Yesterday I went to get a key cut at Beehive just a couple doors from Cals Cut and as I walked by I witnessed something within this barber shop that made my blood boil with a righteous indignation. A person was asking if he could use their bathroom and the owner responded in a VERY harsh and degrading manner.
I understand that we have a lot of homeless and other struggling individuals in the area and that there are some who are rude or what not, but this person, whoever he was, was asking in a humble and sincere way.

The response of the owner of Cals Cut was vicious and undeniably arrogant. As a longstanding resident of the area I am appalled that he was treated this way. This owner needs to be taken down a notch so that others are not treated this way. I will tell everyone I see in Fleetwood about this business owner and encourage them to not use his services. It was demeaning and uncalled for. A simple “no” would have sufficed. But to be subjected to his hatred like that is unacceptable. We, the public, need to hold businesses to a higher standard of respect and integrity when dealing with their customers.
Simply because this guy didn’t get a haircut he was treated inhumanly. This not only reveals what little character this business owner has but also demonstrates the fact that he is simple and stupid because people are always watching. These days it’s all about optics.

I read another review by a unsatisfied customer who did not receive the haircut she asked for and the owner treated her disrespectfully.

This paragraph is to you, the owner of Cals cut: if you think that Covid caused your business to suffer you have no idea how we “the public” can cause your business to suffer by our word of mouth. You could remedy this by making a public apology in response to this review. That would be the right thing to do. That would be a beginning. I frequent this mall often and the next time I do, you and I will have a conversation about this. Don’t worry, I would never allow you to cut my hair so you can deny me your service anytime. You are fortunate that I never videotaped you in action yesterday. A picture is worth a million words. Remember the public is watching. Next time I will video your behaviour.
Respectfully,

Concerned person
