Kam Do Bakery

I am from Washington state in the US. Bought $50+ of cakes and drinks when after I paid with $100 USD I was told that they don't convert to Canadian dollars. I received $48+ Canadian dollars of change back. Convertion should be $1 USD = $1.35 CD. I lost ~ 30% of $50. The people there are not friendly at all. Will not come back and making sure other people acknowledge this incident.

Good baked goods but bring cash. They allow for debit card transactions but not worth it if you are spending US dollars as they offer no conversion rate been USD and CAD

We've been buying buns here at least 10 years. They are to my taste the best. Egg tarts fabulous, coconut buns delicious. Curry beef bun my favorite.

Highly recommend the molten cheese tarts! Nice gooey savory-sweet flavor The lychee cheesecake was really nice, not too sweet but still full of yummy fruity flavor. I can't speak for much more of these products but I do love their hot dog breads. Coconut cream bun is as sweet as it should be, but I thought the corn cream bun was too sweet.
Sometimes they have a cart of discounted 20% off 2pk cake slices.
Also, the staff was nice. The ladies went out of their way to bag my stuff for me as I struggled to bag them.

The quality at this bakery is great! I ordered the red bean pastry with egg yolk and the pineapple coconut bun.

The red bean pastry is filled with sweet red bean baste which balanced with the slight saltiness and creamy texture of the egg yolk. The egg yolk isn’t hard and overly salty like those in the supermarket mooncakes. However, I felt like the egg yolk was too small and the crust wasn’t sweet at all? You have to bite both the crust and the paste in order to get the maximum flavour. The pastry is quite expensive at $3 a piece.

The pineapple coconut bun was AMAZING! This place sells gorgeous, massive buns at a reasonable price and the bread texture is amazing. The crust is sweet and crunchy while the bread inside is soft. They do not skimp out on the filling at all and every bite of the bun was packed with delicious coconut flavour. Absolutely recommend to those who love coconut.

An additional point I would like to add is that the selection of breads at this place is rather plain. I wasn’t able to find any particularly new or interesting pastries here, but you can certainly find high-quality typical Asian bakery items here. I want to visit them again to try their red bean sesame balls, wife cakes, and red bean pineapple buns ️

Overall, I am happy with the quality at this bakery and I would recommend stopping by if you are ever in Richmond!

Service not good. Poorly stocked. Came twice in the same day to check. Recommend going to their location further south, which was much better.

We came to Canada from the United States to eat meringues and meringues. I asked for six packs. The waiter in Jindu was very rubbish. I didn’t ask for purple crisps. She put two in it until I returned to the United States. I just found out, I just want to say that the service attitude is too bad, I suggest you go to another one instead of this one, super bad review!

Their egg tarts are delicious. There's always a ton of people in here, so you know it's good.

A wide variety of Hong Kong style pastry. Good quality. I always get my favourite coconut bun and egg tart from them. Worth a try!

One of my favorite bakeries in the Vancouver area! Always fresh but always busy! So make sure to go early for the best stuff!

I can't say enough how much I love this bakery! Love their mango cakes! Reasonable price with Big portion of FRESH MANGOS!

Really like their wife cakes! Best in the Lower Mainland, I personally like thr glutinous texture of thr filling.
