Karma Campervans Vancouver

We rented a camper van for a three day trip outside of Squamish. It was a great trip! The van is cozy and nice inside.

If we were doing this again we would bring a tarp - the stove is a Coleman stove and you can’t cook inside the van. We’d also spring for the optional kettle so we could boil water without having to lug the stove outside.

Overall it was a great experience and we are already planning our next trip.

I wish I had seen your ad on IG much earlier, especially during summer. Regardless, had a blast driving the van to Alberta and back mid-November.

Driving the actual van was easy getting used to. It handled the compacted snow on the highways surprisingly well. It was clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The heater did great in sub-zero temperatures at Lake Louise (-6C). The camping chairs, the stove and the shovel all came in handy. It was very convenient to park pretty much anywhere for the night.

One fun part of the trip was running into another Karma Van near Bow Lake in Alberta. The other driver and I both started waving at each other like we were best friends (haha) and we actually ended up talking to each other at a different stop later on.

Highly recommended and will definitely be renting again in the near future.

We hired a Karma Camper van in September for a week, driving from Calgary to Vancouver, through the Rockies. Fabulous! Camper van was comfortable to drive and with the added height we felt we saw far more than in a car. Super cosy, despite the temperatures being below freezing at times over night. Bed was really comfortable and facilities easy to use. Highly recommended

With the Karma Campervan we had a lovely three weeks visiting Jasper, Banff, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks. We were "newbies to camping" and we really enjoyed the Karma campervan.

The van is very comfortable to drive. The equipment is ideal. Everything you need for cooking is available in the kitchen. The wooden interior makes the interior look very high-quality and comfortable. The bed is insanely comfortable.

The process of picking up and returning is very uncomplicated. We were missing two things in the van that we booked. The staff present in the office immediately apologized and submitted both without further ado. Customer service can also be reached when you're on the go and will do their best to suggest solutions if something doesn't work.

1 star deduction because of the following two points:
- The cooler urgently needs to be secured with a tension belt. We had to brake twice, not abruptly, but a little harder. Both times he immediately slid forward and crashed into the passenger seat. That frightened us so much that we almost didn't dare to brake a little harder. And that in turn jeopardizes road safety. The bumps in the cooler show that it wasn't just our problem.
- The waste water tank was empty, but a strong odor spread quickly while driving. When we checked it at a stop, we found large, black slime deposits. This on the floor and on the side walls. Unfortunately, we were only able to wash it out with high pressure at a larger campground. Everything that came out was disgusting. We would have liked the tank to be not only emptied when preparing the van, but also cleaned. Unfortunately, you rarely have the opportunity to catch up on this on the go.

All in all we would definitely rent a Karma campervan again! We can recommend it to anyone who travels to Canada, wants to be in nature a lot but doesn't want to miss out on comfort!

I'll say right off the bat that I wasn't a fan of completing everything online but the contactless pick up was so easy, it made the frustration and emailing back and forth beforehand totally worth it. Would only deduct half a star for that.

This camper was AWESOME! Everything you need, plus extras if you want them.

Last three weeks we had a great roadtrip through British-Columbia and Alberta (Rocky Mountains) with a Karma Campervan! The van was brand new, well designed and everything was carefully thought out. We could see the love Karma puts in its vans! A real recommendation, both for warm days and cold nights (thanks to the well functioning heater in the van). Customer service was also great. We spent 3 weeks in our karma van and loved it! As somebody who isn’t a ‘natural’ camper, I felt very at home in our karma van with all the additional details like the USB ports, water system, comfy bed and spacious layout. Our first time renting a campervan ever and Karma Campervans made it so easy! Their staff were very knowledge and prompt to reply to all our questions. We had an absolute amazing time, our only regret is not hiring it for longer. We are planning our trip back to Canada for a different experience. 10/10 would recommend! No hidden prices when it comes to mileage kitchen appliances and bedding like the other big companies!

We rented the Van for 8 weeks between Jan and March and traveled between Ski resorts in BC, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington. We really enjoyed our trip & found the van to be excellent. Extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. There was everything we could need supplied. The diesel heater and the bedding was excellent for keeping us warm. We had no issues with the power and the van held charge really well. It drives better in the snow than you would expect for RWD and M&S tyres as the weight helps it grip and they can provide chains. Communication from Karma was always excellent if we needed support. This trip would not have been possible without Karma vans. Thank you!

It's our second time renting camper Van with Karma. The camper van is easy to drive and perfect for a couple. Due to winter season and not big skiing/snow boarding fans, we decided to stay at Vancouver island for 3 nights. I keep telling my Bf that one day I will own one of karma's campervans as it is designed and equipped perfectly with hearts. The heater had 0 issue during our stay and kept us warm overnight when it's below 0 degree and we had best sleeps with the comfortable mattress. Auto check in and drop off is saving hassles and time. There is nothing that we can really complain. I am positive that Karma will grow and please open more locations in Vancouver and Burnaby then we can save trips to go to Richmond as we can't park our cars there.

This was our second time renting with Karma and it never disappoints! The van is always extremely clean upon pick up and ready for whatever adventure you wish to throw at it. The staff are great and communicate to make everything as smooth as possible. For anyone that seeks adventure, Karma is a great place to start.

Only advice is to bring a tent or some sort of waterproof shelter to cook in as the vans are not equipped with an awning and cooking outside in the Pacific Northwest is next to impossible.

I rented a brand new Campervan for 4 weeks and was super sad when I had to return it. The van was very well suited for winter camping and thus the trip was unforgettable. I highly recommend Karma Campervans because not only the vehicles are ideal for winter camping but also the service and support provided by the friendly staff was impressive. I definitely will rent a Karma Campervan again the next trip.

Tout était parfait! La van était parfait, il ne nous a manqué de rien, le prix était juste et le service impeccable! Nous avons déjà hâte à notre prochaine fois!

There are no words to express HOW AMAZING our experience was with our Karma van! First of all, the practicalities were made sooo easy.from booking, to pickup (including easy location), to drop-off and getting our security deposit back.so simple.
Secondly, the space! Organized so well, all the things you need, loads of room for extra (yes, we brought way too much stuff but there was still room for more). ***The only extra I recommend you bring, if you are winter camping, is an insulated mug for drinking coffee/tea/hot chocolate outside by the fire.
Thirdly, the bed! We only expected it to be one step up from tent camping (cramped and minimally comfortable), not like our comfy memory-foam bed at home. Wrong! Some of the best sleeps we have had, ever!
Also - the heater, made November camping very enjoyable (barely needed it overnight given the comfy duvet and well-insulated van). Plus the campgrounds are almost empty, as well as cheap at this time of year.

We had to make last minute arrangements to find a camper since we found out the getaway van we were going to borrow didn’t have winter tires. Within a day, we were able to get a quote and book a Karma camper van and what a great experience it was! Super quick & easy to book and the Karma crew was very communicative. Pick up and drop off were seamless; the instructions given are very clear.
The van itself was fantastic! I was a little intimidated to drive the van as I’ve never driven anything of its size before, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to handle. Really enjoyed driving it! Inside it had everything we needed for our trip. The bed was super comfy and the duvet kept us nice and warm. And the heater was a bonus would absolutely recommend Karma camper vans and can’t wait to plan our next trip in one!

My girlfriend and I loved our time with the Karma van, it is a home always with you, in which we saw beautiful places, cooked, read and slept super well! Also, they have always been available and caring, before and during the rent, also in cases of small emergencies. Highly recommended

We had an awesome experience with Karma campervans! The booking & communication was seamless. We travelled from Vancouver to Whistler to Torino to Victoria. It was so great having the freedom to explore BC paired with the luxury of glamping! Highly recommend & would definitely choose Karma again.

We rented a Karma campervan for 10 days while we explored parts of Vancouver Island. Pick-up was easy and they were very quick at responding to questions before we left and while on the road. The bed was comfy and the van was equipped with everything we needed with plenty of storage space.

Karma team and Van was just exceptional. Everything was so easy to deal.

The shower extra may not be exactly what you expect! Even if we took the option, filled water bottles where easier to manage than the Coleman shower.

The van was clean, accessible and everything was comfy!

Did a longer term rental with Karma (3 weeks) and absolutely loved the van and the service I received. All questions were promptly answered, the bed was super comfortable, the heater worked great (October), the van gets reasonable gas mileage, it drives well - doesn't feel as big as you'd think for a 22' vehicle. I would highly recommend Karma Campervans.

This is exactly what we wanted for some winter (okay technically spring) camping! The campervan was just as cool as the pictures show, the bed was super comfy and we were incredibly thankful for the super easy to use heater. Pick up and drop off were smooth and we will definitely be renting from Karma Campervans again!

We had a fantastic trip to Tofino in the Karma campervan - just the two of us and it was spacious and stylish and had everything we needed. A great option!

Wow if you want to travel and see the beauty of BC, Karma is the solution you need, cheaper than a hotel room but as much convenient and comfortable!

We picked up our Karma Campervan in Vancouver and made our way through BC and AB before making our way home through the Kootenays. Along with our golden retriever we lived in the van for 10 days and it was the perfect home on wheels. With clean running water, a spacious and comfortable bed and plenty of storage, we felt we could go off grid when we wanted. I was a bit nervous about driving such a large vehicle but after a few minutes it felt like driving a sedan with plenty of power to get through the Rockies.
We're officially hooked to the "vanlife" and we can't wait for our next adventure with Karma!

We rented a Karma camper van for 3 nights while we camped in Golden Ears park in early July. The contactless pickup and drop off was a real perk. The van was spotless, cleverly designed and drove well! We were definitely the envy of our tenting friends when the rain paid us a visit.

We ran into some issues along the way but the Karma crew rectified the situation. Our sink leaked so we were unable to use it during our stay. Karma waived our $100 pet fee in compensation of the broken sink (fair enough but I had to ask). There was also an administrative error where they charged us for going over the allotted km’s even though we drove less than a quarter of what was included. The sink and administrative issues made the experience worth 4/5 stars. If those events didn’t take place I would give 5 stars for sure!

Tips:
- video the entire van before and after your trip
- take a picture/note the annual km’s clocked on the veh before and after your trip
- make sure the lights & sink work before you drive away

Karma Campervans have done an amazing job to enhance the experience of my outdoor adventures! Staff (Kersten, Alex) were extremely friendly and prompt, and my contactless check-in, check-out process was very quick and efficient. These campervans are well kept, being neat and tidy on the inside. The vehicles drive well, and gave us a better feel of what vanlife is about. We didn't go far, and had been respectfully keeping away from people/towns throughout our entire trip. This was the reset we needed to spend more time in the woods/by the water. We are normally tent campers, and so it was luxurious to be sleeping indoors with the van heater on at night, when it was at least -8 degrees raining/snowing outside! Thank you Karma Campervan Team for this experience, we will book again in the future.

The company's policies are unclear and not mentioned at all on their website. I did book a van in advance with my N driver license which allowed me to drive a van. However, Karma does not inform their Guests that they have to have a full driver licence by Karma's insurance policy which the owner didn't post on the website. Even in FAQ's that literally says that everyone can drive unless you are less than 25 years old.
They canceled my trip after I completed the booking and they charged me. I received only apologies with future discount which I definitely will not use after the horrible experience from their side. To wrap it up, even though they return the full amount, I lose $200 only on cancelation fees from campgrounds which I booked in advance and stuff that I bought specifically for this trip and won't use otherwise.
They have a strict cancellation policy - you pay at least 25% of the amount if you cancel, but they couldn't cover my losses - they just cover themselves and don't care about customers.

My experience with Karma campervans in Vancouver was not so great. I found their vehicle inspection process to be lazy and unthorough. They seem to think it is ok to have a ten day gap between the official vehicle inspection and pickup despite the fact that the vans are kept in an unsecured parking lot.

My advice to potential customers is to be very thorough with the vehicle inspection when you pick it up. I made the mistake of not doing this. It was a mistake for which I have had to pay very dearly. I was naïve in trusting that they would be thorough in their inspection. I would also advise you to look at the date of their vehicle inspection.

@karmacampervans, a non-contact vehicle handover does not give you license to do the vehicle inspection whenever you want. It should be done on the same day or at most the day before. In our correspondence you said that you "had another check" of the vehicle before pickup. If that is the case, though, it should have been documented. I cannot trust the thoroughness of this "check" if you did not even take the time to document it. You can do better.

It was super easy and convenient to rent from Karma campervans with a completely online registration and contactless pick up and drop off.
The campervans are beautiful, cleaned well, and stocked sufficiently, and we had no issues with the van driving and sleeping it in up to whistler and pemberton February. The heater worked well and we were nice and cozy. This is one of the best value and high quality van life rental companies I've experienced.

We’ve had amazing communications, customer service and van features (such as comfort, furnitures provided and design) with Karma. It is one of those companies we think are to good to be true, but they really made a huge difference in our 11 days trip. First travel in a van, already miss it and would 100% redo it again and recommend it!

We rented Karma Campervan two times. Once in Calgary and once in Richmond. Both rentals were excellent. 44 days in total. Simple reservation process, reliable vans, resonable price, great communication and customer service!

Pick up and drop off easy from convenient location. Responded quickly by text and email to our questions. Van was great for fall/winter camping adventure. Well equipped, comfortable bed, and warm and cosy. Will definitely rent again from them.

I had a quality trip with Karma Campervans! Everything about the vans were really well put together. Than Van is so easy to drive and clean. I was winter camping and never got cold, the gear that was provided like dishware, knives, stove, propane was super helpful, that way I didn't have to pack as much. The pre departure video was cool because on the day of your trip you can almost just get in the van and go! Next time I go I would buy extra KM's though, just for peace of mind.

My brother and I had an amazing trip through the Canadian Rockies with this beautiful Camper. We rented the Van for three weeks and really enjoyed our time. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly suited for all sorts of meals throughout the day, the Van offers plenty of storage for all your equipment you might need during your trip. The power supply with integrated solar panels are amazing – we never had to use the power cable on any of our campgrounds. The Ford Transit comes with a V6 and 278HP which is more than enough for what roads you will be driving in BC/Alberta. If you are planning on going on a longer trip like us, it is definitely the right Van. Service from Karma was outstanding and very quick. We can highly recommend Karma Campervans for your trip in Canada.

Had so much fun! They have great communication, very fast. Easy access with the keyless entry. The vehicle is great on gas, very spacious with lots of room for all the camping junk we like to bring! As well as charging ports and light switches in smart places. Also super cool to be able to bring the dog! Only thing I would say is maybe bigger tires if possible, since you're promoting boondocking, some of the best places are down dirt roads in the forest, the tires on the sprinter had me scared while driving to Gillis lake. But again HIGHLY RECOMMEND! LOVED every minute of it.

David and his teams’ generosity of donating their vans to front line workers allowed me to isolate stress free while working at the hospital. They vans are super cozy and had everything I needed! Had a great experience in the camper. Literally has everything you need and the keyless pickup makes the whole process extremely straightforward. An awning would be a nice addition but not going to give it any less than 5 stars because it was a faultless experience and will definitely be using again.
