Kensington Medical Clinic

I have previously always had good experiences with this clinic, even though they are very busy and the wait times are substantial. My family doctor is great.

However, I am not sure if the administration or something has changed. My recent experiences have been really terrible. Certain doctors have repeatedly simply cancelled phone appointments if they want to see you in person, anddont offer any options. One usually cant get an in person appointment for at least a few days, sometimes more than a week, so if you have an urgent question good luck.

Their webite is down, and there is an option to email them. If you do, the person responding seems to simply be trying to get rid of you, versus actually trying to help you. Today there was no way to book an appointment, with no help from their front desk.

I don't know what's changed. I can only imagine that they have new people who really aren't very good at what they do, or havent been trained very well.

I went this clinic to consult about my menopause symptoms. I talked to Dr. Viegas.

I was on time for appointment then waited for 20 min. I only talked to Dr.for 3 min. He was standing as far as he can in the small room. He didn't let me explain about my symptom. Just told me that it is not menopause without any testing.

I am suffering mysterious pain and symptoms for 5 years now. I need to reach specialist to solve my health issue.

I requested for the blood testing, rejected.
I requested for referral for specialist, rejected.

I don''t recommend this clinic.

Very slow staff, not very good advice, overall not a good place. I had to wait for hours for a walk in.

I seriously was NOT going to give a single star at all.if not for the other people who work in this clinic. This is not a generalization, but it is a REVIEW. This clinic is definitely a go-to if you want a walk-in consultation because their system is organized and if you get an appointment, you can see a doctor at the same day. But NOT all doctors are the same. They don't all CARE about their patients and would dismiss every single concern that they have because.maybe of something in their history. First impressions sometimes never last, but this one definitely will. Dr. Viegas is one of the clinic doctors and he, although is concerned about infection prevention, would definitely care less about your concerns just because some of your non-specific diagnostic records indicate that you are fine. You will try to raise other possible concerns, but hey, according to him, he cannot really order any laboratory exams because you have your GP to do that for you. He will just refer you back to your GP even though your symptoms are already getting worse that's why you went to the walk-in clinic in the first place. He will also ask you inappropriate questions that are not exactly related to your symptoms just because you are always hungry. He will examine you though, but he will tell you that he doesn't feel anything, although you did tell him that something subjective not objective has changed. In the end.it will be pointless and you will wish you just waited in the hospital for hours instead. But that would be another story.

Very easy to use online booking, Can actually get in to see a doctor unlike most places across BC, staff is super helpful and friendly, and doctors are very efficient especially for the amount of people seen daily 10* service as the medical field doesn't get enough credit when due yet consistently criticized!

I have been a patient of Dr. Li’s for just about 3 years now. I have had probably the best experience with a medical professional that I’ve ever had. She is knowledgeable and empathetic. I’ve had great success in managing migraine pain and I know with her in my corner my prognosis is excellent.
The front staff is awesome, especially Jordan the office manager. Always so accommodating and kind!

How can everything be possible be booked up at 7am when the system is set to reset. Horrible.

Exceptionally rude and callous front desk staff. Nothing more frustrating than dealing with people who clearly hate their jobs and don't care about the people they are supposed to be helping.

I have been with this clinic for many years and I can say their operation and administration is getting better and better every year. I love the possibility of making appointment online and also checking walk in clinic patients number. The staff are also friendly and helpful.

We are lucky to have Dr. Lee as our family doctor. He always ensures that we are well taken care of. It is very easy to book an appointment with him.

I've have nothing but good things to say with my neurologist Dr. Li. She has been great and has helped me in every way in my recovery of brain surgery and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be doing as well as I am doing right now. So I'm completely pleased and happy with my doctor referring me to them. That is my honest opinion so I do recommend it.

I visited this walk in clinic for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised! I’m used to walk-in clinics that are never on time even when you have an appointment and that are full of doctors who don’t give you the time of day. This clinic is by far the BEST I’ve been to, I think ever!

I easily made an appointment when the booking system opened at 7am. I arrived on time and was given a room within 5 minutes. Doctor Baldelli came in the room promptly and I sincerely felt that he took my concern seriously and cared to help. He explained why he ordered the tests he did and was very thorough. He’s even better than my actual family doctor!

The front staff were nice and friendly for the most part aside from one lady but overall very kind. They disinfect everything in the room in between patients and the office as a whole is very clean and spacious. I highly recommend this clinic.

The worse service ever. It’s impossible to book on line and there is no one to speak with when you call.

Kids and I have come to KMC for years since my eldest was a baby. Our experiences have been positive overall and thus, we keep coming back. Yes, it can be tough getting an appointment online even at 7: 00am. You can get there early and line up if you want to "drop-in". Yes, you may also have to wait even if you have an appointment. That is just reality these days. Just logical that you don't book important appointments back-to-back. Phone appointments are great for quick things like regular prescription renewals. Referrals can take some time but that is not something they control in our experience.

I have to write this review and hopefully someone at the clinic could see. I have appointment scheduled with Dr Goodall today at 10am. Prior to this appointment, I received both email and text reminder, which I appreciated! Now it’s 10: 30, I haven’t received any phone calls from clinic or Dr Goodall. No one answered the call at the reception.

Had an X ray done and sent to them. Was told I would get a call back day after but the physician never called and the staff said doctors don’t check emails. Lmao waste of 85$ xray + 200$ for the visit.

Waiting for 2nd day for my requisitions to be emailed, still do not have them and impossible to get hold of them, the line is always busy.

DON'T EVER USE THIS WALK-IN CLINIC!

Their no-show cancellation fee is outrageous. My mom had a bad stomach pain, so I managed to book an appt for her online at 7 am for a 1 pm appointment.about 1 hr later, she felt better and ok, so I thought I would cancel it as not to take the spot for someone who might need it.

And they charged me $50.00!

Worst clinic. Ever. They don’t have walk-ins and when they ask to book online the website doesn’t work.open until 7pm, and from 5 pm to 7 pm they don’t do anything.
Receptionist has no knowledge and completely dumb. Protect them god.

I recently went and saw Dr. Pesantez for the first time at Kensington Medical Clinic and I am so grateful I did! She listened to all of my concerns and took the time to talk me through them. She showed genuine care and reassurance, and she explained to me everything I needed to know in a way that was clear and informative. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Pesantez, and cannot thank her enough!

Appointment doesn’t mean anything. We have seen walk ins admit no appointment and they are taken in in front of my eyes. It happened so many times. Lots count. Doctors are always rushing. So busy all the time. I don’t think they can properly diagnose a problem because they are always in a hurry and running behind.
