still says $10. They did not honor the reservation price. BE WARNED!

After the response from Kaltire below. I contacted their customer service and the response was immediate. Within the same day the branch called me and explained how the pricing error happened. I booked online when the price was $10 and price changed a few days after that included my appointed date.

They have granted me a credit applicable to my next service. I do my oil changes with them and has bought my new tires with Kal Tire too.

Glad they were proactive in reaching out and making me happy pay for their services. Chaning my star rating

I am SO impressed by the quality of service at this Kal Tire location. I’ve been here a couple times to have my tires repaired or retorqued and each time I am met with friendly associates who are experts in their field. If you’re making a trip in I would suggest to call or book an appointment ahead of time to ensure they have time to work on your vehicle. From when I pulled my car in I was able to get an assessment on my flat tire, they found the tire in their inventory and replaced it within the same hour. Amazing service and all around incredible people. Thank you for a great experience!

I had such great service from the sales and service rep Inderpal Singh. I went in because I had a nail in my tire. My tire haf to be replaced
but it was discontinued. I was worried we would have to replace all 4 tires And this would cost alot. Inderpal went out of his way to find me another brand to replacement my old tire that would fit the model of my Mercedes truck. He also saved me alot of money and resolved the problem. I only had to replace two tires instead of 4. He was very professional and a pleasant gentlemen. I would highly recommend this location for that reason. Its very clean especially with covid restrictions. They are very quick and efficient. I also have to thank Alex. Before I left the lot, he was so quick to make sure all of my tires were full of air and that my spare tire was put on properly and the bolts where tighten. He could can see in my eyes was very nervous driving my ride with the indicator going off on my truck. He reassured me I could drive safe with my children. All the places I have been for servicing, I never seen someone so kind and caring. He was very professional and efficient. Thank you so much for the great service.

Been coming to the burnaby store since it use to be at the old Sears store. I've always been loyal, good service and product translates to loyalty both ways. Honesty and trust.translates to loyalty!
When the Guy behind the counter trys to Baffle You With BS its time to move on, and taking the fleet of 100 plus vehicles with me.
If I can't trust the one guy behind the counter how can I possibly monitor the service of the fleet without trust.
I have a simple flat tire that needs repair. The booking system has been down for about two days, thinking it's just at a particular store I called a couple stores and both Main and Boundary said they don't usually book flats which makes sense after one of the stores said how does a customer predict a flat.
Well this guy at the metro town Grimmer store tells me they are booked full and I should book a appointment for next week and make it sound like I should plan the flat better, meanwhile there are only two guys in the whole back area working, 1 in tire area and the other at the mechanical bay. So 1 of 5 bays had a car in it, all other bays were empty.

I would accept the fact that you are short staffed but don't B. S. ME about having to book an appointment or I should have book a appointment that didn't need to be booked also (system was and is down) I called the 1-877# in front of him and the same message not available.
Update: they fixed the flat in the end.

Refused to help and get from behind of the counter. I was in rush and asking if technician could quickly check if the tire is repairable or not. He told me to leave the car for two hours.

For some strange reason after a tire change, all my in cabin lights were on and I didn't have enough time to go back to the store to have them help figure out what happened.when I left my car to walk to work I looked back and lights were still on. I thought I would come back to a dead battery. When I called to say what happened, there was no answer without going back to the store-had to work.then I had about e mail from Paul saying they would pay for a tow truck if the battery was out when I finished work.
Long story.everything turned out and I really appreciated the customer service!

Truly is a one stop shop, I purchased tires not knowing they have a mechanic onsite that does everything, servicing etc. These guys are very easy going, professional and know what they are doing. You can also wait and enjoy coffee and popcorn, now that is cool.

I am elated with their kindness and honesty. I will definitely be back and recommend 100% of this place (Metrotown) to everyone. I trust them 100%, their performance is exceptional.

I bought a new set of tires here a few years ago and have been very happy with their knowledge and service.
Last week, my car had some difficulty starting so I brought it in to have the battery replaced. They said it was fine and then did a full system test. Found no problems and didn't even charge me for their time! Can't get better than that! Will be back when my husband need new tires, among other things. Thankyou so much!

Customer service could be been better. Seemed like my rep was a newbee. Otherwise flawless install of new winter tires on new rims. Somehow they got tpms sensors programmed correctly and no problem pairing with my car

My girlfriend originally bought a full set of tires less than 1 year ago from another Kal Tire in the area and had one explode while driving (after being used for less than 5,000 km). Long story short, she was targeted and nearly extorted for 3 additional tires when she called (the original Kal Tire location) to replace the exploded tire. She was informed her 1 year old tires were discontinued, and was advised she purchases an entire set of "newer model" tires, in addition to a wheel alignment-otherwise they would not make a sale. My girlfriend received a final quote of over $900!
I called Kal Tire at this location and explained the situation to the man on the phone (Paul-who was unknowingly the store manager at the time) to get extremely frank and competent advice on replacing the tire and how to move forward. Paul was able to locate a single tire out of province (Regina), shipped it free of charge, and mounted the tire all within a reasonable period. As a result of the other 3 tires being in such good condition, Paul was able to take money off the final price! From what was originally quoted to be over $900, turned out to be $80.
I would recommend this location to someone with limited automotive knowledge looking to have similar services done to their car, especially women or elderly people.

This location has reliable service. I dealt with Jaime twice this year and he’s always taken care of me. I had gotten my oil change done with a different mechanic who did a sloppy job and my check engine light came on. I was super stressed and came into this location and Jaime fit me into the schedule at the last hour on a Friday and made sure I was sorted for my road trip this weekend. Super appreciated, thanks!

It’s very difficult for a 76 year widow to have her car serviced without trepidation. Most of the dealerships try to overkill their products and services and use high pressure for you to buy when it was not necessary, just a little tweaking sometimes. I was extremely pleased with their patience, courtesy, kindness and most important of all their honesty. I will definitely be back again

I visit this place to top-up the tires for the car. They provide free air top-ups. This sole aspect has left a great impression in my mind and this store will be my first choice for all my tire requirements hereafter.

Jaime took excellent care of me when I brought my vehicle in. He went out of his way to explain exactly what the problem is and got me back on the road in about an hour!

Really great experience! Jaime provided over the top and personable service! Will be back in Spring for new tires to go with my new snows.

Would not recommend this location if you care about your car. Quite disappointed with my most recent winter tire changeover for 4 reasons:
1. Was quoted 90 min for the service that ended up being almost 2.5 hours. My car wasn't in the service bay until 45 mins AFTER my scheduled appointment.
2. Tech also was quite careless in taking the winter tires out of my trunk and scuffed the clearcoat on the top of my rear bumper - he couldn't be bothered to properly lift the tire out and over but instead dragged it across.
3. They used some kind of lube to get the tires changed (smells like coconut oil) but left a lot of the residue on my rims - had to spend time cleaning them off after noticing it when I got home.
4. The card they left stated they filled the tires up to 35 psi as required by the door sticker. Got a TPMS warning shortly after and I checked the pressure myself on all four tires and a few of them were off by +/- 4psi which was enough to trigger the TPMS warning.

Overall it was a rush job that took much longer than it should have and I suspect much of it is due to them focusing on quantity over quality of service jobs.

Pretty good experience overall. Knowledgable and friendly staff with a very clean and well maintained space. Coffee and popcorn machine for customers that are waiting, and some comfy seating around the area.

They did a pretty quick job and were able to fit me in for a single tire change. Took longer than they promised though, and I had to go ask them to pay and to get my keys when I saw my car sitting in the parking lot. Also they didn’t have any all season tires in stock.

So far the tires been good and the re-torque took literally 5 minutes. Would recommend coming here for your tire needs.

Quick service, fair prices, knowledgeable staff. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Online scheduling of appointments is great. Don't know why others dont offer it.

Great shop, and great bunch of guys. Have gone here a few times now. Was last here for a wheel alignment on my truck, and although there were some issues afterwards (an apprentice did the work), they were quick to address and correct the issues, as well as give me a break in the bill.

Nice and relatively close to home, and will certainly be going back if needed in the future.

Got the job done pretty quick, good prices and friendly service. No pushy sales speech either. Pretty much all you can ask from a tire shop. Will do business in the future with them again.

Terrible customer service. ZERO COMMUNICATION. I went in for my winter tire change appointment to come to find out that it had to be rescheduled because their compressor stopped working. They didn’t bother notifying me. Having to reschedule my appointment to the next day, I SPECIFICALLY left them with my phone number and email and asked them to notify me when the tire switch is done. 2 hours later, no text or call or email from them. They AGAIN, even bother to notify me.

Very expensive. Had the 10 tires changed for less than 1/2 the price quoted at this location. Staff was friendly though. Quote was given very quickly unfortunately way to expensive.

Got tires for Jonny's Towing. Price of tires was upsetting BUT they're special so I get why.

Excellent service provided by Jack. I was really happy with his attitude and customer service. He also gave me great quotes on future work. When I went back, everything was done and priced exactly as promised. I had an balance issue with one tire after service. I came back and it was fixed, no questions asked!

I have taken four different vehicles here for work. Great service everytime. Really appreciate great customer service by Jack and the rest of the team.
