Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and charismatic. Great for all levels of fitness, very safe and overall enjoyable! Would definitely come back and I highly recommend this place! We had Austin as our guide.

We decided to take the Kayak Tour in order to see the seals and explore a little more of Victoria and although it was our first time, it was all very fantastic. Small group of 6 people and a very well explained tour by our guide Brandon Willson. He was fantastic at setting up the equipment, explaining everything, and giving tips. I recommend it without a doubt!

Phenomenal time with Austin! My wife and I went pretty late into harbor seal pup season and they knew exactly where yo go to check them out. Felt safe and taken care of by these guys and had a blast. Definitely worth your time to check them out.

We had an awesome experience with Kelp Reef Adventures. There were 4 adults and 11 teenagers and everyone enjoyed themselves. Mitch and Bobby were knowledgeable and answered all the questions the kids had.

Mitch is the best guy and he brought great times and experience to us. Mitch kept checking crews' condintion and extreamly professional. Don't worry if you are beginner, intermediate, or pro in kayaking, he is very friendly and he will take care of you. We really enjoyed the time with this kayak adventure! Highly recommended:)

Did the 3 hour morning tour and it was a great experience on the water. The guide, Mitch, was friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. Explored the coastline and saw lots of wildlife. Great way to experience Victoria!

What a magnificent tour of the harbor! Our guide, Mitch (not Matt), was absolutely wonderful. Not only did we see cool creatures on our journey, but Mitch told us a lot of unique history of the area. Definitely would do this again!

Had no plans to take a kayak tour but stumbled on Kelp Reef. Had a fantastic time. Ate kelp, saw seals and their pups and thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the harbor with Mitch.

Went on guided tour with them and really enjoyed it. We didn't paddle to far before we saw seal pups with their moms sun bathing on the rocks. Our guide Mitch is very familiar with the area, and know where to take us to spot seals and otters.

Mitch was amazing tour guide; help us out alot and pretty knowledgable about the area. Great experience, can be done even without prior experience.

Just had an exquisite tour today with my young daughter. Got to to see the baby seals, see the harbour from a new perspective, and learn all sorts of things from our superstar guide, Matt. He was *fantastic* with everyone on the tour. Would definitely recommend and repeat.

Fantastic experience with a charming guide, Mitch. They provide complete equipments, water bottles. Though we didn't do the excursion as planned to see seal nursery because it was too wavy, we saw 4-5 seals sun bathing on the rock and even one swimming along our kayak. It was an easy, breazy tour.

Kelp Reef was able to help knock an item off my bucket list and for that I am super grateful. They were very flexible, especially at the last minute, and Austin and Mitch arranged an after hours tour for us so we were able to get this done in the very short amount of time we had in Victoria. They were knowledgeable and gave us all sorts of cool information about Victoria and the harbor. I am hoping we can make it back one day and spend more time there. Would highly recommend this company.

Mitch was our tour guide and he provided such a great experience! Very knowledgeable of the area and super personable. Would definitely recommend Kelp Reef Adventures. We did the 2 hour tour and it was perfect in terms of timing and sightseeing. Lots of wildlife to see including otters, seals, and bald eagles.

We had a great 2 hour sunset tour with a great tour guide Brandon. He was very informative and made some great recommendations for places and restaurants to visit in Sooke and in Victoria. Brandon showed us many seals and also showed us some Kelp.he even ate it with us! Brandon was kind enough to take some pictures of us. We forgot to get them from him after the tour, so he was kind enough to message us the pictures of us a couple days after our tour. We highly recommend Kelp Reef Adventures, great service!

Had a great time out on the water. Brandon was our guide and we enjoyed the way he formatted the trip around the harbour. We felt safe given his experience with paddling. He was informative and interesting, very personable. Would highly recommend.

We had a 2h tour with Austin, and that was a really good experience!
I am personally not a professional at kayaking but Austin made us feel confident all the time and we felt safe with him.
The tour was really fun, we saw some harbour seals and our guide could tell us a lot about the places, and historical things. All of that in a good mood and fun jokes!
I recommend this place a 100%, and i think it's a pretty good experience i would do it again!

We loved the guided tour that Brandon gave us during our recent visit to Victoria. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we learned more about the local environment as well as have a little fun! Definitely would recommend checking them out!

My girlfriend and I had an awesome experience with Kelp Reef Adventures! We did the kayak tour with Mitch. Mitch was very professional and had a lot of fun facts to tell the group on our tour. Mitch definitely made the tour with his enthusiasm and outgoing spirity. I would STRONGLY recommend going through Kelp Reef Adventures if you are planning on doing any ocean activities!

Today I did the 2 hour Kayak tour and I was more than impressed with Kelp Reef Adventures. We were met at the booth by Courtney who went above and beyond to make sure my mom and I felt welcome. He even helped us plan a trip to Sooke for the following day which was so helpful and kind! Brandon was our guide out on the water and he was fantastic! We got an informative tour of the area, history facts, a lesson on kelp (which tasted pretty good!) And an added bonus of seeing seals and their pups! I would HIGHLY recommend this adventure to anyone who wants a fun time out on the water!

Great experience…boyfriend flipped into the waters and our guide was amazing with calming him down and getting him back onto the kayak lol more affordable than the one in downtown Victoria!

Thank you Austin for taking my friends and I out the first time, and letting us come back the next day when 2/4 of us capsized in the middle of international waters (it was my friends’ fault lol)! The rescue went sooo smooth and it was a great time nonetheless. Shout out to Mitch for taking us on the full tour the day after, in which everyone stayed relatively dry. We saw many seals, schools of fish, jelly fish, and ate some kelp. So fun, will be back with others!

Our guide Brandon was amazing! Gave us an excellent tour around the harbour and over to the other side, full of interesting facts and information, and never pushed our very novice group past what we were comfortable with. Safety equipment was well explained and you never felt like you asked him a “dumb” question. Highly recommend Kelp Reef for tours for both newbie and experienced kayakers alike! Having lived in Victoria previously even I learned things about the city I didn’t know. Go here if you’re looking for a fun, active way to spend a few hours!

Austin was awesome and took us out to see the harbour seals even though it was raining. The water was calm and the views were gorgeous. We unexpectedly saw Orcas attempt to hunt the seals beside us. This experience was unreal and I would highly recommend this company, as they are professional and ensure that you have a great experience.

Great day out on the water. Facilities were very good. The skirt and dry launch from the deck was a great touch. Saw otters, eagles, oyster catchers, turkey vultures a lots of seals (with pups). The weather was great and our guide Brandon was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Cheers Brandon.

We enjoyed our time immensely our guide was professional the morning started out very foggy which added to the wonder. On the way back as the fig had lifted it was another beautiful site to behold. We had rain on and off and it did not matter. Highly recommended the morning 3 hour tour. Looking forward to returning for the evening sunset paddle.
